Called the W29, Mercedes Benz only produced this vehicle between 1934 and 1936, the K in its name means, Kompressor, or Supercharger, to distinguish it from the 500 sedan. Powered by a 5 liter straight 8 cylinder engine, producing 160HP, and capable of over 100 MPH

The most details are not exact and nice.
The kits came with a 3 spoke wood grain wheel from what I remember. That’s what all my replicas came with. I love finding these cars. Heritage Motors was my family’s company. I still have multiple cars and the promotion car hauler they used for car shows. I walked the assembly line as a kid learning to turn wrenches for the first time. Were the car modernization features everyone’s cup of tea? No, but it helped sell the cars for more profit.
Some 25 years back I saw a 1928 replica, in red color, for sale in Nan Nuys California that was a lot cheaper than this one yet a lot more believable. Wish I had bought it then...
Man Garibay, when filming this car, do you know what make of replica made this Mercedes 500K? It is wonderfully authentic except for the obvious modern era steering wheel, crooked seats and top of hood louvers. I'd love to buy one and correct those three things.

Reading the comments, people do not realize what’s going on here. This is not a replica. This was sold as a kit and assembled by a customer. Heritage Motors also offered replica cars and they offered assembled custom kit cars. This car was definitely assembled by someone who bought a basic kit and added random car parts to it to complete the build.

Doesn’t look like the real deal to me. Many details are not correct but otherwise a passable homage to the real thing. As long as the owner enjoys the car, that’s all that matters.
This is a fake car. They have not even bothered to change the modern steering wheel.

You are completely right Sir. Prior to filming this video, about a year before. I saw my very first 500k replica at another car show, I approached the owner and congratulated him on his awesome car, but later as I filmed it in detail I saw what a disappointment it was. Bad thing about it, the owner didn't even mention it was a fake.

+T Eis im planning to build a ssk roadster and 540k cabriolet, right now you can buy all the parts that u are missing from the actual Mercedes dealer, they are not cheap but the replica with real Mercedes parts and one that looks similar to the real car will have more value than this, this replica is nice from far but the tires are from a modern car and the steering wheel is just awful but its nice, although worthless
+Club Bmw Amg The steering wheel shows that it's not trying to impersonate a 500k, just emulate it. I wonder how much you would end up dumping in a replica to get it absolutely perfect copy 1:1 on every part. Now with 3d scanning and 3d metal printing available, I don't see this being impossible.
Mark M its not impossible but the labor time might become more expensive than getting the real thing, it needs to be calculated

That’s a fuckin replica.
I intend no malice, however, Heritage built 500K cars I like least because they're the most fake looking of the 500K replicas. A few examples, the doors are hinged on the wrong side, the original and other replicas have suicide hinged doors. The exterior door handles are modern molded in modern lift up handles, the rear tail light are a molded as part of the fender - weird, front parking lights are VW. Also, Heritage cars lack the side chrome moldings. I understand Heritage bought HT Price's company after he passed away, his cars are the most authentic looking of the replicas. Again, don't take it personal, but I'd be embarrassed to own a Heritage car. I am looking to buy an HT Price car or build a kit myself, minus the chessy steering wheel and crooked seats this car has. Otherwise this car is very nicely done, wish I knew where they got the headlights, on Heritage its a seal beam inside of a larger headlight shell that looks weird, again it just screams FAKE.
