UNFORGIVING Full Body Workout with Dumbbells | EPIC Heat - Day 14

  • 30 minutes in this unforgiving full body workout with dumbbells incorporating strength, endurance, core stability, core strength and control to involve all of the major muscle groups using antagonist training!
    Even though we are working hitting the quads then hamstrings for example, this is a very demanding workout as your heart rate is elevated therefore it is crucial to ensure you don’t neglect your technique performing these compound movements.
    I hope you really challenge yourself and be in charge of those dumbbells!
    For this full body workout, you will need a pair of dumbbells, your mat and a yoga block/book to simply increase the challenge on lunges and squats!
    The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 15kg each and 8kg each for some upper body such as Arnold press.
    The timer will be on for 50 seconds of work, 10 seconds rest for the first portion all being lower body.
    Once we move to upper body focus, the timer will be 45 seconds of work, 15 seconds rest.

    And once you begin the isolation work on the biceps and triceps, you will notice you have already been hitting those muscles during the rows and diamond press!

    Am I the only one who feels empowered after these workouts? 💪🏻 I have learned to thank my body for what it allows me to do instead of just focusing on my physical appearance... thank you Caroline for making me realise it! I will never thank you enough... 💓
    If someone last year had told me that I would have been able to smash these kind of workouts, I would have laugh... but then I found Caroline and even after this terrible stressing week when I was feeling under the weather, seeing this woman’s strength and smile changed my mood!

      yes Martina, the focus has shifted from what we want our body to look like to what we want our body to achieve 💪 everytime i feel the exercise is too hard, instead of stopping, i push harder and i just always remember to be thankful that my body can take on the load and move this way... albeit not as graceful or powerful as C (most of the time) 😂

    Caroline, I hope this doesn’t come out the wrong way, but it’s so nice to see such a fabulous fitness CZcamsr/trainer who isn’t in their 20’s. I’m in my mid 30’s and things definitely aren’t the same for me now as they were 10-15 years ago. Seeing someone close to my age being so strong gives me so much more motivation.

      I think it really depends, I'm in my 40s and in the best shape ever and stronger/more endurance than I had in my 20s which were spent drinking, smoking and not seeing an inside of the gym ever.

    Day 14 and I've finally managed real push-ups, not even just one but four in a row with perfect form! I'm almost crying tears of real joy and pride over this tiny accomplishment, I really can never thank Caroline enough for all her hard work and dedication! I hope you guys are feeling it as well!     Your "quality over quantity" mantra has completely changed my approach to workouts and why I do them. I used to workout because I wanted to keep weight off and stay lean.       Fantastic Leah!! Yes, it’s so good to sometimes just relax and focus during the movements instead of ploughing through to get the reps completed. I think that’s one of the positives of time based... even though timed yet completely at own pace with less pressure and more focus on quality over hitting the 12 reps for example!

    Mom 67 year old mother started doing these with me! For two months she did the "Beginner Epic" over and over because she was worried she was too old to keep up with the other series. I encouraged her to try Epic Heat and she is KILLING it!! Yesterday she texted me for the first time in 20+ years that she could do 10 push ups! She said she hasn't felt this strong in years. She is in the 7th week of heat (I'm repeating it) and we are just loving it.

    Hi Caroline....I'm a little late to the party but am soooo glad I have found you! I'm a busy working mum, a fitness and Pilates trainer for more than 20 years and a Physiotherapist. I'm loving your workouts.....hard work but fit nicely into half an hour which works perfectly for me in my working day. Already I'm feeling and looking stronger and feeling fantastic too.     I always cry at the end of the workouts. Tears of happiness and surprise my body is capable of so much more than I gave it credit for. And have Caroline to thank for that, I’ve never been this strong and never enjoyed working out as much as I do now. 🥰 Thank you Caroline for being the brightest light during quarantine.

    I sorta messed up a little….for the first arms set I stupidly thought we were dropping to the lighter weights for all the arms portion. When I realized how easy it was, I thought, no way Caroline would be going THAT easy on us! So I had to pause the video, rewind, and saw that she was indeed using her heavy weights! So I had to repeat that section 😌
    Great workout, super challenging, feel refreshed, stronger and ready to start my day.

    I am really getting stronger with these workouts. My 11 year old daughter laughed at me before when opening a new workout from Caroline I used to say oh my God , I will never ever be able to do it. But she doesn't laugh at me anymore. Because she sees the results and the progress I have done through 3 weeks only. Thank you very much, Caroline. I really appreciate what you do for us.

    Today I am super surprised and shocked with my experience of this workout . It truly made me so proud on myself beyond my all expectations and limits since I had crossed my all boundaries for weights limits which I had never thought to do so& I just tried and I did it .

    Great 30mins went of 15kg for everything today with the exception of the curls used 10kg for those. Felt really good today but those deadstop lunges really are a leveller. L Sit seemed good however on the final set I thought someone had set me on a vibroplate I was shaking that much holding them. Arnolds aren't my favs when it comes to shoulders but I know they are so effective so I just pump them out and who doesnt love a wee set of pushups. Today I have earned the EPIC on my trainers Caroline 😎

L sits are hard...I find they keep turning into V sits if you are not careful! Full rest day for me tomorrow...actually a 5 mile walk planned...but I see that as relaxation!     Thank you Caroline for all you do for the fitness community. There are a ton of workouts online but you are the only one providing us with an excellent and structured strength based programming fee of cost which is a huge service to all of us following you. I am actually on Epic II day 5 but didn't have the time this morning to commit to a full hour but with your Epic Heat you have given me the choice to choose a shorter workout and reap the same benefits. I have to say we are all spoilt for choices.

      Brischit, the important thing is you are doing it. Caroline is global so know whenever you are working out there are others doing it with you. I am in the US so just getting to this now.

    Caroline, this is by far my favourite of your full-body workouts. It was fun, the burn was real. I used various Dumbbells, from my 30kg Kettlebell for the Sumo Squats and had mine elevated using my yoga blocks. Two 9kg and 5kgs. I held the 9kgs together with the 5kgs now that I don't have heavier Dumb bells, and worked well with some moves but not all. Thank you very much, and have a good day. 💖

    The perfect workout to end the week! I am so ready to crush this workout. May I just say that your workout drops at 12noon here and I get excited to check it out right away as it mentally prepares me to do the workout, finish my work as soon as, so I can do this!!!
