I have been a fan of Yngwie since 85. Through all the changes, bizarre behaviors, I just like the guys music. But wow, this band looks like a garage band that never went anywhere. WTF!! There used to be a unity within all line ups.
It's called getting older and I suspect he's more focused on the income side of these latest tours. You hire bass player and drummer who just want to say they toured with Yngwie=best price for Yngwie. You scale down effects=more money for Yngwie just my 2 cents. But what do I know? lol!
He doesn't have a band anymore, he plays everything on the recording, which he has always done and then just hires musicians for tours. But it's not a fixed band like YJM's Rising Force. It's just YJM now.
At least at 3:20 as well, trying to shake it off. When ya gotta yawn, ya gotta yawn, eh? Might want to look aside. He gets into the music though. Touring can be exhausting. Band sounds great in Sweden, seems to be having a lot of fun, audience as well. Happy 40th anniversary to him.
Yea, miss Gary, 2! A REAL Giant! And i miss Yngwie, since his first phase 84-?2000somewhat. He was a burning Wheel of Fire and we all were shocked how great he was, and we were curious, if we could see him, in only a few years from then on, still in the atmosphere; before he went to another star-system with his giant skills, this earth becoming too small... But history/Yngwie went another way...i loved Yngwie a lot, but he missed sadly the possibility to grow into...something (even?) bigger. That was the promise i heard in his playing back then...(Odyssee, Trial by Fire, Facing the Animal...). I'm very sorry about that. A One-Two-Trick-Pony that could play everything with Grandezza... So he can do what he likes; i don't like it actually...
He might not be the best guitar player, but he is still rocking and touring.... compared to others from his time - he is still in good shape. I admire Yngwie, greetings from Bulgaria.

It's weird though, almost no Plexis, lots of JCM800 which he never plays, even a JVM and some old Master Volume amps too (early JCM800). He must have forgotten his wall of amps and just used every random Marshall in a 10 km radius. :)

Only one is used I believe. Saw him at a festival a couple of years ago and the guitar sound was horrendous at the beginning. He started twisting knobs on one head but to no effect. The guitar tech then came running in to show him which one is actually used.
@PellPellPell haha ya so it's all show, look at my wall of Marshall's. My favourite set up display of Marshall's is slayer they make 2 huge fucking crosses of pure Marshall cabs and you can bet those bad boys are plugged in haha

In 30 seconds he plays the amount of notes a normal user plays in a year, so the pick is already worn down
