Well, heck.. I got a harmless chuckle out of the flip flop flattening too.. but , hey, only because here we're always over equipped to do the same job. When we upgraded our driveway we sprayed weldbond (a strong waterproof white glue) and water mixture all over the gravel to keep it in place, just as these guys did. We also have access to that dry ashphaly mix, and I know it works a lot quicker, and as long as the gravel is properly bonded it doesn't bleed out of the sides. However, my folks went with the hot blacktop,, which I don't know ever really set, as even after 10 years the liquid asphalt still oozed out of a hole in the top every summer, even on temperate days...

I'm an engineer and work extensively throughout the asiatic, they wear flip flops as we call them in the west, that is all they wear. I am the ONLY person who wears work boots, these same people sleep at work because hey have no way home, so they sleep on tables, under machines, desks, anywhere they will fit. I can't believe people are so ignorant to think that those workers in India should be wearing work boots, so you had to make a NEW video just for stupid as western people to stop making dumb comments. Funny story, at 115 degrees I couldn't take the heat anymore one day, so because I was not doing any heavy rigging that day, only working with high voltage I put on shorts and bought me some flip flops. (I never wear shorts or sandals, only jeans and cowboy boots... but I was dying.) I walked out of the office, into the factory, within 3 minutes I clipped a pallet, peeled my toe nail back... hobbled back to the office, put my jeans and boots back on after taping my nail down. (I didn't do that again.) Those guys that's all the wear, flip flops, its NORMAL.

I myself had an accident when my two wheeler hit a pothole. This filling of this pothole was done for free and we filled around 4 potholes in that area on that day. My local Council "Wollondilly Shire Council New South Wales Australia" has a" much better way" You buy a very expensive truck that has hot bitumen and gravel in compartments in the rear, you employ a driver and another employee in an escort vehicle. The very expensive truck drives down the road blowing the bitumen and gravel into potholes. This is brilliant until all the gravel comes to the surface after traffic use and just some bitumen is left in the hole. Next step when it does eventually rain , the bitumen gets washed out and the hole gets bigger. We do not have the luxury of an asphalt road. They roll road base (crushed sandstone and sand) flat and then spay seal and roll fine gravel ( blue metal, a very hard local stone) into the surface . Probably a fifth the cost of hot-mix (Asphalt) But we do have the highest Council Tax in Australia "Bonus"

Good repair if they had squared up and deepened the hole along the interior edges. Gotta have a 90' joint to the existing pavement, or even undercut a bit... Then with a small pad compactor, a fine repair. The spray can of oil is just a scam though.

The guy with the compactor was much too gentle. You need to hit the ground hard to compact it. But, the traffic will compact it eventually I guess. And another pothole forms lol.
