- Out bushcrafting and camping in the snow. Had this idea to cook up a Swedish Christmas feast in the wild. I must say Im surprised the outcome was just as good as in my kitchen, if you look at the minimal ingredients I brought with me. Of course everything tastes better in the woods they say, personally I don't think so, when you are out each and every week it gets mundane, it usually tastes great because out in the wild I struggle more and get really hungry. For the first time in years I packed my biggest bag without holding back.. and it resulted in 32 KG on my back. Didn't walk many km but Im not doing that again soon. Turns the experience walking into a nightmare. (yes I know about the sleds so you don't have to remind me, I just don't like them, because the terrain where Im at is horrible). Thanks for watching and all the support in 2021. Can't believe the simple carving of a fork filmed on a shaky phone would lead to half a million subs 4 years later. See you guys in 2022! That was an incredible display of cooking and preparation. The meal looked wonderful, I was particularly impressed by the baked fish / potato dish. I have watched quite a lot of all kind of bushcraft, hiking etc. on youtube. And this channel is by far somehow most relaxing to watch and even inspiring. Watching this and learning from him make me want to try also, maybe I will like it a lot.
A camp near the lake brings an extra atmosphere, especially in summer.

What a great setup, the third Lavuu half makes a great vestibule for food prep and stopping rain or snow entering the main Lavuu.

The meal looked delicious. I have to agree with you. I've never been certain food is actually better in the wilds, but the appetite worked up sure makes it pretty tasty. I had to convert your 32KG pack to pounds. Damn!! That was a 70 pound ruck. I haven't carried a load like that on my back since I was in the military. And that's been a few years---1969-1973. Your channel has done great in a relatively short span of time. Congratulations! You know, I carved my first fork from watching your "shaky phone". I'm still striving for that "perfect" carving. Will it happen? Once again, congratulations on a fantastic channel. Something you said on your channel description I have always liked. You must get some weird questions. You said something to the affect, "no, I'm not afraid in the wild, I'm more afraid in big cities". Man I can relate to that. The only time I ever feel alone is when I'm in a room full of people. Feast for a King, wow! Of course you're the King of CZcams videos so naturally...Incredible! As for the 32 kg pack weight...5000 Ultralight backpackers died while watching this video LOL.
