    This is the first time I have seen Copeland when he was younger. He reminds me of an article I read many, many years ago, about a man in his late seventies who was caught by police with the largest child pornography collection ever found. Accompanying the article was a series of mug shots of this man, from his early twenties to his present age. When this man was young he was average looking, as his age advanced his face started to show signs of the rot inside him. The last photo of this man was scary, very close to a typical demon face. When I saw the Inside Edition interview for the first time, when he got into the reporter's face, Copeland looked crazy, even when he smiles he has a sinister look to his eyes. Copeland is a terrifying man.

It really is disturbing and insulting to the true believers who struggle through everyday life and still help others with meager resources and faith, something these rich preachers are definitely in short supply of ! I always asked myself why evil exists, until I have reached the very bottom just to find myself asking God to help me with my struggles. And He sure answered me, which I am forever grateful for. I understand certain people have opposite experiences, that is also the case, but I guess bitterness in some instances has taken over their lives, or as the Bible refers, their hearts are hardened.

He tries to weasel out of giving honest answers to questions by changing the subject, asking questions of the reporter, trying to “charm” her with compliments (shudder) or laughter, but he comes off as so creepy and like someone who is trying to be human but can’t quite pull it off. What's deeply unsettling about Copeland is that if you wanted to cast someone as satan in a film, Copeland would be your first choice. He looks and sounds exactly like what a stereotypical satan would be. So it's strangely ironic that he also acts as if he is satan but professes to be the opposite. Essentially satan is hiding in plain sight but not even trying.

    As a Christian, I am appalled by Kenneth Copeland's actions in this interview. Its disturbing and horrifying to watch Kenneth's eyes, he honestly looks like he's piercing so hard at that reporter that he's trying to get into her soul... kudos to the reporter for standing against him. That was a very demonic feeling watching him when he was trying to defend himself about the purchase of his private jet. The reporter stood her ground and wasn't scared by Kenneth.
    Any preacher who begs his congregation for money and amasses a fortune and lavish properties automatically puts them on the radar as a con-man. I'm surprised Kenneth was able to fool so many followers but then it goes back the old saying "There's a sucker born every minute."
    Elvis once said "The world is a stage and everyone must play their part." Looks like Kenneth is playing his part...

      @kimberlybega8271 Před 8 měsíci +22

      The reason I hesitate at a blanket statement of "tax the churches" is that most churches aren't megachurches with these kinds of funds. From age 11 or 12 onward I have mostly attended small churches. The church I attended in high school and my early 20's had a period where it struggled to pay its bills, and because it was considered a "part-time" pastor position even though we shared our pastor with another church, the one pastor had to take a second job at the local hospital during the week. Fortunately things gradually got better but seeing just how little the pastor made was shocking. My current church entered the year with a huge budget deficit and last year the priest voluntarily took a reduction in salary. I worry churches like this would struggle even more if they would suddenly have to worry about taxes, too. And both these churches I used as examples actually did things to help others, both in local communities and further away.

    • @VaclavSir
      @VaclavSir Před 8 měsíci +6

      It wouldn't change much. If the churches were corporations, the small ones would pay little to nothing (because the corporate tax is calculated on profits), and the megachurches would optimize (all the mansions and airplanes would be their expenses), so they would also pay little to nothing.

      Yes, sadly there are so many scams out there. I agree that everyone should stay safe from scams, use our brains and don't assume anyone has all of the answers.
      I am saddened for my fellow Christians who fall victim to guys like Ken Copeland. Yes, of course I feel bad for them because no one deserves to be lied to and scammed out of their money, especially given that many of Ken's donors are poor people who desperately need help, only made poorer and more desperate by giving to him. It is so heartbreaking.
      On the other hand, I am also embarrassed for fellow Christians who are scammed by these wolves because the Bible warns extensively about avoiding false teachers like this, but most "Christians" don't read the Bible, they know very little about God and they are still just as carnal as most non-Christians, sadly making them prey to wolves like Ken Copeland who tickle their "itching ears".
      "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;"
      2 Timothy 4:3 KJV

    Thank you for the full video of interview about the planes - previously I had only heard shorter clips. This shows the greater context, and the wider arrogance that people need to see him speak around the world - not others preaching from a longer term local presence.
    And as so many claims, I doubt the claim of x millions brought to faith through his work. As a Church leader myself I know that the 'altar call' style, especially in the church contexts that use them, people come forward multiple times. And at big events (eg Billy Graham crusades) faith decisions were next steps from foundations that were nurtured in local, traditional, churches. It is classic 'missionary maths' that highlights the number who said something in a moment, rather than spiritual journeys through life or not at all.
    As for being with 'real people' before preaching - I can accept that the last half hour before an event it is good to be able to focus - but being in the midst of normality before preaching is very powerful in rooting us in who we are and who we dare to speak to. (PS I bet on commercial flights he was upfront not economy anyway).

      Right?!?! He apparently believes as long as he dutifully punctuates with "hallelujah, glory to God, praise Jesus" it really doesn't matter what he says, and judging by the huge audiences and Kardashian lifestyle, it doesn't. Sadly, in the churchianity world, he and his ilk have more supporters than critics. Same with the whole boatload of heretics preaching this demonic "prosperity" nonsense. I've grown to see these "pastors" in the same light as I do politicians, Hollyweirdos (including the "news" media in there) and doctors. And that is NOT a good thing! Like ZERO trust.
      Even people who sit under biblically-sound teaching go home and turn this kind of garbage on--and then go believing it. Many of us literally lose friends--and are even slandered by our lovely Xtian bretheren and sisteren--for rejecting and kicking over these sacred cows. Relatively few people will actually appreciate you for exposing the evil, but they sure good at spreading the word how mean, intolerant, and critical YOU are! Oh, yeah, I remember now....they call that "sharing in love".
