  • Welcome to my 10-Day Iceland Ring Road Itinerary, where I'll take you day-by-day through all our incredible stops along Route 1.
After dreaming of visiting Iceland for ages, my partner and I finally made it a reality in June 2023, traveling 17,000 km from Australia.
Stepping onto the land I had only seen in my favourite sci-fi movies felt surreal!
This comprehensive Iceland Ring Road Itinerary aims to cut down your research time and help you make the most of your own Icelandic adventure.
Whether you’re planning your first trip or looking to revisit Iceland, our itinerary and tips will ensure you have an unforgettable experience.
    ABOUT THIS RING ROAD ITINERARY
    -----------------------------------------------------------
This itinerary is ideal if you plan to rent a standard campervan, as it avoids all F-Roads and is suitable for non-4WD vehicles.
Iceland’s Ring Road spans 1,322 km, but with at least 10 days, you can extend your trip to include destinations like the Golden Circle, Reykjanes Peninsula, Snaefellsnes Peninsula, or Húsavík, creating a 2,000 km loop.
Reflecting on our journey, I can confidently say that 10 days provided ample time to explore the main highlights of Iceland’s Ring Road.
However, as an enthusiast of day hikes and more in-depth exploration beyond typical tourist spots, I would add a few extra days to the itinerary if I had the chance to do it again.
This video was created with an intention to to help you to start planning your ultimate Iceland Road Trip! 🚐✨ #Iceland #RingRoad #Campervan #TravelGuide #RoadTrip #Adventure #icelandtravel #icelandtrip #icelandlove

With this extended daylight, you’ll have the flexibility to adjust your traveling pace according to your needs.

Thanks for watching and I'm glad it was informative.
I tried to keep the amount of 'fluff' to the minimum, otherwise it would end up being a very long video.
There are so many amazing places to stop along the Ring Road 🧊

This is a wonderful video you have shared. Very glad you enjoyed. Thank you so much for sharing this. My husband and I are planning to visit towards the end of June 2026 and gathering as much information as possible. We too have booked a camper van. It gives more freedom and is hotel and vehicle in one. Was this visit beginning or end of June?

It's really good that you guys plan ahead as Iceland is going to get busier year on year and good choice on the campervan 👌
We started the trip right at the beginning of June, so Landmannalaugar F-Roads were still closed, hence we booked 2WD camper, not something like Suzuki Jimny or similar. What camper are you guys getting?

When was your trip? Will it be cold in September?

    • @PavoTreks
      @PavoTreks  Před 13 dny +1

At the beginning of the June. September is only slightly colder than June, but it won't be as busy as July and August, so it all depends on your travel priorities
