- From 1980 through 1988, Alaska had video-documented unnatural, disturbing activity. As above, so below: from deep sea discoveries, to parallel universes.
Tonight, we tune into Arcadia TV.
Big shout out to @ChillingAbyss for creating this series.

Man, my brain autocompleted that statement to "If you or someone you know has recently come into contact with an unusual entity, you may be entitled to financial compensation" lmao
Staying home sick from school in an analog horror terror town.
"Have you or someone you know come into contact with an unknown entity and have now been diagnosed with mesothelioma? You may be entitled to financial compensation."
Sounds like the end of a lawyers commercial lol.

Alaska is one of those places that has natural beauty that is matched only by the WTF spookiness that casually happens there. God bless em, 1,000 miles from civilization.
Not really
I went to Alaska in early December for, no joke, a swim meet (ncaa college swimming is a winter sport and it was indoors). It was incredible, and seeing the northern lights was a whole experience in itself. But being in a place where the sun didn't appear until around 10am, never fully getting to high noon, and then setting around 3pm was a very bizarre experience. I felt almost... alien? Lol but the strangest sight there was seeing all the locals walk around in t-shirts in -12 Fahrenheit!
Hey Serran ! fancy seeing you here 👋🏽😊
@emo_penguin420 just be happy you don't have to live here through the winter. It's so shitty. 😂
"1,000 miles from civilization." Anchorage is 4 times the size of Dallas.
Sucks to be the third universe. Imagine making contact with another sentient group and they're like, "Hell nah, you're a weirdo."
Ong bro, im not even mad that they refused to help at the end there
theyre actively in a desolate world that the other two couldve helped but nahhh, theyre just needlessly hating
@@MadenyAu"please... We beg you... Water for our planet, so life may flourish"
"Lol nah you guys look weird"
as you can tell, i was still fighting a slight cold when i covered this. but we are so back.
Don't beat yourself up too much. I usually get a head cold every year.
So glad you're back, but do take care of yourself ❤
hope youre drinking hot tea with honey. you sound great even when youre sick
Hope you know how much we appreciate you pushing on to upload content 😊❤, thank you Maverick hope you feel better soon 👋🏽🤒🙏🏽
Actually, I didn't notice. Good stuff as always anyway. Feel better and take care, dude.
Watched this with my mom. The last 2 tapes were insane. The thought of that slow wait while the parallel universes collide and then *something* else interjects. But it’s too late to go back now. Truly incomprehensible
it wasnt tho, PU1 just didnt want to stop, but they very well could of at the first sign of PU3
Hello mother
Wait where can I watch it
Considering how Alaska is roughly 2.5 larger then Texas and how remote it is, it's VERY conceivable that a bunch of cryptids are living there and in The Yukon. Case in point: The Waheela, a super wolf that is known for biting off the heads of people.
That's true but people don't understand how truly big it is. I used to live in Texas, drove 9 hours straight and I was still in texas. Alaska is gigantic
Looks like a giant squid
Winter is just around the corner now and it fucking suuuuucks. It's beautiful here during the summer but Jesus, the winter is really emotionally exhausting.
Why would Alaska's size and relative remoteness mean any cryptids live there? Cryptids are highly unlikely to exist at all. At best they make for a few decent stories. Most of the so called "sightings" are at night, distorted view. The human mind and imagination fills in gaps when we see or think we see some odd things at night. Some deformed animals are the most likely actual sightings and stories get told and made up and twisted and retold over and over again until the original tale isn't even recognizable anymore. There are so many ways the brain can be twisted to believe the most unlikely and outrageous stuff. Just look at religions and God's. Superstitions and stories that people what so badly to believe are true they trick their own mind into believing it.
@@khanofkhans6546ah cmon man, try to loosen up a little and have some fun thinking about this stuff lol
The signal to other universes makes me think of something talked about in the Three Bodies Problem books, specifically the Dark Forrest Hypothesis. It assumes that the universe is full of life, but all of it is hostile or potentially hostile. The idea is that remaining hidden from other planets, and refusing to communicate with earth avoids revealing themselves, and putting them in the crosshairs of a more advanced, more hostile civilization.
That's kinda what happened here. A reality far more advanced than ours detected us communicating with PW1, and, being a hostile universe, came to destroy us and them.
This is exactly what I thought of during that story as well
Wait theres three universes who was pw2?
@@GHOSTTIEFnigga, its out universe, the first universe we established contact with, and then the fucked up universe that jacked our shit, PW2 are the bad guys
Generally speaking im not a fan of analog horror because its just been over done so much recently, but i am a fan of cryptids and this series really did this right.
I don't mind because unlike Backrooms analog horror are always different from each other and I'm always glad to discover a new one.
I’m genuinely too much of a wuss to consume these series raw so I very much enjoy the “tour guide” approach of these summaries
I have lived in Anchorage my entire life, so I’ve never really got an idea of how vast Alaska really is until recently. We have a cabin north east of anchorage and during the winter we go snow machining. My dad has been doing this for years but I never went snow machining with him until last winter. We rode to Susitna Landing which really only exists because of the post office. The ride was about 30 miles if I remember correctly and it was a lot of fun to rip over frozen lakes (I think I hit 80mph at one point). But when you stop to take a look around you it’s entirely barren, especially when we took a less traveled trail at some point. All there is is some frail ever green trees scattered extremely sparsely with a light trail going as far as the eye can see. It’s eerie, you couldn’t hear or see any form of life, only what they have left behind. But then you are met with beauty and that dread goes away when the mist clears and you see Denali towering over the tree tops. And to think I only got the smallest percent of the true awe that is the tundra of Alaska. 10/10 would have a existential crisis again.
I’m honestly surprised that Alaska hasn’t been utilized in horror that much. Bleak, frigid cold landscape where there’s no civilization for miles? Perfect setting. Yet it seems the Midwest and the northern east coast seems to get all the attention
@@yamato6114 true detective rocked the whole vibe imo.
I cant be the only one who gets excited when he uploads
Heck yeah, my two favorites are anything by TIMESIX and Fascinating Horror
Ew
Yes! Yes! Yes! I’m so excited whenever Maverick Files gets a new video released! 😁
You're not alone . 😊
Ya gotta assume there's others right?
thank you for introducing me to this series, i watched it all immediately and fell in LOVE. the realization that all you have to do to invite the horrors in was a simple "Hello." the little girl in the bedroom, the man in the cave, the Hello? to the third universe... in all three cases, whatever was on the receiving side of that simple greeting learned their identity, approached, and then... something happened. it just hit me so hard during THE SIGNAL that made me realize the true depths of this interdimensional cosmic horror. it's AMAZING!!! personally i have a theory but my main prediction is that things might get like a mix of Mandela Catalog and Midwest Angelika real soon, and their editing skill and sound design has the potential to really make it HIT.
It's like in the appalachian mountains, you're not to answer if something calls you're name or tries to speak to you, you're not to whistle at night and you're not to look up into the trees otherwise entities might get you. Also they say dealing with faries can be the same you shouldn't speak to them unless you know what you're doing and you should never have a welcome mat or sign (or other welcoming fraises) as it can invite the faries or other entities into your house.
The first entity feels like fae esp with how it might try to trade with you or offer presents and the whole business with the symbol that represents their name
PW2 had all the rights to not help the first universe, like, bro. They came into contact with another universe, sent images of their world, and then proceed to get ghosted. I would be mad too. You slay PW2 💪😤.
I should wait till the end of the story to find out, but the guy falling from the sky looks like he’s already dead. He’s not waving his arms or legs around or trying to right his self into a feet-first position. He’s completely horizontal and not struggling.
Ian..... You live in eagle Wisconsin with your parents. Your sisters name starts with a B and she is super fat
I’ve never even heard of this analog horror series
I’d love it if you’d cover more lesser known series
Great vid
DOOD. Small horror channels like this need and deserve recognition! Maybe this could be a regular thing (not weekly, of course, maybe monthly?) Yt horror, especially amateur horror, needs more exposure, thanks for sharing this, legitimately made my skin crawl off my bones.
I love how analog horror has progressed but there’s something about a well done piece in the Local 58 and Channel 7 genre that really hits different
ive been binging ur old content so im glad to get new stuff here too 🔥
I just love the editing on this man :)) Just poped on my feed and I am happy it did. Not a lot of creators can make atmosphere be so chilly. Well executed 👏
the scream of the guy falling into the light of the cave is a royalty-free noise... male voice screaming loudly from freesound... i recognized it instantly
And the footage of the cave looks like old style computer graphics.
This is freaky and _wonderful._ Hadn't heard of this one before. Thanks for covering it!
Ive been so busy with life that i havent even had a chance to check for any new Mav videos for about 3 months. Like a kid on Christmas morning, i am elated to find 4 new videos that i have not watched yet. Today is a good day. Thank you Mav. Love the channel.
Stoked for a new video! One of my favorite creators by far
I LOVED THIS!! I love the way you packaged it and could listen to you cover more of them for hours! Do more pretty please!
I find it incredibly disheartening that this channel doesn’t have millions of subs yet, but I’m encouraged by the steady flow of growth.
You make my week with the spookiness that follows each upload
Wauw, amazing serie! Subscribed to their channel as well.
Always happy to see you post on either of the channels. ❤
This was really good. Very entertaining and imaginative.
I've never in my life been so stressed out over 2 lines and 3 dots.
PS: Am I the only one who misses the appearance of the theme song?????
Really enjoyed this video... thank you 😊
Thank you for making this
I'm not sure how I feel about analog horror. Reminds me of creepypasta.
It's trying to be scary with its heavy implications, but I usually end up feeling like there could have been more.
Check out Urban spook best analog horror

Always a treat ✨️
Nice, perfect timing for my walk.
more alaskan horror please, untapped market that.
not sure if you planned on covering it already, but the recent analog horror series, greylock, seems like something you would enjoy and id like to see you make a video on it.
Urban spook is da best
I searched for "greylock" and even though numerous search suggestions appear for it all I get is a "no results found" message. I'll check other places for it because now I am very intrigued.

It's just Local58 but frosty, but hell, he uploads so rarely there's room for another.
This is the first analog horror to scare me in a while, thank you for your service ❤
That was freaking awesome!!!
This was really good
Man I was listening while cleaning up. You said 100s of universes we can only assume are hostile begin communicating with our world….and with perfect timing it went straight into the matpat velveeta ad. Why is this alien universe yelling at us about cheese dip.

Oh hell yes, I was wondering when there will be another upload.
you know it’s gonna be a good night when he uploads
Two new long videos in one day on each channel? Hell yeah😭😭
Maverick Files, thank you for including the transcripts in the description box. 😊
It's not fake, it's fiction. Fake sort of implies that it's designed for people to believe it is real, which it isn't. It's designed to tell a good story.
Yes, I apologize honey. I’m old and don’t understand how the world works anymore 😂😂
I changed my comment because I could see it was coming off the wrong way.
Thank you for being nice about it! Sending a hug your way from Las Vegas ❤
@@SpOoOokyGhostp.s. I also want to thank you for the way you defined this form of art and entertainment. I’m a little ashamed of myself for not recognizing that since I’ve been a guitar player for my living for more than 35 years. Entertainment is the entire crux of my job! 😂
Learning is fun! Thank you
@@BucketHeadianHagg Don't worry about it, a lot of people see this kind of stuff (which is known as unfiction or alternate reality games) and don't realize that it isn't meant to be taken literally as truth - it's sort of like watching a movie in which everything that happens is only supposed to have happened in the movie. It just rubs me the wrong way when people (and not just you, a ton of people in the comments did the same thing) all just say fake!!! Like of course it's fake, it's like calling Harry Potter fake - it's not supposed to be true! People work really hard on creating these things and telling an entertaining story, and it just annoys me that people reduce what they get out of it to just saying "FAKE!!!!
@@SpOoOokyGhost you might be happy to know that I went back to the beginning of this channel and made a playlist so I can listen to everything again in the proper spirit this time, and suddenly Im really into it! I wanna use it to fall asleep to, but I’m getting too interested in the stories. I get what you mean about calling Harry Potter fake. That was a great parallel. And yes, the comment I made (and others who do) is really insulting to others. Ignorance is annoying!

I would love to see you cover more analog horror!
i stumbled across the analog horror a few weeks ago it good to see that Maverick files doing content on it. its not as scary as some but still good shit.
So good
You should totally cover the monument mythos!
Thank you Maverick for turning me on to some more shit-yer-pants Analogue Horror - a genre I love, particularly when it's a small creator on their own or little team. The "Hollywood" forays into this genre have generally been crap.
I played "Empty Towns" to my wife yesterday (she digs stuff like this, stuff like you see on NoSleep and those tales. I love them.
I think since Subscribing about a week or so ago, I've been checking out your content.
Sir, your videos are A1 top notch brilliant. You sound young (no slur - I DO remember being young!), but your presentation, your narration, your scripts, are professional grade. Your videos, editing, stock footage used nicely (warped, colour-reversed, chopped up) and easy on the eyes. It's the easy option to just hammer the stock stuff *as is* and then it loses individuality. You are getting everything right.
I wish you every success with your channel - may it grow and prosper and mature gracefully like a fine wine. You have talent and you are way beyond some more "professional" channels I could mention.
Well, this old fart has rambled on too long. Keep up the ace work, and good vibes and Blessings from a small island in Northern Europe 👍🏴👍
Check out Urban Spook
Damn, I really loved that first tape and my primary thought through its end segment was "don't do a stupid jumpscare, don't do a stupid jumpscare it doesn't need it, cutting it off is better" and then urgh, disappointment. It didn't need the eyes and hydrophone squeal. Now I'm already disillusioned and kinda uninterested in the rest of the tapes.
I guess I'll edit in any further thoughts after watching but guys. Please. Horror creators: jumpscares like that are so overdone and cheap. It didn't even work on me because I expected it, it just made me roll my eyes and lose 99% of my interest. Stop. The moment right beforehand with the movement in the bottom right corner was *perfect* and the feed could've cut out there, boom cool mystery and viewer imagination runs wild. Stop. Using. Jumpscares.
I love stories that leave you with that big question mark. You can decide what happens, really. That’s what makes it so fun.
I read that as underwear creature LOL
A little confusing to be honest, but the story was nice overall! Hope to hear more!
I hopped on this notification SO fast. Good to have you back MF let's go!

Aww yeah! Another Maverick Flies! Fly Maverick, FLY!

It's a great series! I'm glad you recommended it. But aren't you going to analyze the plot or speculate on the greater story? I'd love to see your take on what's happening, rather than just telling us what's happening on screen. What's your theory for the underwater creature, or how it connects to the other universe that intercepted the bridge to a parallel world?
It's nice to see AK get a little love! :D
Yoooo. Don't watch this when you're high.
Oh no!! I'm so high right now

Your documentaries are some of the best out there. Your voice us soothing, you build suspense while remaining respectful if true crime is involved, and you cover fascinating topics. I hope you cover more ARG and analog horror.
This is COOL!!

I miss the old intro! You should definitely bring it back
"Broadcasted" is not correct as either past or present tense. It is simply, *"Broadcast"*
I hear so many channels making the same mistake, nearly all US.

Spooky.
And this is why I keep a chunk of cold-wrought iron near my bed, just in case any fae try to mess with me when I'm trying to sleep.
It's also handy for normal interlopers too, but not for the same reason.
holy shit i’m in alaska right now trying to sleep and i just hear “there is something in alaska” genuinely scared the shit out of me
I always hate how there's so many analog horrors that revolves around video games or you but it isn't you, or a monster that just randomly appears with no reason. But this has a certain charm to it that I adore, I hope there'll be more of these parallel universe horror tales, because as theoretical is it may be, the idea of contacting a universe that is disgusting is more realistic due to actual modern science, I have my own fears of an unknown that we eventually want to learn, doing something we aren't suppose to do
THREE T6 videos in ONE week?? gee whiz this is gettin me giddy!
I find it so so so typical. Tbh it would be way more interesting if the distorted universe thing wasn't some evil thing sl much as a bizarre, distorted, but ultimately
Benevolent. Tbh the distortion= basis like, every fuckin analog series. Madela catalogue, liminal land, marble hornets. Like oh no. It's glitching. So scary. The idea of an alternate, clean, but deeply evil universe would be far more interesting
Now I have something to sleep to thank you 🙏 🎉
Hello Maverick I have been enjoying your videos so far Arcadia Tv is pretty scary. It gives me goosebumps in my spines. But anyways, how was your day?

It's close to criminal that the original creator sits on laughable 5k views with les than 4k subs while almost 220k people watched this video. This is quality stuff that should be seen by much more people.
