    3. A frame imposes it's character on to the image - Our PhotoMount shows off your image without altering the message conveyed by your composition!

If you don't see the size / format that you require for your production prints - let us know, we can make them for you, so long as you need them as a regular requirement (delivery for special orders is usually 4 weeks airfreight 8 weeks sea freight)
    Note on the video:
John insists on using the best snap-off knife he can get his hands on (in this case a professional series Stanley knife) and always uses a new blade (snap off a new blade for every new mounting job)
    - use a cutting mat, it extends the life of your blades, and guides the blade edge accurately tight to the mounting board edge, giving that all-important crisp square-cut edge to your trimmed print.
He says that if you have any questions about technique / speed / costs - give him a ring directly on +44(0) 1825 764 057 between 9 - 5 GMT - his e-mail skills are limited!

I am getting lots of questions - Let me give you a list of FAQs with answers:-
    1. How robust is the edge? - Imagine a 1mm hard plastic strip bonded to all four sides of your block. If you try to push your nail into it, the edge does not give at all.
    2. If I drop the PhotoMount block on the floor, will it ding the edge? - The honest answer is yes, if you are unlucky enough to drop it on to a hard edge, like the corner of a table, but dropping on to carpet , probably not.
    3. What are the front and back faces made of? - Approximately 3mm thick MDF
    4. And the inner core? - High-density polystyrene foam
    5. Can I get larger sizes? - Yes, these composite boards are manufactured and finished in China, so specials can be ordered in quantity, but allow 8 weeks delivery if sea freight delivery (cheaper) or 4 weeks if airfreight (around double the shipping cost) Standard sizes are priced ex-works UK
    6. In that case, what is your normal UK shipping charge? - £5.50 + VAT per order (whatever size your order, you only pay one shipping charge)
    7. How long will I wait for my delivery if the shopping cart shows 'in stock'? - Next day if UK mainland 3/5 working days Europe / US / Canada 5/7 working days world-wide.
    8. Can I get a free sample? - No
    9. What!!?- Just order a small single PhotoMount Pro mounting board, try it out on a
5" x 7" - if you don't fall in love with this system, I will eat my hat (I have been looking for a better way to display prints than cutting a mount board to size, buying a frame, or getting one made, cutting the glass - the expense! the time!)
    10. What's wrong with a well-made frame to show off my print? - A couple of things, really; I personally think that a wooden picture frame can influence the impact of the print, over time can make the print look a bit dated, and in some cases, distract to viewer from the message that the image is intended to convey. With the PhotoMount Pro Display, your image comes first, your visual message shown front and centre to the viewer. My other observation is the common comment among print workers that by the time they have paid out for a card-mount, frame and glass (especially if a custom frame) the profit on a print is reduced greatly by the cost of framing.
These answers to the FAQs are provided by John Read, who appears on these demo videos. - Telephone him on +44 (0) 1825 764 057 between 9 - 5 mgt - all comments (good or bad) are very welcome.
