    24:19 There's a new option in An 21 that lets you create a symbol on stage without cutting and pasting layers. Right click > Convert Layers to Symbol, it's as easy as pre-comping in After Effects now.

    I've been wanting to get into animating for a while now, and even though this was still 3 years ago, it is still relevant and really helpful. In the final product I wanted to change it up a bit by making the guy in the back do a walk cycle. that was a fun challenge and thank TipTut for leading the way.

    I don't know if it is a new feature, but you can actually use "blend" and "filters" in the graphics. Those options are in "Frame", not "Object" as they are in the movie clips. If you select the layer it's gonna affect all the graphics you might have in the same layer, but if you select one of the graphics by selecting its keyframe it's going to affect only that one graphic.
    I'm still learning so maybe there's a specific reason that it works in my computer, but maybe it will be a useful information for someone.

    does anyone know if theres a tutorial that includes how to manipulate symbols when they haven't been drawn using adobe animate, Ive scanned in some drawings of mine however am struggling to manipulate them other than the simple, squash and stretch. Things as simple as erasing sections of the drawing I cant seem to figure out? xx

    • @TipTut
      @TipTut  Před 3 lety

      Your imported drawings are raster based and Adobe Animate is a vector software, as such there's limited options to work with them. Look into 'vectorise image' options. If you google that + adobe animate you'll come up with a lot of stuff.

    Not sure if this is possible but I'm doing an animation for my class, I've decided to do a little astronaut floating around, then after a certain point, a dragon floats in and eats him haha😅 I've used tweening to create the motion of the floating astronaut as well as the dragon sort of slithering in, because it's a lot smoother and faster than doing frame by frame. But now, my plan was to have the astronaut turn slightly, and react to the dragon being there, the dragon roaring, and then of course the action of eating him, but I've run into the problem that it doesn't seem like I'm able to animate much the way I need to if want to continue using tweening for the motion. I've tried going into the symbols I've created to do frame by frame in there, as I thought if I matched it up with the timeline of the project outside of the symbol, I could change any motion I need in there and almost make a second animation within the animation. which worked for a moment, except that it stops after 155 frames and nothing shows up past that? Do you know if any way to fix this? Or a simpler way to go about doing it?

I am trying to tween a circle into a triangle to practice but for some reason to classic tween won't work between my two keyframes.
