  • Really like how this year's Green Waste video turned out. I went much further than I normally do, so in addition to the normal Leach I also filmed a Peterbilt Automizer on carts and some decent footage of one of the older Big Bites. Not staying in my normal area worked out pretty well, so I'll have to travel a little next time I'm up there.
Thanks to all the drivers! Filmed December 27th, 2014.

I grew up with the Big Bites. The sound is forever ingrained in my subconscious.

Excellent work! Always enjoy some San Jose action! Goodbye to that oTTo container too haha. At the end there, was the driver motioning no more filming or having the most awkward wave I've seen lol

***** He was either telling me he was finished or to stop filming lol, I spent quite awhile trying to decipher what he was telling me. Thanks!

That Labrie is so entertaining! I love the looks of it and GW's color scheme is really nice on the trucks. What other ASLs do they have besides Pete and Autocar Labries? Any other residential trucks aside from ASLs and RELs? The tipper on the REL is awesome, that's something I've loved for many years now. I wonder why they chose the name Greenwaste Recovery though, makes it seem like all they do is pick up yard waste. Though it would make sense if San Jose was their first contract and they started out by "recovering green waste". The Heil REL was cool! Surprised they pack that Otto. Guessing this was before Christmas trees starting coming out right? And you go up to San Jose every year seems like? Awesome job - definitely the best one Tony!

***** They have Condor Labries, at least one Durapack RR, a couple Cool Hands, and I heard the have a new Sidewinder XTR. I have been led to believe "Green" in their name in green as in "environmentally friendly." So what they're trying to say is "Environmentally Friendly Waste Recovery." Not sure what their first contract was so it is possible the name was originally chosen as the more obvious meaning. Surprised to see them pack that Otto too. This was two days after Christmas, I saw a couple out but I don't believe they made it into the video. Yep, once or twice a year I go up to the Bay Area. Thanks!

Is the McNeilus AutoReach from California Waste Solutions doing recycling in this video?

Awesome, awesome job! I always love the San Jose greens videos, but this one is the best so far. Do the ASL's have set routes for greens? Or do you know how they do that since the RL's can tip carts...

The rear loaders have set routes, and the side loaders have huge areas, 5-10 rear loaders routes I'd guess. From there it's just a matter of whoever gets there first for the carts.
