  • It’s been a little more than a year since Jeff and Rob moved from their 900 square-foot pole barn shop in Rob’s backyard to a 5000 square-foot industrial building in the heart of Keansburg NJ. Tagalong as Jeff gives us a tour of the new shop and points out some of the changes, upgrades and new tools that have been added over the past year to help turn this shop into a streamlined state of the art cabinet shop. Thanks for watching and let us know what you’d like to see next.

    I enjoy watching shop tours. Most are from hobbyists like myself. It is nice to see a professional tour like yours. Very informative. Thank you!

    Nice to see the progress you have made. Not everyday we get to see a custom production shop operation.

    Ah so that’s what the Podcast studio looks like. I’ve always imagined something different. Too funny. Shop looks good boys. Lots of nice toys. I get the dust extraction thing, that’s a commitment to permanently pipe that gear in. You want to make sure it’s right. I’ve had to change mine a couple of times for various reasons and it’s a pain in the ass.

    Loved the tour. Can't wait to see what you all do with the podcast studio/client showroom. Do you have any area where you clean out the spraying equipment? Like a slop sink.
    I did notice a staircase near the new paint supply cabinet. Is any of the upstairs space usable?
    Love the vids and all the info you guys provide. Keep up the great work!

      Thank you! We have a HUGE old double sink in the bathroom that we use to clean the spray gun. The upstairs loft is maybe 10x12. Great to storage!

    What’s up with the 17” bandsaw? What make is it? Just wondering if it’s a lemon of in a production shop, you would want something bigger for resaw, etc. and the 17” becomes a saw for curves, etc. Really enjoyed the tour and I think the connection you three have is great and it comes through to your audience. Thanks.

    • @TodaysCraftsmen
      @TodaysCraftsmen  Před 4 měsíci

      Thanks so much!
      The bandsaw is a 17” grizzly. It has a decent resaw capacity (11” or 12”?) but it badly needs to be tuned. We honestly don’t use it much. Haven’t done solid bookmatched panels in ages.

    Thanks for the tour! Do you have a video on the big sander? If you dont maybe you can show it off or give advice for a first time buyer.

      Thanks for watching! Which one? The wide belt sander or the 6x100 horizontal?

    • @TimeToBuild2024
      @TimeToBuild2024 Před 4 měsíci +1

      The wide belt sander.... I saw the one on the horizontal..I got alot of little projects laying around I never finish because of the sanding. Like 20 cutting boards lol
