Texas rarely has their grid updated to handle a polar vortex, and the population of the state has increased dramatically since the last lethal catastrophe in Feb of 2021.

I have been tracking it, just for comedic reasons, either fb news is right, and they predicted one 20 days early, or they are wrong. Checking the weather this morning, looks like fb might take the win😂

The models I've seen from forecasters indicate the PV could make it to the Gulf. But you say it won't reach Texas or the US. Making a note of your forecast.

She is wrong. This polar vortex broke off into 2 polar vortex, and the 2nd one is the one crossing the US right now and dipping down into the southern states like Texas.

how is that working out for you now? Maybe not a vortex event but a lot of folks in northern Texas as well as around the country contending with sub-zero weather, snow, high winds, etc., would say it is pretty bad.
You haven't even seen the worst yet.
It would be nice to debunk the "Yellowstone is about to blow" which shows up on YT channels seeking clicks. I would go there to tell the tinfoil hat crowd that they're full of it, but my protest would be yet another click for that channel. Also, and I can't believe that these people do this, but several PBS channels in the Pacific Northwest have posted videos about the Cascadia Subduction Zone with alarmist titles to the videos, but when you listen, far into the video, they reveal that even though the threat is real, the likelihood of it happening today is 2%. 300 years from now, that likelihood will be 100%.
