I'm 19 and I think I have what it takes to get to my true goals and dreams. The pressure is real but I love it , makes me motivated to actually get out my bed. My first goal is too drop 140lbs and I've done 30lbs so far currently 230. I've felt like I've wasted this past year so I have to get my focus sharper. I'm finna quit my job because it's a piece of shit not cuz I'm lazy but I've stayed late and came in on my days off and I've always asked myself if I can put all this effort in this job why not put that energy in too myself? I dont want too waste time anymore because it's too precious. Dont get me wrong I've made 10k at the grocery store but I worked too hard for too little. I know I have to sacrifice to get where I want to be!

I quit because even though that was my only option at the time I knew I could get better eventually and that It was always gonna be better than staying at a shitty job with a shitty boss who didn't pay me enough (minimum wage) for the shit he would get me through. So yeah the days following my resignation I felt like shit because I didn't have nothing and that was my first job but guess what. Couple days after, I got a call from a friend who worked at a restaurant and asked me if I needed a job with him and I was getting payed way better and working a decent job with my friends with a decent boss. Don't settle for less, know your value and be patient.

Fuck most of that hit home. 32, out of options, scamming/hustling/scheming just to get through another day doing kid shit/drugs etc with literally nothing going for me. Showering and keeping my room clean regularly would be a significant turn around. I really hope that someday I can be Joey's age and reflect back on right now being the time I was finally able to pull it together and regain a life that's actually worth living

This one hit hard to home, I’m a 19 year old guy went to college to be go into manufacturing. I’m now working as a press machine operator making good money. Sure it’s rare for someone at my age to follow a career path at such an age but at the same time it’s not something I see myself doing 30+ years
