As a Cincy fan who is now conditioned to hate anything UCF, I agree. Their war chant is also pretty good.

Where did that saying come from? I hear it all the time and was just curious how it started?
Rock refers to Mount Oread where Kansas University was located. Chalk refers to the gypsum that is very common in the area. Jayhawk is the mascot and mythical bird (also, during the Civil War there was a federal regiment that went by the fightin' Jayhawkers which Confederates in Missouri used to call Kansans).
KU should be self explanatory.

One thing to Remember is that UofA (University of Arizona) plays Bear Down Arizona when the Arizona Wildcats Score a Touchdown in Football and when the band makes their Entrance in Basketball. You got ASU Right. I'm impressed. GO DEVILS!!!! FORKS UP!!!

Never really listened to most of these. With so much of the college football landscape changing, fight songs still feel like a timeless connection to what makes college football special. I liked Houston's, TCU's, and West Virginia's in particular. Utah's is lame.
well utah's is missing the classic "let's go utah" cheer after it. also this video doesn't get the lyrics across well (for any of the songs) which is a shame cause nothing matches the feeling of the whole stadium shouting out ki yai, muss, and go utes. but if oyu don't like it you're going to have to get used to it cause, there's a reason pac-12 teams don't make it to the championship. 5-7 competitve teams and conference canibalism.
Arizona- good, sounds like a circus. Arizona State-written by the devil himself. Baylor- not very inspiring. BYU- I need to let it soak in. OK. Colorado- She'll be coming round the mountian? UCF- Biased, but you can tell it is much newer than the others. good. Cincy- circus performers, but i will say the chant is good... Houston- pretty good. Upbeat, but not chaotic like AZ st. Iowa St.- cool, sounds like a cavalry charge. Kansas- sounds like a silent movie soundtrack. Kansas St.- pretty good, sounds like a military branch. OSU- another trapeze performance, ok.chant is good. TCU- pretty damn good. Texas Tech- Jesus, do not wear headphones while listening to this! Utah- ok WV- second part is good. Just my humble first impressions...
Colorado’s certainly is not the melody of “she’ll be comin round the mountain.” It does match other popular songs, namely “glory glory hallelujah”

IS - 4 A Parade Meredith Wilson would be proud of.
KU - 3 Old timey and repetitive. Probably a lot of fun to sing along with tho.
KSU - 3.5 kinda standard stuff
OSU - 4.5 I actually hate it but it is most unique
TCU - 4 more circus noise
TT - 5 Now THAT would make me jump out of my seat! (No I’m not a RR fan)
UU - 2.5 every cringey motif mixed into one March song.
WV - 3.5 fun
Just wait till you hear the pre Utah man stuff when you ride the trax to Rice Eccles when you come to visit. That or just listen to them play it before they play Utah man in pregame. Also nothing beats the whole stadium cheering "GO UTES!"

College football and basketball need to unionize. They need to work out a revenue sharing agreement. A certain % of the TV, ticket sale and merch sales should go to each team. Then set a min and max pay scale. Then the GM and head coach sign players based on their budget. The labor of player should be made their market value. My labor should barely benefit me, but fund all these other sports programs.
Also require the student to take 8 credit fall & spring. 3 hours during the summer. The player pay instate tuition. End scholarship by giving paychecks.
People demand equal pay and benefits. Every team would get an equal share of the money that their team earned. They don't have a right to the fruit of someone else's labor.
Honestly, I’m just glad we are getting rid of Boomer Sooner after every two yard gain.

Lots of good fight songs in this group! I've always loved Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech and U of H, but Utah is beginning to grow on me, and so is Okie St.
Don't care too much for UCF, or WV. Arizona and ASU are both pretty good, but not among the best

Colorado and Arizona fights songs aren’t right. Colorado is “Fight CU” and Arizona usually does “Bear Down Arizona”
Fight CU is included in the second half after glory colorado. Bear Down Arizona is their unofficial fight song. Their official song is "Fight wildcats fight"
We sing Bear Down Arizona more, but Fight Wildcats Fight is our official fight song.

Regardless of their additions the BIG12 is still very much a second-Tier college football conference in comparison to the two top tier SEC and BIG10 conferences. The Big 12 only added schools the SEC and BIG10 did not want at least at the moment. Best believe if anyone of the BIG12 schools were invited to the SEC or BIG10 they would leave in a heartbeat. I believe eventually the SEC and BIG12 will continue to expand leaving the BIG12 more irrelevant than it already is in the largest money-making sport. TCU last year in the championship game proved how weak the BIG12 really is in football.
No they we’re just playing against a very good Georgia team. You seem to forget TCU beat Michigan and Michigan beat OSU.
The championship game was an anomaly. Yes Georgia’s the better team but play 9 more times you’ll get much more respectable scores. Y’all always conveniently forget TCU bullied Oklahoma, Texas, and Michigan teams stacked with 5 star talent too.

Rutgers, Maryland, Purdue, Northwestern, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, South Carolina, Mississippi, Miss State appreciate the $20m subsidy from their betters and promise to continue padding the records within these top heavy conferences. I seldom watch more than the big highlight games where the heavy weights compete.
The Big 12 doesn’t have the heavy weights but their games are more competitive and fun to watch week in and week out. Beside Texas Tech owns the state of Mississippi.
