Sully you may have cross play on make sure to double check cause pc players are a whole year ahead of us

DL the game for 1st time yesterday, went through all the menus real fast, some light character customization, moved a few buttons based on the ones that felt awkward in tutorial, picked the character i had a random outfit for, then went straight into 3s. Ended up button mashing & winning my first match & went 11-0 (i know it was probably low mmr but still lol). had to shut game down to go to bed, now today at work im looking up tutorials how to actually play haha
Keep in mind, the first few games you play, its all against AI, to allow you to learn, and to just get used to it. So once you get past that...it gets MUCH harder!
@@admiralomega ya i learned about the AI afterwards, But after over a month im still doing pretty well. in Both comp and casual solo queueing 3s im steady at 40-50% win rate and 50-60% top5 and usually getting 12k-25k dmg with 10-20kills per game after hundereds of games. But there are often those games where Chinese/asian veteran players who always seem to play in 3 stacks swarm & wreck me as soon as i attack 1
Unfortunately I can not have my camera sensitivity that high as I get motion sickness from the camera moving that fast.
What’s the highest rank you were able to climb with controller? I’m just curious to know because I play on PC but I just don’t like using keyboard, and would like to know if controller is actually viable against keys and mouse.
I play warrior controls only thing I find hard is the focus dash cancelling ect I can do the wall movements ect just the advanced move tech is a lil iffy for me
Update: Upon release naraka updated a few things. Most of this video stands correct but ive updated my ADS to 5. Once again, the sens is something you should practice and get comfortable with :) Happy gaming
Which ADS looking at the settings there is a lot that says ads sorry just new at the game and your video was the first one that popped up for me im dropping that follow as well
@@KVergara90 my horizontal view sensitivity (ADS) and vertical view sensitivity (ADS) they should be the 3rd and 4th options in the video that are set to 40. That value is now 5. Hope this helps!

How can counter light attack spams
Got the game last week its sick im level 35 already only won once but had about 10 top 5 i think the not easy to win which is good if it was easy and you win all the time they would be no point its a challenge to win which is the way i like it
Parry tut pls
I’m confused movement wise and how parrying works and when to time a parry
Parrying is very hard at first for new players and I've thought about making a video just for parrying. I suggest practicing parrying against the bot in free training. The bot is able to use all combos for all weapons so its good practice.
u can’t party light attacks when the opponent lights up blue prepare to parry it’s about timing at that point.
@@Zokast03 yup. best way to get used to the timing is more reps for each weapon. Also learning each weapon and having an at least basic understanding helps as well. Free training with the bot can provide great practice too!

I’d recommend you don’t have anything bound to down on the D-Pad, cause looting in this game is a bit annoying using ur sticks.
yeah exactly, I experimented before with down as my weapon switch but since they added that dumb wheel thing now its not viable. This is apart of why i use my Left analog to switch weapons now.
How do you block? I know you can parry but I don't know how to block attacks and I'm tired of running out of stamina for dashing.
Hey Ace - Unfortunately there is no "block" mechanic, although the greatsword offers a stone-form block when using it. The best way to avoid/counter attacks is to either dodge or parry. You are running out of stamina due to lack of talents. Level up your talents and youll see the difference right away. Hope this helps!

does the clash constitutes as a block or its just considered a clash?
@@TWzonenoflexxOD its considered a clash, the player with the GS has a decision to either release the "stone form" charged attack or cancel out of it. Most newer players will do the former and release the stone form.
How do u parry with this settings?
what the difference in parry and quick counter? I could never figure it out?
normal parry = pressing both attack buttons at the same time. Quick counter allows you to parry utilizing only one button instead of the two attack buttons. Quick counter does not require you to cancel your attack in order to parry where as a normal parry does. Hope this helps!

Also is there someone on CZcams that explains the patch notes. A lot of content wasn't on the beta for xbox last week and idk what some of the stuff even means.
@@TWzonenoflexxOD they both will disarm the enemy and accomplish the same goal. I dont believe there is currently anyone who breaks down the patch notes on youtube, though most will gladly break them down on their livestreams.

A button is normally used for jump, I instead use my right analog. Feel free to use A for jump or another important function
This all makes sense except the sliding uppercut is even harder for me with having every button needed on the right side. Hitting y and b at the same time is a bitch on Xbox

Why dont you link anything to A button?
the idea here is to keep my thumbs on my analog sticks as much as possible. I have both my Y and B linked to my back paddles. So the only button im using is my X which is used to repair and pick up things so thats okay. If i didnt have paddles i would certainly use A as that is the easiest one to reach. I hope this helps.
I’ve been hearing bout this skill rating and all but I won my first 3 games and always end up top 5 but I do notice that there are bots
when you first start there may be plenty of bots and as you progress through rank they go away. The game is easy to learn but hard to master and youll hit a few walls along the way. feel free to hmu on discord if you have more questions.

Using left stick to change attack direction seems way easier and faster than having to turn the camera direction
it'll be easier in the beginning but eventually when we want to start doing basic combos it will be harder to do with that option. I would test out both options and go with the one that's most comfortable for you. Hope this helps

Do you use paddles...?
Yes, i mapped both my Crouch and Dodge to these paddles.
Played my first game yesterday n got 12 kills ( with default controls ) after seeing this tho I may have to change a few.
Side note, just tried to unbind some like u suggested, and it won’t let us save them if something in unbound.
Glad to hear you dropped 12 kills! I do know certain buttons cant be unbound if they are an important function. Youre quick counter should be unbound by default i believe. Let me know if youre still having trouble

So far the only character I like to use Yoto.I’m curious as to who u play tho. And if u have any preferences on the hero’s abilities and ultimates.
@@jdog9420 Yoto is a great character and shes good for any mode. Im currently maining Wuchen and yoto. I tend to lean toward characters that allow me a chance to reset and heal. Wuchen has his 3rd skill which can heal and protect me from range, and yoto has her 3rd skill which protects her as well. Thats usually what i look for before choosing a character. Ultimates arent as important but being able to escape or do crazy damage helps.

it does support controller vibration but i personally choose not to use this option

@@robsauceda4087 should be under button layout and then the last option where it says "Controller Vibration" set that to on if youd like.
Gave this a try and can say its not for me. Couldnt even get past the tutorial. Between the weird controls etc, idk why games cant just use the same controls as every other game of its type. Like warzone fortnite etc.

Yeah it unfortunately is, one benefit i do have is access to paddles on my controller. However if you dont have these, I would try to make best use of your Left and Right analog sticks to help make up for that. Good luck KingKai, let me know if you have more questions!
