It’s always a good idea to cut a few extra cm / inches, in case your tension is looser, or you are using a slightly thicker rope.

I think the best way would be to make the macrame slightly larger than your intended pillow size and then sew it into a pillow (with a backing as otherwise you'd have very large gaps). WOW!!! This really was easy but that's because of the way you showed us which cords to use next. I used 3mm cord cuz that was all I had and I cut enough to make 3 patterns instead of the two and had enough left over to hang down. Awesome tutorial Lanaa!!!
