    I grew up there in the 50s and 60s. Great childhood. My dad helped build The Zoo and Mayfair Shopping center.

    This highlights a lot of the east side and central tosa but doesn’t do a fantastic job of also showing off the west side. You mentioned earlier in the video how if you wanted a bigger yard tosa may not be best for you. However the west side of tosa has some very nice property’s with larger yards, mine and my neighborhood included.

    I love the German accents in architecture in Milwaukee. I visited this summer, finding a place for my professional son's new job. He settled for Wauwatosa.

    Show the western side of Wauwatosa as well from 92 to 124 st- those houses are beautiful

      @MarcusMKE  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Yes! That is a younger part of Tosa that was built 40-50 years later with a lot of mid-century ranches and easy access into Brookfield and Tosa shopping!

    I live in an apartment on a Milwaukee Street in the Wauwatosa area. This is near the Wisconsin Lutheran College and medical complexes. The Highway 100 (Mayfair) and State Street areas are rather nice for shopping. If you want a newer apartment like in The Aspire or State Street Station, it will be at least $1,500-$2,000 starting for a 1-bedroom. Older apartments may be at about half that rate. The term "Mayfair" as in Mayfair Mall is named for a wealthy residential and commercial district in London, England. I agree with most of the assessments in this video. There have been some social issues related to police shootings and the Wauwatosa Police Department, but for the most part, I think this is a good place for people to raise a family if they can afford it.

      Thanks Jeff! I appreciate your perspective and local insights! Those rents are very high, the Mayfair reserve is another 5 star apartment building there - they offer a lot of included amenities and the facilities are really nice, but they sure make you pay for it! That is pretty much a house payment for an average Tosa home!

      Why wouldn't you check the suburbs? Even though Wauwatosa is beautiful, it borders on not the best areas....

    • @MarcusMKE
      @MarcusMKE  Před 3 lety +1

      El Rafa'S - I will probably make a downtown video, but usually I don't show too much of the inside of properties out of respect for the owners privacy - current and future. But what I can do is send you some curated listings to take a look at: email me at m.auerbach@kw.com

      @@MauiTheBengalCat Maybe they don't want to live in the very racist and segregated suburbs. That's exactly how it is. This is from someone who lives in between Milwaukew and Wauwatosa. Extremely segregated place. Hispanics on the south, whites on the east... Sad

    Wauwatosa has gotten a bad rap the past year+ due to some social issues.
    Those were isolated incidents and not indicative of this incredible city.

    • @MarcusMKE
      @MarcusMKE  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks Jimmylegs - it's still an urban setting and every city experiences stuff like that. I always try to be objective, that's why I brought in some comments and data on crime, but it's not always easy to be spot on; also depends on your point of view I guess. Appreciate your comment!

    Tosa is definitely amazing, and very charming, but is also becoming more and more left leaning, so bear that in mind. BLM, et al, have held rallies here too.

    • @ems3832
