JIMMY PAGE OF ( LED ZEPPELIN ) loves this band. He met the group back stage and asked if he could have his picture taken with the drummer( AKANE ) she thought it was a dream ( it was not ) a rock legend like that giving props to the girls, how awesome is that.Jimmy Page( LED ZEPPELIN) just after seeing the band play in Tokyo in 2016. He complimented Akane. Akane was star struck. She later said Mr Jimmy Page-san offered her much encouragement and she promised to do her best. The talent level is off the charts, These girls are flat out ROCK STARS. SHRED ON LADIES...

After years of following some of the great bands of the past I found opera and for the past 20 years never listened to rock. Then by chance 18 months ago I heard and saw Band Maid. Light bulb moment. Such musicianship, such talent, such stage presentation. Everyone is perfect and their music is so clever and intricate. I say this with some knowledge of major stage music. They are just the best.

@@EbefrenRevo Miku's lyrics, especially after translation, can be cryptic - open for interpretation, as are all poems and lyrics. I know the "dice" have already been thrown, but I choose to look at all the words and feel all the music of Dice and come up with my own basic meaning -- to quit "backtracking", "give it a shot", "seize the moment", and "decide to rise up."

I like "Alone" too. Especially Kanami's guitar solo.

I don't know if you've done it yet but if you really want to see their musicianship they have a live version of a song called Onset that is purely instrumental
Most people recommend their favorite songs of the bands. That's ok of course, but I think it always depends on who shall watch the video! To all, who make music or play in a band, I can only recommend one thing... watch from band-maid first "Real Existence" , live 2018. On their channel. Only then you will know what this band can REALLY do on stage! !

It's not easy to catch but quite a lot of this is in English, 'Seize the moment, one moment of pain, ten moment(s )of delight'. Throw away your doll, roll the dice and see what you can do with the world. The only down sides of Band-Maid are the serious addiction and the way listening to them can spoil enjoyment of just about any other music.
I have found that as l listen more and more over time the English lines becomes much easier to discern. "Winning or losing l'm playing. .."

This is not metal, it is hard rock which grabs you right away and does not let go until the end. These ladies knew what they wanted and went for it.

"Daydreaming" is a beautiful slower song with enough Japanese-pronunciation English words/phrases to keep focused on the lyrics trying to find them. It's Kanami's favorite song (she probably wrote it about Saiki, now that I think about it - lol).

Don't know if you have heard this one but it's Rush, live, Spirit of Radio with a really good intro. It's about 11 minutes long but a really good version of the song

Let me parrot what you will hear from 99 out of 100. This is the most compelling, charismatic, talented, and far too often misunderstood, even by many Japanese themselves, hard rock band working anywhere on the planet today. Their new single "Different" drops on December 2nd. The new album will be out in January. Care to name the number of artists or rock bands who have put out a volume of music in a comparable amount of time to the amount of music that Band-Maid has since inception? That list is very short. The only acts to exceed them are the Beatles, the Stones, Frank Zappa, Bob Dylan and Neil Young. Pretty exclusive company. Then you are lucky like l was and you get to see them perform for two hours standing close enough to touch them in LA last September and you realize that there is no one in the genre of hard rock who can touch them. They are now recording for Pony Canyon and Different, their first single for their new label will be the theme song to a new anime production from Pony Canyon. Obviously, this will raise their profile in their homeland immensely if this anime becomes very popular in Japan. Also if and when you find decent translations for the lyrics (Musixmatch, Unisom or Band-Maid Café on the web) you will discover that most of Miku's lyrics are completely autobiographical. And lastly the premise is what Miku, the band's founder, calls the gap. You see five ladies dressed in maid attire and you form an immediate opinion. Then Kanami straps on her PRS and the next though that crosses your mind is what the fuck. Miku thinks this should be applied to many aspects of modern life. Don't judge a book by its cover. Sacramento loves Band-Maid.
regardless of the lyrical content.. even when i know what the song is about, the music and the way they perform it just makes me feel good.

But the accent is just too much for me to get the English very heavily. hahaha...Idk, after Neil Peart departed, rock lyrics aren't so interesting to me...like, Neil did it to perfection, so I don't care anymore about lyrics...
