@@notasandwich19 I always try an inexpensive lipstick in a color I would like to try that way I’m not out the money on a high ticket one. Then if you love it you can shade match in a better formula. I think maybelline makes great lip products that are afforadable. You might start with them 🤷🏻♀️

Use Aquafor! (Not the lip one, just the normal one). Jessica Braun is obsessed with it, and I tried it because of her, and am never going to go back! It makes your lips so soft!
It is like you read my mind for a video I need. I never used to wear lip liners but in recent months have noticed they do make a difference.
Aquaphor lip repair balm is seriously my go to when I have dry/chapped lips. It works immediately and is so affordable!! Also it’s odorless/flavorless which I appreciate.

Also, I really appreciate that you keep the rest of your makeup fairly neutral when doing lip swatches, there are other videos I've seen where I literally have to cover the top half of the person's face because they've done a very colorful eye look that clashes with the lip products being swatched! I totally agree with you Allie, and love how the “lip” just brings an entire look together. Even though my skin tone is on the warmer side and I tend to wear more reds and corals, your videos have helped me to explore the more nude shades and I can’t get enough of CT Iconic nude. I also use the Jouer essential lip enhancer conditioning lip treatment most nights and it works very well for me. It comes in a little tube and in many flavors. My fave is vanilla!

I’m a lip liner fanatic to, and I’m so happy we have many preferences in common. My lips reacts quite good to the Body lip balm or the essence lip gloss which you been talking about for so many times. 😘
I have loved the jack black lip balms for several years. They have sun protection but don’t have an off-putting taste. They come in several subtle flavors and they feel so smooth and nourishing. I like to get them in sets around the holidays.

It really has saved my poor lips! I have intense dry lips due to medications, and always trying to hydrate, hydrate and hydrate some more hehe. Glad to see someone else loves Laneige lip mask. 💋

Hi Allie! For overnight lip care I can't recommend Aquaphor enough! I have dry lips and have tried so many things and this just works the best. I do like the laneige lip mask during the day for it's pretty pink glow ✨

We share A LOT of the same favorites! I think my favorite lip liner combo is CT Pillow Talk and Lime Crime Taupest (unfortunately no longer sold 😭) but I do like it to use NYX Nude Beige to outline and contour the lips and then fill in the rest of the lips with Pillow Talk! I also LOVE NYX Mauve!

Hi Ally! Thank you for the video. I've always been obsessed with lip liners, too! My favorite lip liners have been MAC Oak and Stripdown as well as Spice through the years. I actually just got Iconic Nude and I haven't used it yet, but everyone seems to love that one. There was also a really long nude pencil Liner in one of the Boxycharm boxes a while back that I reach for. I keep getting recommendations for NYX, so I'm going to try those next. When I struggled with really dry, chapped lips, the medicated blistex chapstick (the dark blue one) worked best for me.
I love nyx lip and eyeliners. I love essences lip liners (the wooden pencil ones) too!
Nyx takes the cake for sure! They are def among my top faves! I recently started using the Milani Rose Butter and it is fantastic!!! Super buttery and makes my lips so soft. I apply every night before bed!!! Does not disappoint!!! Oh and I think the Lash Paradise does something magical to your lashes!!! Good stuff! Thanks Allie!

My go to lip treatment is No7 protect and perfect lip care (a bit like a moisturiser for lips) topped with Versed silk slip conditioning lip oil. Always heals my lips if they’re cracking. Hope yours are better soon ❤️

i’m not super into liner, but the pillow talk liner really blew me away with how wonderfully it glides on. definitely recommend even though it’s on the higher end of pricing.

Iconic nude is my HOLY GRAIL. I never get sick of it, it still makes me giddy. Another lip liner that got HG status for me was BFF2 from colourpop and foxy brown from Charlotte Tilbury. Loved this video Allie! Also obsessed with lip liners lol best step in makeup!!!!
I love using lipliners but I always use drugstore ones… idk I don’t feel like spending 23€ on a lip liner😕. I can recommend the lipliners by Catrice as well, they have a dupe for the Charlotte tilbury pillow talk liner.
The Honey Jarret lemon honey lip sleeping mask is AMAZING!!! My lips tend to be very dry, and this has helped so much!
I also own the Laneige lip sleeping mask and love it…BUT…I actually like the Honey Jarret one more! It’s thicker and seems to last longer on my lips! Super effective!!!
Another product I love (in a slightly different category lol) is the Elf cookies ‘n dreams lip exfoliant….the combo makes my lips soft as butter:)!

This is the video I didn't know I needed - I never use lip liner because I'm usually disappointed with the colors. These swatches are great references and I really appreciate that you included products at different price points. For lip balm, I prefer very stiff, waxy formulas because they stay put so well - things like Aquaphor slip off my lips in minutes. My HG for years has been Weleda Everon balm. It's waxy, very moisturizing, and has a soft rose scent.
Too faced hangover pillow balm is magical!!
You HAVE to try the LA girl perfect precision liners! I just recently tried them and I was amazed at how good they were for such an affordable price! I recommend cafe, sugar and spice, bare, and flesh. So good and such hidden gem at Ulta, I’ve literally never heard anybody talk about them

I've used Elizabeth Arden's 8 hour cream, the original skin protectant, on my lips at night for many many years. It may be pricey, but it's a 50ml tube so will last for ages. I have all the NYX lip liners you mentioned, plus a few more. The colours are wonderfully neutral and they're so easy to use. Definitely couldn't be without them.
Kiehls lip balm #1 is great. Feels so silky and lasts so long. Also their buttermask for lips is my favorite. Its an over night mask but i also use it during the day. It makes my lips feel so good and last for hrs. Its my go to when my lips are dry.

I LOVE LIP LINERS! I don’t know why but I collect them like they’re candy and I can’t get enough. For me Anastasia deep taupe is LEGENDARY! I have never tried a lip liner that comes even close. Although my second favorite are from nyx.

Cool tones are my go to… Gone Greige - Maybelline is a go to for a medium liner. Nudist - Melt is a fav for light looks. Tootsie - Colorpop, discontinued.. I’d love to find a good dupe. Stone - MAC, I love this liner for deeper looks, it pairs well w lighter lipsticks too.

Laneige lip mask is one of my favorite and works perfectly every time. I had super dry lips in the past but maybe around 2017 I guess I started using laneige I no longer have dry lips and still now I love them ❤️

You're giving me a great idea on wich nude lip sticks may suit me because were similar skin tones I think I'm a bit more yellow undertoned .
I really love the BK Beauty lipliner in Sweetpea-the formula is so moisturizing for a liner, so I feel I can fill in my lips with it and use it alone, or use it under a lip shade or gloss with a similar color-it feels so glamorous on me when I use it, because I don’t use lipliner on a regular basis.

Oh, I just remembered: I don’t know if you are part of Dominique Sachse’s channel, but I remember her saying that she used a specific type of nipple cream (for when you are breastfeeding) for her lips for overnight conditioning; the name is Lansinoh, and I think you can definitely find it on Amazon, and maybe at the drugstores or even Whole Foods. I mentioned it to my daughter in law who just had our first Grand-Minion 😂 and she swears by it!

I love lipliners too, Allie! NYX does such a great job - I love Nude Suede Shoes, Nude Beige, and Peekaboo Neutral! I know so many love CT's PillowTalk, but it's Iconic Nude for me all the way! I also LOVE MAC Subculture and Pat McGrath DoneUndone and UD's Naked lipliner - all of the aforementioned are my go to's. IT Cosmetics had another favorite and it lasted ALL DAY - Buff Nude! So bummed they discontinued. I have yet to find a dupe for that. Thank you for this great video! xo
A lip liner really does make such a difference, I don't wear them enough, but I really notice the difference when I pair a lip liner with my lipstick, and the lipstick really does last longer I think throughout the day and just looks more put together and like a complete makeup look!
