The orange peach Police Department received a complaint from a woman who said that officers threw trash down on her front porch. This was after they found a bag containing identifiable information within the bag and brought it back to the house. Upon the complaint Ormond Beach police department said that since the complaint was 30 days older, they cannot take action for discipline on that particular incident, however Beach Police Department, while reviewing the video did find another policy violation and issued a letter of counseling to the officer
Attorney Michelle and I met at the police department. The policy did say that they do not punishment for complaints that are 30 days and older however, after meeting the Chief did email me and remove that provision from the policy.

@@valentinius62 There's no reason to have any time frame for a complaint. If it's too old, then nobody will remember, and the officer will have retired. But even if old slight misconduct is discovered, the bosses can (reasonably?) say "that was 5 years ago and not too major, so we gave the guy a verbal warning" and people will shrug their shoulders. And of course, if old major misconduct is discovered, the bosses should (but won't) fire the dirty pig.

This is ridiculous that this department is intent on limiting a person's ability to make a complaint- absolute disgrace. So much for accountability yet this cop was attempting to minimise how you could even show cause that they would deem worthy. They truly are thugs determined to stop people having any ability to complain. They do not want to accept they have problems & they do not really want anyone complaining - that is the reality. They do not care. I bet this cop asked the lady in such a way to make her feel uncomfortable like she didn't matter & unless she had some brilliant reason for a delay in coming forward he wasn't interested in hearing from her. Cops are great at intimidating or putting folks off without being blatant but making this lady feel she had no option but to shut up & just leave empty handed. Glad to hear this ridiculous issue finally got addressed. There was NO reason to put that in, in the first place except to intimidate the people into not complaining on officers regardless of the issue.

While still unacceptable, talking to the damn officer and being aware of the incident is certainly better than nothing. They aren't going to do anything either way, so....

YT frauditors are surface level know-nothings chasing views & cash. So any actual understanding of the law isn't their primary goal, such as "citizen complaints", that a mere basic understanding of commissioners, city councils, mayors, etc., would explain in detail. But as this video shows, even a supposed attorney apparently doesn't have enough time to do basic research or know about basic city/police structure.
If you will notice, this channel intentionally misrepresented what occurred, in order to push this "attorney" for views. A woman, whose trash was all over the street (illegal littering, possibly by a dog), had her trash bagged up, and put on her porch. In the investigation, the police checked her mailbox to ascertain that the identifiable material in the trash all over the street, matched the homeowners (not a crime in an investigation) mail.
This is evidently an ongoing thing with this neighbor trashing up the neighborhood, and unable to make contact with homeowner, and since police have no probable cause to enter the residence, left the mail with the homeowners trash they bagged up for her. Extremely nice of them to do that when they didn't have to.
So this video attempts to dodge all of that, in order to focus on a complaint the homeowner made, which as nothing to do with the homeowners crime of littering. Since the police department is a subsidiary franchise of the city corporation, they are not by law required to take random complaints, nor take action on them. The city, via the mayor, council, city attorney, and/or commissioners are the ones that have actionable authority to rectify any problems.
The "30 day rule" is irrelevant, which is why the attorney and this channel focused on that. Getting rid of it changes nothing, but what it does do, is push this "attorney" and this channel for views, targeting a specific subset of YT fringe (sov-cits, frauditors, etc.), which was the intent (to soak them out of cash, as is proven by all the sub-quality merchandise this channel panhandles to rubes & fish on commission).
I especially didn't miss the part where this channel is recording private citizens for commercial public use, without written consent by the police involved, or the city mayor/council (which is required by law, including constitutional Right to Publicity/Self-Ownership/Contracting).
To be doing that without consent and release from all parties, is a state & federal crime, specifically RICO Act violations, as it is an ad hoc illegal commercial network across interstate lines for the purposes of illegal profit.
Tell me if I missed something.
      Pro-Tip Hint:
      I didn't miss anything.
Unlike this channel and that "attorney".
