- Hello Everyone !!!
please check my new channel called Freddy's Reviews

Today I am with you with a brand new video. In this video, I will give a review for Ferris Z1 48" Soft Ride Stand On a Good Mower. The SRS™ Z1 offers all of the same great productivity and comfort as the larger SRS Z2, but in a more compact package. With smaller mowing deck options, the Z1 is optimal for navigating through tight gates or loading on smaller trailers. True to the Soft Ride Stand-on (SRS) series, the adjustable operator platform on the Z1, features suspension technology, offering operator comfort and performance.
The Z1 48" Soft Ride is a powerful mower and is Residential mowing approved by my mow team.
Hope this video will help you to know more details about Ferris Z1 48".

I have an issue with your issues. first the key switch is protected from branches and mistakenly hitting by the operator- you only reach for the switch twice per lawn so no biggie. secondly, the gas gauge is recessed to keep it out of the sun. every mower I have looked at- when the gage is in the sun- if the machine is 6 months old- you cannot read the gauge at all. my z2's are 2 yrs old and the gauges are as clear as on day one. I have nothing bad to say about either of mine. everything has trade offs. thanks for the reviews. still gave it a thumbs up.
Thanks yeah it’s a great mower.
Most comfortable mowers on the market! I have a z2 52" and also a z3x 61"! Awesome mowers!
Yeah I actually fell in love with the 48”
Any issues with the 52"?
@Keep It Mowed I did have my left hydrogear blow out just over the warranty period. Luckily Ferris stood behind it and covered the part and my dealer covered the labor cost and took care of me.
i am looking at a 36" good to hear about comfort but what about cut quality and durability?
I love these mowers. I think I'm going to buy the 36".
If the worst people can say about it is that the gas gauge is hard to read, then it must be awesome.
I just got the 36, great mower. I got the Accelerator grass catcher but you have to alter the bracket a little bit to make your deflector shoot go all the way down, just a simple notch. Also they give you two holes to choose when putting the deflector in. I chose to drill a new hole between them somewhat encroaching on one of the holes but it’s not a big deal and fit perfect. I also had to cut out a piece of the metal to get full flow out of the accelerator shoot as they give it to you with a patch on it for some reason. The only thing I didn’t like about the accelerator is it doesn’t have a design when you hit something it just pops off, it would end up damaging the catcher. So don’t hit anything lol …I think I would go with the Vanguard because it has more horsepower. Don’t get me wrong Kawasaki is great, but I have a vanguard on my leaf loader and it is well built strong and reliable
Yea this thing is bullet proof especially with the vanguard on it which is way more power than it needs, a buddy of mine has the vride2 36” and it looks like a kids toy 🧸 beside my z1, the back tires are like double big as the skag and the skag comes wit a 19hp
did you ever buy one and if so how you like it> i may get one soon
Ferris is a briggs and stratton company, like snapper. That is same mower as snapper ss100 , plus top speed is actually around 8mph not 5. They are an awesome machine. Ive been running a snapper and ferris for years.
Sounds good my specs that I mentioned and the actual mower came directly from the regional Farris rep.
I have to say my z2 52 has been a great mower. But my cub cadet is alot more comfortable. Than my ferris or my Scag v ride 52 also a great mower. But my new go to is the cub. They all cut great and are great.
Got the 36 it's a beast with 23 hp
I'm going to look at one of these this evening
I have this mower great machine!
Excellent review, very complete. 👍
Can't wait to try it
For you Ferris guys. I have a Ferris Z1 48”. Very hilly yard that the Ferris does but I’d love to have just a little more traction. Would anyone think dually wheels could be added (keep in mind this unit is only used 1 hour a week at most). Kawasaki engine.
….Or should I get more aggressive tires? I think 23x 10.50-12(off top of my head). Any recommendations for tires?
I got the Z1 48 good mower , Mulcher isn't worth a crap !
Mulcher isn't any good? I was going to order mine with the Mulcher kit.
you will find that thicker leaves dont get mulched even with multiple passes @@Jon_Drew
Sweet!!!
I have one of these. They’re alright for the money. I have several issues with them but for the money I think it’s hard to compare to anything else. Mine has 1000hrs and now we use it as a backup mower only. Prefer exmark staris.
may I ask what the issues were?
@@KF1 hydros kept leaking a lot. They ended up replacing both sides
Where the cup holder for beer? And the air conditioner?
Hey Freddie(or Anyone), I'm about to be left as a solo operator, not by choice. Any advise?
Make sure your customer service is good and just have fun!
How does it stack up against a 48-inch Scag?
Nothing beats the Velocity deck for cool season grass!
how is this holding up? i am looking at a 36"
It’s a great mower
5mph? I thought as well the back wheels were wheelie bars .if you flip..woooowooooo weeee
actually those are wheelie wheels. if you are going up a steep incline and the front comes up you DO NOT want the drivers platform to dig in and the machine come over the top on you. that would definitely hurt. when going up or down a curb I always go at an angle- never hit the wheelie wheels yet.
👍
Lol 5 mph? My 36” vanguard does like 35mph it feels like there’s no way, it’s got 3400 hydros mane 😂, it’s more like 8-10mph honestly. My box store cub cadet I used to have did 7 and it was like 1200 hydros lol. Love these mowers tho they play zero games if you mow all day everyday.
My dealer is charging over $10k for that mower now...
The only thing completely annoying about this mower is when you’re going over a bumpy shitty lawn it sounds like your blades are warped.
48 ride on vs 48 walk behind. whick leaves a nicer job and cut? i say walk behind
Depends on the operator
I tried to like the Z1. The platform is just to narrow for my liking.
Yeah I can see that.
@@LawnThumbs it's only about 12" wide.👎🏽
Yeah super narrow, I thought it was because it was a 36 inch, after getting off my wright 48 I felt like my legs were tied together
@@doejon6821 Yep, exactly. My Toro Grandstand is waaayyyy more comfortable!
