True, but I think anyone who sees that thing while walking to their car would be so completely freaked out (and probably fixated on its face) that they wouldn't even see the human legs. Plus the human legs might be the only thing that keeps someone from shooting at it (that might not be a real threat in the UK, but try this prank in Texas....)

This is the quality that NEEDS to be at Universal Studios. The puppeteer’s legs can be easily hidden by the foliage during the photo-op.
You could actually green screen the legs. Using green screen leggings the whole of the legs could be removed. It’s actually how they moved bb8 around, he was essentially a green screened man pushing around the prop on a dolly.
What about Disney or WB? If they find this would they be in movies or shows?

I think the overall appearance of the costume makes up for the wearer’s legs sticking out. When people look at this thing, they mainly look at the upper half anyway.

Real Velociraptors only grow up to about 1 foot 6 inches tall and have feathers on every part of their body except the mouth and feet.

I don't know if I'd say 'life like', we know some dinosaurs may have acted like birds but we can't know for sure how they would've moved or if they would've been able to move so fluidly, after all, an animal of this size would weigh like half a ton lol
I've always wondered why they haven't used such beautiful costumes combined with CGI in the recent Jurassic World movies. Dinos would have looked way better

That costume is very cleverly designed, everything from the perfectly coupled joints, the body and tail movements, the head sways realistically with working jaws and even the eyes move and blink!

I don't think the human legs are the first thing people look at when they see it. I think the first thing people look at is the face and teeth of the fake animal and they don't concentrate on the legs.

For all of you pointing out the fact that it has someone inside it, if you were faced with a situation like the film the last thing your gonna be looking at is if it has a human inside it. Your fight or flight instincts will kick in, and you'll be putting as much distance as you can between you and it. Good job guys. Nearly had a code yellow here myself I was laughing so hard :)
My suggestion for the legs is that you could put something like maybe vines on the dinosaur’s back that stretches to his feet so that way the vines could block the operator’s actual leg or something like that, if you guys do have a better suggestion of course.

Then just call it a utahraptor or dakotaraptor. The only reason the world knows the JP raptors as Velociraptors was simply cause the author of the novel and the people who made the movies felt the name was a better choice. Given that the movie takes place in a world with living cloned dinosaurs you can make the case that the Velociraptors in JP and JW are indeed the Dakotaraptors given that the real Dakota Raptor wasn't found until around 2017.
