out of curiosity, will it make the metal sheet thinner while it goes through the roller back and forth ?

I was curious about that two, but you’re not compressing the metal, therefore you’re not stretching it. If you clamp down to the point whereby you’re compressing and rolling, then yes, I’d expect the metal to stretch.
