Arizona cracking down on fake rehab centers targeting Native Americans

- State and federal authorities say scammers are luring vulnerable Native Americans into fake rehab centers in Arizona and then billing Medicaid for millions in fraudulent claims. Officials say the illicit businesses promise treatment but some seeking help check in and end up missing, assaulted or even dead. NBC News' Valerie Castro reports.

It’s f***ing disgusting what these fraudsters are doing! Send them to jail!
It's not only native Americans. The whole medical machine is corrupt.
People are upset with the fake rehab facilities, but is anyone upset with the medicaid system in Arizona for approving them? Is anyone asking "how do we fix this?"
People are despicable.
We have Blackfeet Tribal Member’s down there, and we are a Montana Tribe. Our own had to go down and look for their children. These young adults are taken to bogus treatment centers.
My heart hurts for these people and their families. Randomly picking up people to just drive off with... How do we know they're all going to the places told?
@@user-ey5kw5xb4e When this Started, like the very 1st group that went to AZ, family could not contact them for awhile. Some were found on the streets through Tik Tok videos & such. Our Treatment Center still sent our people to AZ, even after what happened to the 1st group.
What they need is an active auditor (s) investigating these facilities in person and finding out what's really going on. Not based on an allegation but based on inspection of proof of facility. And second all new providers need to be approved after a a full inspection and approval first before they can except government money.
A “ donation “ to elected officials takes care of it
They should investigate a rehab facility like this in manistee Michigan that opened a little over a decade ago targeting primary tribal affiliated people and only a few miles from the reservation.
In Wisconsin they had my kid a few years and kept bad mouthing him to the court unfairly. They go for anyone on SSI or tribal payments. He was over fed, exploding in weight, and would have died from being fat if he stayed there.

This is terrible what kind of ppl do this? That said; That was a tiny warning. It’s an advertisement for the Native Health Clinic which is fine. But call it what it is a clear advertisement.
I saw a young black couple recruiting homeless female addicts at Flagstaff AZ Walmart parking lot. It felt very shady. You could tell were paying the mortgage by way of these people.

This should have gone to the FBI years ago when the tribes went to the state to investigate. People have died, many are missing. This is a very serious targeting of indigenous people.
Why are they not building and letting them work

Instead of just saying you belong to a religion why don't you practice daily prayer? Worship the LORD GOD everyday, pray everyday, even if it's only once a day. It will help you 🙏🙏🙏🙏
