    She made an important point that falls on deaf ears in the West. Other countries are tired of being served a meal of threats and lectures topped off by hypocrisy. The United States invaded Iraq and Afghanistan to topple their governments without any moral hesitation at all and nobody did a thing to stop them, let alone even think of sanctions. While the West is counting the numbers of civilians killed in Ukraine on an almost daily basis, the United States wrote off the deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan as collateral damage. The message that is coming across from America is “I’ll do whatever I want and the rest of you will do what I say.”

That influence in the American context, with a strong push to go back to the days of Laissez-faire capitalism. They most definitely would not allow any sort of controls over profiteering or exploitation. You can tell they are bairly containing their internal hatred of the reimmergence of labor power and unions. There is no way they would allow corporations to be shackled by morality and ethics.

WE contribute to through taxes. Yet the corporate world, the insiders and government officials seem to keep just getting crazy rich. There is no difference of a Russian oligarch or an American, British, French, Canadian or what ever. The easy street of 'old money' and investment schemes from that early hay day of greed have left the working class people with one option. The option is to fight to overhaul scheme of Capitalism. Gas price is up 100%, bread, meat, energy, rent, housing prices in some cases have been increased by 200 to 300%. These aren't completely due to the "cost push" factor, but more to greeds by the oligarchy, monopoly companies, future commodity market, and oil companies. Who owns the shares of these companies? The 10% of upper class, ppl who are making a killing and have the politician in their pockets. Ukraine war is another shock therapy for another phase of neo-liberalism to complete barbarism. The USA has been "printing money" since the 2008 crisis. You can't keep that up without affecting the value of the USA Dollar and the related "petro-dollar." Everybody is screaming about inflation without acknowledging the history of "currency failures" due to inflating the money supply and then merely moving that excess into pockets of the rich. As a global reserve currency (under pressure from alternatives) the USA is losing its financial credibility. The US dollar is losing value, so it is a serious DEFLATION in the value of US Dollars. USA is an "empire" being challenged by both China and Russia, who both have "leaders for life" that look a lot like Napoleon, the hero to so many maniacal military geniuses. And the Patriotic Allegiance of Americans creates an all-or-nothing, win-or-lose scenario to go down fighting. The rest of the planet needs to END the Chess Game of Military Solutions by knocking the Three Empires off of their Imperial Thrones and creating a world without empire(s). Survival entails decreasing conflicts to near ZERO, without "fake" proxy wars destroying human civilization.

The dollars payed out in stimulus, unemployment, vaccine contracts etc. by the government had to be funded with dollars that didn't previously exist, ie debt spending, currency printing. Inflation is an expansion of the money supply. If Japan is not having Inflation it is because they are paying off more debt than they are creating

    Fear not the imaginations against thee, let not the incredulity of them trouble thee, that speak against thee. For all the unfaithful shall die in their unfaithfulness.

    Therefore saith the Lord, I will hold my tongue no more as touching their wickedness, which they profanely commit, neither will I suffer them in those things, in which they wickedly exercise themselves: behold, the innocent and righteous blood crieth unto me, and the souls of the just complain continually.

      @@kx7500 horizontal? A state solution is the only solution available. Our present unchecked capitalist corporate plutocracy is obviously not the state or solution needed. An actual functional " For the people " democracy with a social structure to provide basic social needs for us all as a common acknowledged approach. So we can as a family/nation house our homeless, feed our hungry, educate our children, ensure medical care/healthcare for everyone. Plan for our future instead of insisting as long as Wallstreet is up all is right in the world.

    • @kx7500

      @@fellsmoke a state can never work for the people because centralization inherently is undemocratic and authoritarian. The state is literally just an organization tool for the ruling class. Capitalism can not exist without the state. Democracy is horizontal, decentralized. Not vertical like a state.

    • @fellsmoke
      @fellsmoke Před 2 lety +1

      @@kx7500 obviously semantics are an issue. Talking past others because their word definitions and usage differ from yours when what they say is obviously based on an obvious difference in word usage "definition" missed the point. Obviously my definition of democracy includes the usage of the word "state" as in a "democratic state" how about a democratic state of mind? Words are trivial and all important too. One word can hold various meanings in one mind, and every mind doesn't know the actual meaning attached by another mind without mutual understanding clarification is always a necessity. Especially in dealing with strangers out of the blue. "Nation" by my definition of the word implies "family" A tribal group is generally the essence of a nation. As long as purpose and intent is culturally unified as a cooperative unit/group, to promote itself as a whole, even with hierarchy, which is an essential component regardless anyway and always in a democracy or any social order, as long as the common good is the open objective it can qualify as a nation. I see China, with it's 5000 years of continuous cultural existence, and current sea change of higher life quality wrought for the great masses of that place to be a "National" achievement. On the other hand I look at this place, my home, the US, and all I see is a place. A capitalist plutocracy from inception till today. Nation doesn't apply unless by Nation you mean corporate plutocracy, owned by a tiny few, not me or you. We are we "stock" workers, cannon fodder, source of cheap flesh and slave labor. You understand? Private "chattel" slavery was ended during the civil war as a means to impoverish wealthy southerners for whom slaves represented huge capital value. The Thirteenth amendment as I say explicitly ended it. But it also maintained slavery for the "state" legally with the clause allowing the enslavement of incarcerated people by the state, be it city, county, state , federal, and now corporate prison industry subcontractors. So I maintain this is a place a nasty capitalist state, certainly not a democracy or a Nation, it is the land of doublespeak, the land of the free, with more people incarcerated than anywhere else on earth, in a place/nation not a nation with legalized slavery for it's incarcerated. A predatory police state.
