Bought an original Savage 25 in August of 2003 when they were released at Pegasus Hobbys in Monclair, Ca, while I was on vacation. Pegasus has since moved to Upland ,Ca. I didn't have a clue that the model had just been released. Took it back to the high Mojave desert to break it in. Figure 8's to break in the diffs and put some time on the Nitro Star 25. Then started ripping the Desert. Raced and won with that truck for over 10 years. Glad they are still around. Savage Central was the hangout website back then. Be careful with the close-in shots of the truck flying. Enough weight to kill you. Watched a Corner Marshall get scalped by a 1/8 scale Nitro buggy at a big team sponsored Pro regional race. It hit him right at the forehead hairline, near the top. Ripped the skin and hair off the top of his head, in one big patch. Alot of people got physically Ill from the sight. The whole food chain showed up, cops and ambulance, and more cops, and more cops.
There's something about the driving dynamics of a savage that make it more fun that all the low cg cars. Once I experienced the old savage 25, I had to get myself the x4.6
Absolutely. And the channels that are sending them to extraordinary heights are probably getting their parts for free from these Manufacturers. At least the big ones for sure.@@rawrc

I agree 100%!
The Savage is just awesome. Proud owner of a 25 and a 4.6 X GT-3
They are great....not 30-foot flying rigs, but they can handle some abuse for mid range bashing👍
