- This video shows 13 things I'd like to see in the upcoming Animal Crossing game (New Horizons) on Nintendo Switch in 2019. Some of these are new features, and others are things that have appeared in earlier games, but not in New Leaf. Here is the full list:
0:12 A class to learn how to identify fossils.
0:58 A path-making tool.
1:12 A fully 3D town with great graphics.
1:27 The return of cliffs.
1:55 USB keyboard support.
2:07 Christmas lights on houses.
2:22 Displaced flowers in lost & found.
2:42 Bells stacking automatically.
2:58 Longer/better chat bubbles.
3:37 No grass wear.
3:54 Able Sisters makeover.
4:20 Freezing ponds.
4:40 Separate tool menu.
Let me know if you like these ideas, and post your own ideas in the comments below! If you're new, please subscribe for more Animal Crossing videos. Thanks, and have a SUPER day!
This video features clips from Animal Crossing (GameCube), Animal Crossing: City Folk (Wii), Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS), and Mario Kart 8 (Wii U).

If Nintendo keeps the public works projects then they should make these little moochers actually help pay for it
What, is 220 out of 30,000 bells not enough?
You try working a 9-5 without thumbs tho
@@nadeche if sable can sew without thumbs these animals can work a nine to five
I'm hoping for a sort of merger between the public works projects from New leaf and the outside furniture in happy home designer
The public works projects were very nice but I agree with you on that point.
I would love to see unlockable music players so you can either
A) Play K.K.’s songs wherever you go
Or
B) Listen to the soundtrack from previous games
The way you can do this is by seeing K.K. play multiple times.
After 20 visits, he’ll give you a music player so you can enjoy his music wherever you go. And whenever you use it, your character will have little earbuds or headphones (which can be purchased after getting the music player) on them. And after you visit K.K. 50 times, you’ll have the ability to listen to the soundtrack from previous games.
ArenRen I like the headphone idea!! Or if you own other games, (splatoon, smash) maybe you unlock songs from that too!
@@reminiscentcosplay Maybe with the 'Fortune Cookie' idea from 'New Leaf' maybe you can get Animal crossing renditions of Nintendo songs.
I like the idea of listening to music from the older games!
This is an amazing idea!
Imagine opening a fortune cookie and getting a mfkn airpod 😤😤
I want the villagers to have more varied personalities again, to actually be able to be mean to you and grow to like you with time!
That would be awesome. Maybe even each villager having something unique to them even if they have those recycled personalities. Maybe every villager has a unique interest? Or favorite color/food that isn't dependent on the personality that they're assigned with.
I agree with you 1000%. In new leaf, they seemed colorful, but limited and repetitive which caused it to feel meaningless.
Yeah actually..a good idea like more mini games like hide and seek!
And more interactions between them
It would be fantastic, really! Acting with the inhabitant, as well as talking to him and doing the quests, like changing your house or his whole, go to Tom Nook together, MAKE A LOT OF THINGS TOGETHER WOULD BE MAR-VE-LOUS
i want them to add jackets you can wear over shirts and zip/unzip, also putting up the hood would be cool!
Yeah that would be nice too!
yes! you could make so many cute outfits!
Yes!!! I want a little raincoat with a hoodie to wear in the rain it sounds adorable
reminiscent_roxy would love to see that!! they have a little hood in hhd whenever it rains and i think that would be super cute too!
reminiscent_roxy that sounds pretty dope
Remember in Animal Crossing GCN where villagers could straight up roast you? They need to bring that back.
Yes or a option for children if they don't want it. I really want it.
They used to tell me how awful my outfit was, and I loved it, I miss their roasts.
Oh My Lorrd me too
perhaps a "No Bullying Ordinance" would be the solution to that, @@ButterflySimmer
@@leojrthetanooki8031 yeah, although I make it free and you have it with other ordinance
You know what I DON’T want to see in AC switch?
Leaf tickets.
So right i hate them
I doubt a console game will have microtransactions, at least, a nintendo console game.
Yes. Because you get them bye doing stupid stuff like pulling weeds with a beautiful town ordinance. Or making a dream town when you've got 25% of the way until you want to make a dream town. Oh! And last but not least catching a shark and only getting two leaf tickets when the maximum is three.
@@nameruse1817 they areren't leaf tickets they are Meow coupouns
*ABSOLUTELY NOT.*
Leaf Tickets will *destroy* the series.
1 - I would love to have a patio outside my house where I could place furniture & other things.
2 - We need a MASSIVE beach area that you can put Public Works Projects on, & villagers could live on it, too.
3 - You should be able to change the color of the grass. If you want a dessert themed town, you can just change the color of the grass to orange or yellow! Sea themed town? Change it to blue or turquoise!
4 - 20 villagers need to be able to live in my town at once. All of these villagers also need to interact with my PWPs similar to how animals did with stuff at your campsite in Pocket Camp.
5 - There should be loads of places to go to using the monorail (or other means of transportation). I think there should be a place dedicated to each tool. One place for fishing, one for bug catching, one for growing flowers, one for digging things up. Slingshot doesn’t need a local, nor does axe, for obvious reasons.
A monorail would be cool to travel to other people's towns and such. It would look so cool 😍 or they could model it after the bullet train in japan
Yeah, I think the new transportation should be a monorail or hot - air balloon!
Cool Phillip!
Their should be a place in the city called tom cooks. You can buy things like pots and pans for making meals. And you should be able to take the fruits in the town to make things like pies, and you can also deliver pies to other villagers. also I feel like their should be a vacation place where. You can go anytime. And you can get things like souvenirs. ANND you should be able to ride bikes, and you should be able to have a job, and you have a alarm for working, you can ether be late or get your ass their on time. Guys I feel like all this should be included in the new animal crossing.
Phillip B. I don’t
Understand number five but yeah
The ability to send letters to your online friends through the game
The 3DS has the ability to do this with SPOTPASS, but damn it Nintendo wants to childproof everything
@@josephkreifelsii6596 uggghh lolll
It is now in new horizons :)
Hoo boy do I have news for you
@@hannah7724 OOF I forgot I commented this and now look what we can do! It's literally the best thing and so simple to do it
How about grass seeds?
Or fertelizer in order to regrow grass?
I'd also like to have a bigger play area.
How about having the normal town area in the middle and have it surrounded by many different biomes?
Having only grass and beach is getting really boring.
How about a deep dark forest?
Lots of spiders and other insects, maybe a small pond with fish you can only find there and instead of music, only ambient forest sounds.
I agree, the movie, which came out in 2006, had much more going on, Ai was even seen riding a bicycle, so they should take some inspiration from that, hell, I'd like to see villagers sunbathing or swimmin during summer time or beach events like characters playing volleyball or a swimmin competition, it'd make the villagers more alive
This, right here would be a reason to buy the NEW game if they offered it! Great idea Marisa!!! (Fyi, I don't need an incentive to purchase the Animal Crossing Games, but with your suggestions, it would be AMAZING!
these are great ideas (esp the grass seeds)
I love this idea
I personally think the grass only thing gives the game its charm! I would not want a city like village with apartments...
I really think that there’s should be some sort of function where when a villager wants to move in, Isabelle goes “There’s a new citizen in town! they want you to show them around!” and you take them and tell them where you want them to live. I guess if you don’t play the game that day the villager can choose wherever. But this way you have control over where they live so they don’t move in horrible spots, but it still makes sense for mayor to “show them around” !
Alternatively, new houses could be placed as public works projects and new villagers would have to choose between available houses you put down. Either way would be awesome! I want to make my own damn neighborhoods, Nintendo!
i like the idea of putting down shields where it stands that this is a buildable house space and villagers then choose where they want to live
It would be amazing if we could visit an underwater town with sea creature villagers and whatnot. It could be the new "island." You can visit there after so much time has passed and there'd be octopi and seals and crabs... maybe you get an item that turns you into a merfolk or you get an old diving suit meant for walking the ocean's floor. It could be great! and of course there'd be exclusive items/npcs/minigames...
Now you have to GATHER MATERIALS FOR THEIR HOUSES
Gaboom 7137 only for the first 3
I’d like a cave system. Or maybe a detailed way to see underwater and the beauty of the ocean
Like he said the 3D theme would be really great. Think about the view you have underwater 😍
I'd love caves too, it'd be just like the 2006 movie.
I love not being able to see under the ocean it makes me think about with it'd look like and I did all the time when I was playing as a kid
Not a fan of caves, idk, but being able to properly dive and explore underwater? Yes pls
Jeez, no need to be aggressive, @George Henry, that's just an opinion
Send letters to your Friends!!
Cool idea!
Omg yes, instead of having to travel to their town to give them a letter. It could send whenever you connect to WiFi, vise versa.
Agreed!
NINTENDO TAKE NOTES
You can, you just need to be in their town.
A separate tool menu should’ve been in the game since day one.
Yes, definitely. Harvest Moon games have been doing it since the '90s.
@@jvgsjeff damn, harvest moon is throwback, it's a Wednesday how could you thwack me with nostalgia like that mate
I've come from the future to say I'm very disappointed
I really appreciate the editing you put into this
Thanks! Yeah, some of those scenes took hours to make just a few seconds of footage, haha.
jvgsjeff I thought they were real! Holy crap
Well it depends which ones you're talking about. The Christmas lights on houses, for example, didn't require editing at all. Those occurred in the Bright Nights festival in Wild World. If there's anything specific you're wondering about, just ask!
jvgsjeff was the fossil quiz a thing?
No, the fossil quiz was done in editing. The rotating fossil is from the catalog in the GameCube game, and I used music from Happy Home Designer for that part.
you know what else would be cool? They already made it so you can change your point of view in your house, but would if you could do that outside?
Hell yeah that would be awesome!
Would be so cool! Butttt, they would have to animate more. They are kinda lazy but is worth the wait.
Where would be the button to do that?
Maybe the L & R triggers
reminiscent_roxy this would absolutely ruin the simplicity of animal crossing for me. I am very happy with my single position camera
I've always wanted some kind of simple minigames to be playable if you have certain pieces of furniture. Like you could play a game of ping pong with your neighbors if they or you had a ping pong table in the room. I don't want it to be a major thing necessarily and I'm not holding my breath for anything as cool as the NES games again, I just want a new way to interact with my friends. That is, after all, what Animal Crossing is supposed to be about.
"able sisters makeover"
* Inhales *
*BOY DO I HAVE NEWS FOR YOU*
I think we should see where rocks and villagers are on the map. I also think we should be able to ask for jobs at any time again, and give villagers gifts at any time.
jvgsjeff for president because these ideas are THAT good
Haha, thanks but I'll pass. :P
@@jvgsjeff I mean what animal crossing would still be the mayor or on switch I hope it will be president and isabelle would be vice-president
Yeah and more Controlover the shops, like when they're ready to open, they will come approach you and ask if they can open shop, and you can pick where the store goes!
I mean he's mayor in his own town.
I just came to comment something similar. This is the most practical and realistic ac wish list I've see.
I agree with the bell and fruit stacking, it’s such a pain. And when it comes to path placing, that takes a while as well. The Able Sisters should totally get a makeover! Perhaps their shop can merge similar to Tom Nook’s and Liefs, maybe with Gracie Grace or with Shampoddle! That way you can have new look when it comes to clothing and your hair!
I agree or maybe have kicks in there as well so you can get clothes shoes and a new hairstyle/make over
@@zaneking4119, exactly! It will will be a sweet treat to get all three in one visit.
Yeah, I wish the able sisters had upgrades like Tom Nook's, like it upgrades over time. 😍
@@Astr0Dev The more you buy and visit, the faster it upgrades! And I hope we get new clothing!
@@rebbystar5235 yessssss maybe new upgrades can unlock new forms of clothing like backpacks, or other stylish bags. 😍
I've only recently gotten into this franchise, and just partly played New Leaf and Wild World. I think it's really sad that Blathers has nearly no unique dialogue in New Leaf, whereas in Wild World he has said something special about every. Single. Item. I've donated to the museum. I also want a bigger play area, and new surroundings. Also new quests to do for animals. Perhaps a villager wants his house to be surrounded by res flowers and so forth. And I totally agree with your list!! I also wish that Celeste got her position back.. And I hope we get the ability to enjoy international events. It's quite boring living in Europe.. Japan and North America get cooler events! Maybe some sort of international (online) festival area? Or a stand that appears in your town selling international event items. And more weekly, optional events. Maybe bring back the flea market and more things from past games.
Omgyellow landscaping requests coming from villagers would be absolutely adorable!!! oh my gosh
i also hope they add more to the museum, i like the dialogue blathers said about specific items (made him less annoying to talk to), and i enjoy the information they provided for each item
i hope they keep that, and add more bugs/fish species
i also think it would be cool to have a gyroid exhibit instead of brewster holding them in limbo?
@@pocket-slime yeah, me too! I never have space for the gyroids in my house. And new species of bugs and everything ftw.
@@djsnappy6632 right?? Like maybe they wanted only one color, or being surronded by roses ^^
ness, me too!!!
I would like...
- To be able to rename my town & my villager without needing to start over.
- For Phineas (the badge guy) to have a specific time & date for when he shows up in your town. Everytime he gives you a badge, he should also give you a balloon or another cool reward like in city folk :)
- To be able to decide where the rocks go in your town, which native fruit you have and the colour of your town hall & train station.
- To have more freedom over which villagers live in your town. Eg; if you don’t like a villager, you could go to the town hall and ask for them to leave.
- To be able to ask villagers if you can do tasks for them instead of having to wait for them to ask you.
- Be able to layer clothing (like hoodies & tshirts)
- Have different skin colour options, different heights and different sizes
- Be able to get a mii makeover (like in City Folk)
- Be able to dress your villagers in the clothes you want and decide on a greeting / nickname when you want.
- Have the flea market every Sunday (like in City Folk!) where you go into villagers homes and buy their furniture!
- Create your OWN furniture!
- Buy fertiliser that changes flowers to the colour you want :) Also, a fertiliser that makes sure flowers cannot be destroyed after running over them.
- To be able to buy a pair of ice skating boots!! I have always wished to be able to buy some in New Leaf, and it would link really nicely if the ponds froze over so you could use them :))) (how cool would it be if 1 day a year, the sea froze over & you could skate on there & go fishing like eskimos!)
- Put more notes & octaves in the town tune. It would give more freedom to replicate your favourite song :)
- Send letters to your friends in other towns
- MORE VILLAGER CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS
- Sassy villagers again
- A bigger fence around your house that doubles as a garden to put furniture in. Leif could sell outdoor furniture like climbing frames & garden swings to place here
- Bring back Wisp! Not just for amiibo purposes
- More bugs & fish for your encyclopaedia
- Have a ‘plaza’ where players can meet each other, hang out, exchange codes, play mini games, travel to different towns etc. In this plaza, there should be an arcade where you can play classic Nintendo games and play against your friends.
- Be able to put in song requests in club 101
- Make constellations again
- Bring back Nintendo live chat
While I don't agree with all of these there's some solid points, esp the garden space thing, which reminded me of Happy Home Designer, to be able to set out outdoor furniture like you could on that would be amazing
To add onto your list, they need to bring back the shopping card (from City Folk) and just allow you to use it anywhere because carrying bags of 99,999 bells around to buy expensive items is just impractical and annoying
Lucy Isabel if I’m not wrong, I’m pretty sure you will be able to craft furniture with the D.I.Y feature, there will be skin tones to choose from (based on the trailer), and I think you will be able to make a bigger fence area since you are allowed to place furniture outside. There also should be some new fish and bugs added into the game, along with all the last fish and bugs being redesigned and have new animations. Also they made all the sound effects sound very realistic bc they made them themselves at the Nintendo workplace. I’m really excited about the really good graphics and skin tones though :D
Its not club 101 lmao. You dunce. And the town thing wouldn't be fun. So that's a big no.
Maybe isabelle could be like "the small fee and paperwork to change the towns name" and it costs like ~500k
Well, now that AC: New Horizons is out, let's go through the points:
1) Fossil Identification - NO - but it's much easier and quicker than before
2) Path Making Tool - KIND OF - The Builidng mode makes setting paths as easy as it gets, though still per each space on the map.
3) 3D Town + Graphics - KIND OF - No 360 full 3D Town, but the graphics look better than ever.
4) Cliffs + Multi Level towns - YES - 100% in it, and more control than you could think of!
5) USB Keyboard - YES - works on my Switch, and Typing with the Smartphone App is easy, too.
6) Winter lights - ??? - dunno about that one
7) Flowers + Lost and Found - YES - You can decide where to place houses, even better!
8) Stacking - YES - they do stack automatic.
9) Chat messages - YES - they are not on screen for long, but you can see them all in the app. So it's a yes from me!
10) No grass wear - YES - and even better, we got paths!
11) Able sisters - NO - at least no substantial change.
12) Frozen ponds - NO - but I also see no reason to that haha
13) Separate Tools - KIND OF - not tool section, but 40 slots which is so much more than ever!
So we have 6 Yes, 3 Kind ofs, and 4 Nos, a pretty good quota in my opinion!
The able sisters store is pretty different
My friend who started his game in June has been Tt-ing day by day to present time since and is currently in March.
He told me that there are ornaments for some period of time on Cedar Trees so that's a yes!
Also if you're asking he hasn't updated yet to get the Bunny stuff, after that he'll update for Earth Day.
@@FranDC4 before New Horizons, I never really do much clothes shopping. But honestly I've been collecting a lot of fashion items compared to New Leaf. I've been collecting a wide variety of clothes rather than just keeping one type of clothing from a certain style strictly for wearing to increase my good fortune for the day like in New Leaf. That's my main improvement from past games with the Tailor's
real complain I have is that I have to go in and out of the fitting room to buy multiple clothes in one category. Since you can only put one too, bottom, hat, accessory, sock, shoe and backpack all at one time. Putting something like a dress on forces the top and bottom off, while putting on some headgear forces any hats or face accessories off.
I am shocked that New Horizons has only 2 shops and not much upgrades.
I know it'd be a pain but unique dialouge for each villager besides their catchphrase.
It’s their job to make quality games even if it takes a while or is tedious. We’re not asking for much, just a couple dozen more phrases and interactions so I actually want to talk to the villagers again. I don’t think it’s that much to ask for.
@@schlubenno3827 yeah. I mean it's fine that there are certain personality types but villagers should still have some individualism in dialogue despite that. I barely talk to villagers anymore in New Leaf because they are repetitive af. Nintendo needs to make it possible that villager interaction feel more fresh and rewarding.
I'd like to see them bring back the NES games in the Switch game!
Yes, or at least some replacements (SNES games or Game Boy, or even all-new mini-games designed with a retro feel).
Maybe only have them available if you have Switch Online or whatever, would still be nice.
Who needs Nintendo Switch Online when you have Animal Crossing?
@@jvgsjeff that is definitely not happening with all these virtual console systems on the market today.
add cliffs so i can jump off when they start selling bells for real life money
Omfg they might actually do that
@@JaContex i love animal crossing so much i got a tattoo of it, but if it has microtransactions, that preorder is cancelled! :)
Noooo!
@@megazenn22 Nintendo don't do microtransactions outside of phone games
@@wintersong2266 but if they wanted to put microstansactions in a full game, this would be the logical start point, since they made a phone animal crossing game with it. and its ripe for it cos of the ingame economy, unlike mario games
I would really like the new animal crossing to be more like the GameCube one!
Yessss same
OG Animal Crossing on the gamecube was the best. It was so simple and wholesome.
SkipJackDoes Stuff yes but without game cube graphics
Except for the gyroid face you can get. That creeps me out.
I miss the balls you get to kick around Lol
Also, walking into buildings without the screen having to reload (is that the word?) would be cool. For example, in Breath of the Wild you can just open the doors and walk in but in past animal crossings you had to wait for the screen to load every time you went in a new room
The houses would take even more space on the world
Dat Bootlegger oh true, especially the mansions. Maybe just the stores then?
@@reminiscentcosplay yup.
I think the houses should be loaded fully when you're inside the them. That way you could enter any room without loading screens. (And the houses would still take up the space they take in for example, new leaf.)
Just increase the world size and make all houses full size without the loading zones.
How about being able to place furniture outside as well?
Or being able to buy a garden where you can place furniture and plant flowers and trees?
Update: A path-making tool has been confirmed for New Horizons, and the trailer revealed that cliffs have returned as well. Automatic bell stacking looks likely, since other materials stack by default when picked up. The game is still in development, so maybe we'll still get more of these features too.
I'm glad some of the features from your video are a thing. Hype!
4:16 sound byte used is from what? It had me dying!
It's one of the enemies from Donkey Kong 64.
I want multiple tropical islands (like tortimer island)
Fork you got your wish!!!
Bring back the voice saying 'nintendo' before the game starts because thAT HAS BEEN THE CUTEST THING IN WILD WORLD
It would be fab to have a larger area for the beach where you could place public work projects.
Your editing skills are on point. 👌🏻 I also agree with everything you said. I would love the graphics that are in the Mario kart game. Those are amazing.
I wouldn't mind a bigger city area that could be a hub world for players of a community to connect, and then different groups of players you are friends with could head back on different busses to different towns. The city could be a place to connect with others and there could even potentially be randomized city layouts just like the villages, but it would just be a place to go and visit - I suppose like a lobby area in a Minecraft server or something.
Designating specific plots of land for villagers to move in so they don't appear all over the place.
*a dreamie appearing on top of your white carnation garden*
FOR REAL
This happened
B. V. Looks like we got that
great ideas jeff! I think the separate tool inventory is my favorite idea
they almost have the mechanic in there already - in WW you can put a wardrobe in your pocket (full of stuff) or a mannequin in NL - so multi level storage is definitely plausible.
Things I'd like:
-Phones: We could call and text villagers so we do not have to find them. Not really relevant but I think it would be cool.
-More facilities: Restaurants and Cafés. We could buy food there and sit with our villagers and eat.
- The ability to fund a rocket: We could go to space and set up a cool secondary village on the moon with everyone wearing spacesuits. And a low- gravity effect.
Holidays: A travel agency could be in the town, where we could pay to move temporarily to a holiday resort. With new villagers. The amount of time we could spend there would depend on how much we pay. And cruises and aeroplanes could be involved too.
March 16th 2020 Update:
1. Nope
2. Yes! so happy about this, even if it isn't as fast as the one in your video it's still better
3. Graphics are superb quality
4. 3 Levels!
5. EDIT: Yes in the 1.1.0 update, this was no previously as it wasn't around when I made the comment so don't correct me.
6. Unless I missed them in the trailer, sadly no lights like in WW
7. No idea if lost and found will even still exist
8. I forgot but I think they do now (thank God)
9. Unknown
10. ITS GONE FINALLY
11. The new update looks amazing
12. Not gonna happen but considering we have pole vaults they should probs stay as water.
13. WE HAVE THE TOOL RING NOW!! YAY
There is actually USB keyboard support! When the switch is docked you can plug a USB keyboard into the USB ports on the dock and use it!
@@FSEThompson This was posted before the 1.1.0 update, in the earlier versions of the game this was not supported though (I tested it before and after since my wifi was down on the 20th)
@@50phia Oh I didn't realise keyboard support was only added with the update!
@@FSEThompson It's okay
I wish we could make music for KK Slider to play. His music is great but what if I want to hear him singing something from Earthbound or from some another game?
There could be something similar to the mario paint composer. Maybe you could also share the music with others using QR codes.
@@marcusarabi5624 that would be awesome!
Unlimited wardrobe space! One of my least favourite things about the Animal Crossing series was that you only had a certain amount of spaces in the wardrobe before it's all full up. I hope i wasn't the only one making extra characters just to store items!
Or make it like pocket camp
I actually disagree with this one. There is already SO much space in the wardrobe and secret store room, on top of all the space in your house. I think managing your items and deciding what you REALLY need contributes to the lifestyle feel of the game, and I like that.
Not necessarily unlimited, but more organized
Jasmine A. Oh yeah definitely.
Jasmine A. It would help organizing if the item would get a marking or sth so I know if i already own this item. My problem was always i wasnt sure if i already own this specific item so i bought it to be sure. Making it like pocket camp kind of style would be helpful.
6 out of 13 is pretty good Jeff
Implement ALL of the design options from HHD into the new game. Having to create new characters just to have different paths in your town, cause you couldn't even rotate the tiles was just ridiculous and time consuming. When they released the Amiibo version for New Leaf, I immediately thought that option would was put in place, sadly they didn't, I really didn't care about sitting on rocks.
buttarain27 including character creation at the start
& Pocket Camp
Things we got:
- Placeable paths
- 3-D Town with great graphics
- Cliffs and multi-layer towns
- Bells and fruit stacking automatically
- No grass wear
- Tool space (sort of - tool ring, but you can expand pocket size)
Yeah I don't think you understand what he meant with "fully 3D"

Able Sisters makeover was added too, a lil bit
i love coming back to videos like these, only a month before launch, to see how far we’ve come.
A full rotatable camera OUTSIDE. Imagine being able to see your town from different angles.
Imagine 5 people being replaced by a post stand and a lost and found box. Damn Nintendo did them dirty.
someone's an oracle in disguise. well, for about 70% of it.
Most were pretty obvious changes that really needed to happen
Being able to decide where new villagers move in is basically the only feature I desperately want
Fortunately that looks like a feature that is confirmed for New Horizons. 😁
That's a big feature in the game, thankfully!!
I think it'd be cool to create your own villager, by picking from the species's available and designing it, and giving them whatever cranky or odd dialogue you want with 30 dialogue input options.
maybe the ability to unlock an outdoor area as one of the house upgrades, so you can put outdoor furniture outside your house. Things like lights, benches, flower pots, bonfires, etc.
The ability to send letters to people in other towns.
AND MAKE THE VILLAGERS HELP WITH THE PUBLIC WORKS
The villagers *do* help with the PWPs, just not very often. But yeah Nintendo, make the villagers contribute to your town!
Mans got his wishes granted
Rude villagers. Lol Like the first animal crossing.
Loved this video and your points, though I don’t really mind the grass wearing down as long as we are offered something to restore it, like buying sod or just turning off the option.
Bringing back Boondox as an updated feature would be cool. Like, you could send donations to restore the town and get unique rewards like the feathers, but maybe also make a way to interact more with the town’s state! Things like receiving postcards or photos showing the town’s current state, having new, exclusive Boondox villagers move to your town at a certain level of donated bells, villagers that move out of town going to Boondox and sending you special items... I dunno, it would be a fun way to get unique unlocks.
I heard in boondox the only eat one thing - grilled cheese sandwiches. But they dont have cheese. Or Bread. They just eat fried dirt!
@@lw1391 i heard that they like to eat dirty rice
i can't believe how many of these made it into acnh... thank you for your service jvgsjeff
Well, we did get these things:
• Path Tool
• Full 3D
• Cliffs re-added
• USB Keyboard? (with Nintendo Switch Online)
• Automatic Stacking
• No Grass Wear
6/13, not bad. Maybe the Christmas light will come in winter months and there a way to look at pass messages on nookphone. So should add these 2 to the list too. Oh and Mabel sister remodel too.
USB Keyboard isn't locked to online. You can use it for letters and local multiplayer too!
The displaced flowers thing would be neat but I'm honestly just imaging that one of the villagers is trying to hit on Booker but he just things they're putting flowers in lost and found
LMAO - that's hilarious.
bring back morning aerobics! and the wishing well as a public works project
Bigger Room sizes and more town customization/options.
Return of Japanease events.
Less items locked in Japan.
The ability to choose a villager or two.
wow I can't believe you predicted 4, 5, 8, 10, and 11 !!
I can’t wait until Nintendo shows gameplay of this game!
I've been saying the tool thing FOREVER! A "tool belt" would be great so you can carry every type of tool (and maybe even the shopping card and bring that back so bells don't tale up space.)
Seeing this pop up in my subscriptions gave me such a hit of nostalgia, it made me remember a video of yours where you type o lots to recreate "K.K Condor" and how I would do it to try and impress people online.
I agree with all, but I'd love to see something along the lines of making furniture (I wanted a gothic series for a REALLY long time) it could have similar programming like creating pro designs like other games in the series (but not having a stylus to do that could potentially be a problem). More unique villagers! Like Anhka, Drago, Lucky, Julian, Kabuki, and the amiibo villagers. I wouldn't mind being the Mayor again if they could have more public works projects, and new ordinances. Also, longer hair styles, or the option to go completely bald would be cool.
Lastly, I'd love if Gracie could do a new furniture sets/clothes that are different every year for the seasons (ie furniture and clothes in Fall of 2019 would be different than the ones in Fall of 2020)
Maybe they could repeat every 3, 5, or in extreme cases every 10 years? It would make people at least want to get more yearly items than an exclusive New Years tshirt.
On the subject of the Able sisters store needing a makeover, I think their store should be upgradable like Nook's store
Wow you were right on the money with most of these! Looks like we will be having a path tool, better stacking, and lights on houses! Great video and great predictions!
Your editing is great, I love how much effort you put into this ❤
I agree with all of these but I wish we could choose where villagers placed their houses and choose how our characters looked
Career paths/procession, (i.e. have us run for Mayor if we want to, or work at able sisters to get recognized by Gracie, or go through the Happy Home Academy as a Designer, or Go on Tour as a musician and play the opening act at a K. K. Concert, or work as a museum assistant putting fossils together and answering trivial things for the visiting villagers, etc. etc.)[or the classic work at the café] Eventually some of the major big-wigs retire allowing you to be the boss, or you leave to become a rival to them, starting your own store.
HHD way of setting rooms.
Pachinko Machines, Pinball Machines, Arcade Machines, etc etc. are minigames when you unlock them and you can pay 100g at a locale to gamble away your money at a parlor.
Food should do something. Amino suggested having a hunger meter that increases speed and luck, but bad food would make you sick and do the opposite needing medicine to remedy.
Choose your species.
Also allow for human NPC(s)..
The movie had so many cute interactions... I wish to see NPCs become BFFs with you by spending the day with you like a puppy following you or like a sidekick teaming up with you (basically anything you can do online with friends should be available for you to do with your villagers).
2-player couch co-op and local play(no internet multiplayer).
Updates to villager dialogue as version updates.
3 friends can be set as neighbor towns where if their side gates are open you can enter anytime and visit your friends town.
Personality, when you select specific choices in your words it causes NPCs to feel certain or different ways for you based on their personality, and also building your own.
Tanning Salon (Mani Pedi) (as well as going to the island or spending time outside in the summer)
Bigger and Larger town and villages with much more space. Mario got bigger from a galaxy and Zelda got bigger from a free-roaming ocean/sky to an entire world... I'd like to see a huge area to explore and more villagers in one town.
An Online Market ("E-Bells by Re-Tail" or "E-Tail") that allows you to place your unwanted furniture for sale or trade, as well as an inventory viewer and trade request option.
Food should autostack into baskets
Sharing a town together with an online friend like having a Cabin in their town (or maybe a shared server for one town).
When you unlock a version of every tool, you are given a tool box which only takes up one inventory space for all your tools (or no inventory space at all)
One idea I really like is Biomes where specific animals don't go anywhere outside of their biome except to be adventurous or to make more friends of varying species, it was suggested one time that towns could have specific biomes that only housed certain species and villagers that moved in do so to take risks. Like perhaps a city/downtown area and a countryside/county
Relationship component that allows you to get better work of be more likeable with villagers who will then give out better pay. Backstories you can learn from every single villager.
The Credit Card in City Folk was such a great addition... I don't see why we can't get a similar item in this game... perhaps allow us to upgrade our bell pocket to different levels, like getting bigger wallets in Zelda.
Bring back Serena and other fan favorites.
Switch NES Online games accessible through NES furniture (just for nostalgia)
Amiibo support and downloadable content should not be the only way to acquire something,
Multiple controller options... I'd like to be able to play with two JoyCons as though it were a WiiMote and Nunchuk or in the JoyCon Grip, or with original GCN Controller Controls (slightly updated)
MEOW Coupons ought to make a return, it was fun to have a completion of specific challenges element.
A massive AAA title inserted into the core series is what Animal Crossing needs to real stay alive; I hope there's a lot to do, explore, and just overall have fun. If it's learns the pros and cons from it's predecessors as well as learn from the success that is Stardew Valley... We may have a game that will rival BotW and Odyssey.
Us: graphics as good as the Mario kart 8 town!
Nintendo:how about BETTER graphics
I'm really glad I found this channel. Gives me a way to be hyped for NH without seeing every inch of the game before it even comes out.
They better do us right this time! Not that any animal crossing games have been bad, but they’ve always missed one or two things
All these ideas are exceptional I think grass wear should be a thing still though I think paths should be a public works project and it keeps that area from wearing out the grass
When you catch something new it should say “new catch” or something.
it says i wonder what my encyclopedia says about this
I really want them to bring back the option to ask your villagers if they need anything done, like in Population Growing. I always used to love just running back and forth in my town delivering things to people and whatnot. The "oops I lent that thing I borrowed to blank!" was annoying but I'd be patrolling the town for fossils/bugs/etc anyway so it was just a bit of extra fun.
Its like nintendo saw your vid when making new horizons
I want to see villagers play soccer again or make snowmen or the fountain in the very first game to come back so we can do the fit training event again! Where their all doing jumping jacks and stuff to the radio music
So interesting to watch after having had NH for awhile. Some of these, like a different section in your inventory for tools and being able to identify your own fossils, should have been added. But it's cool to see that 2, 4, 5, 8, and 10 were all implemented (or something very similar at least).
Wow this video predicted a ton of shit
Houseboat villagers was an idea I had the other night. The houses could hang out around the dock, and given the porch around their house you'd have more area to fish and could fish out farther. Said houseboat villagers could move to your coastline permanently if interacted with enough. Maybe you'd have option to have them move into town or on the coast? Not sure how much freedom with the city layout we'll get with the new game but just the start of an idea.
It was cool seeing this resurface in my recommended vids, also interesting to see that a few of these actually did make it in! The others would’ve been cool additions
i’m surprised at how many of these wants either ended up being true or came pretty close
I think it would be nice if the villagers really became friends. Is that just me, or do they just talk to each other like "this is my neighbor, with whom I have to talk". But they are not really friends somehow ... besides, I would find it very nice to be able to make love relationships with them, because the fortune teller always tells me that I will find love, but I can't go into love relationships with my villagers... so, what is the sense of this prediction?
(I hope, that this was correct english, cause I'm german.)
You got a few mild errors like "sense" instead of "purpose" in the last sentence.
And I heavily disagree with the love feature you suggested. That seems really out of place in Animal Crossing.
Maybe if it was rated t or something isk how rating work wed get love
But right now all we can do is dream
I think it would be weird for our character to fall in love with a villager since they're not humans... But it would be fun if there was some love-interest between two villagers, in an implicit way
1) An exhibit space in the museum for gyroids. At the very least I'd like to see a return of Brewster's gyroid storage system.
2) Have the option to pick your skin color at the start of the game and have the ability to change it later on. It could be through the salon chair like in HHD, but I also think it would be cute if the town store carried sunblock and tanning oil to make it easier to maintain the look you want.
3) Program in more often and varied interactions between villagers. I almost never get to see them talk to each other and it would really help maintain the feel of a small town if you got to see your neighbors interact on a regular basis.
4) Add events where shop owners and other essential NPCs meet up outside of work and spend time together. I crave more villager interactions and it makes me so sad that there aren't that many. The pelican love triangle from Wild World was cute and Tom and Lyle's occassional conversations are really funny, but there are so many interesting dynamics between characters that the game sets up but never really does anything with. I want Digby and Isabelle to have quality sibling time! I want Celeste and Katrina to have tea and talk about astrology!! I want Gracie and Labelle to reminisce about the good old days and talk about how they've both grown as people and as designers!!! Give them to me!!!!
5) Have room for more town residents.
6) Make diving faster/more efficient. Maybe have the option of taking diving classes to get better at it?
7) Put down public works projects like you put down furniture in HHD.
I would like:
1.Chracters that will take time to grow a relationship
2.KK slider songs would play during the game
3.Buying food for your animals or drinks
4.Learn how to make clothes by the Abel Sisters
- houses like in Happy Home Designer with the possibility to place furniture in the garden as well
- more possible designs (here, I mean being able to design not only t-shirts, pullovers, and dresses, I mean being able to design every kind of clothes and every shape as well)
- more city projects and being able to turn them in the wanted direction
- the net-glitch (it was very funny to reach new places just using the net 🤣)
- a smartphone for the character ( I found this idea on acpc)
- more insects, fishes and nautical creatures, to catch
- the possibility of placing a flag in front of the character's house
- being able to have more than 1 design page in the character's menu, it means like the cupboard's menu the character is able to save 2 pages of every kind of design (2 pages for paths/trails, 2 pages for signs,2 pages for each kind of clothes, 2 pages for individual artworks, 2 pages for the character's home designs (like carpets, walls, furniture makeovers), (it's so annoying to have only 10 designs in the character's pocket)
- a bigger city area (the 1 in New Leaf is already great, but there are some things missing (for example a restaurant (the kind of restaurant is chosen by the mayor), a school for some Animal Crossing lifehacks, the observatory, a sports stadium for the ac city's team,....))
- TV news shows with text messages please (we can be better informed about the next week in our town, like upcoming events, new available city projects, weather conditions (like on the real life cellphone), tarantula / scorpion warnings, new neighbors, ...)
- fixed spots only for the neighbors' houses (the user's characters can place their houses where they want, but the neighbors have fixed spots)
- more details in weather conditions, like clearer lightings
- chosen meadows
- more environmental events (like cherry blossoms or autumnal trees)
- more kinds of flowers and breeds
- more hairstyles (most of the open girly hairstyles are way too short ( I like long and open hair way more than tied hair) and not individual enough (they should be chosen like in Tomodachi Life, but in every color, and not the mii head)
- more features for the coastal area (just fishing, diving, going to the island, planting palms isn't enough and the beach would offer great ideas for events (like festivals with K.K. Slider in summer)
- more minigames on the island
- more environmental features ( like a rough sea during a thunderstorm, dolphins jumping out of the ocean in summer, flying leaves in autumn,...)
- customer points like in acww
- screenshots of top and touchscreen
I'm from the future and I'm going to say that the Animal Crossing for the Switch is called *Animal Crossing New Horizons* . And no, there's no feature to examine a fossil by yourself
It's not like te person who made this video is stuck in a time vortex my man, they make New Horizons content.
Great ideas! Some of mine include a PWP shop, multiple town saves, sending letters to friends without being in their town, designing garments other than dresses and shirts, more kinds of flowers like sunflowers, GC comeback of the diary/calendar, comments on billboards of a Dream Town, selecting furniture instead of pushing it, more designing aspects to wallpaper/carpets, and perhaps buying rare hybrids at the garden shop. There are so many possibilities! :)
this is a great video that presents ideas that i personally feel make sense in the sense of animal crossing. ive seen other lists where people ask for things, while they would work in the game, they wouldnt feel right, but i feel everything in your list feels like itd incorporate naturally, nice work jeff!
-Portable boombox item you can place in the town that can play music outdoors--maybe it only is audible within a certain radius, or maybe it plays all through the village.
-Ability to set up other similar temporary things in the village that aren't so limited as public works projects. Like, you should be able to set up a campfire temporarily when your friends come over.
-Different types of towns to move to--maybe an alpine version, a mediterranean version, a desert town.
-A float you can use to float down the river, lazy style.
-Grottos and caves you can find and excavate in the walls when you explore the ocean, or maybe even in your town. Inside, you should be able to do and find things you can't do elsewhere. Rare bugs and fish, rare mushrooms or gems or fossils. Possibly set up a secret base like in Pokemon. Maybe you could find NPCs there who you wouldn't find elsewhere, like a bat.
-Grow other kinds of fruits and maybe vegetables. Things that don't grow on trees, but on vines or in cornfields or something. Wouldn't it be fun to be able to make corn mazes? And let us plant other kinds of plants, like succulents.
-Windy days and other weather
--More lore and development of the series mainstays.
-I think it'd be cool to see the return of talking gyroids, like we saw in the first game. Maybe there could even be a little shop or village you visit where everybody is a gyroid.
-More animal species please! snakes and bats
-How about the ability to actually expand the town and make it bigger? A construction team would spend several days digging into the cliff or something, and you would have more space.
-Animals should be likelier to move out if we treat them like dirt. lol
-Possibly swim in the ocean with your villagers during summer, maybe even have races or diving contests. Or snowball fights in the winter.
-In summer, have sand castle building contests at the beach.
I have lots more ideas
We seriously need all these features! Great editing btw! 😁
I mainly want mini-games back (even if they are full versions and ports of NES games) and 60 FPS gameplay.
And what's great is that a lot of these ideas in the comments AND the video are actually in the game. I wonder if Nintendo looked at this video...
Something I've always wanted is secret rooms. Imagine if you see a strange mark on the ground so you start digging. Then, when you walk near the hole, your character jumps in. Then you are in a dark cave with rare items laying on the floor. Or during winter, the water fall and the stream freezes over. You jump down onto the ice, then hit the frozen water fall with a golden shovel. The ice breaks and falls away, revealing a cave. Or perhaps when swimming you dive down near the wall and you find yourself popping out on the other side, in a cave, or an abandoned house. Maybe when diving, you can swim under the bridge and actually find a small camping area underneath it. Or, when you hit a wall, it may crumble and reveal an entrance.
All of these could have different things in them, like rare items, loads of money, old bearded villagers you've never seen before asking you not to give away their spots, and maybe even new tools.
All of these would be extremely rare, so it's really special when you find them. So not every hole will be a cave, the water fall freezing over would be very rare, the under water caves wouldn't always be there, and the bridge doesn't always have someone camping there.
They all disappear after you leave them, so that it remains a secret.
That last one... I have never seen an image so beautiful
Mechanics i want back tortimer island, message of the week, story events with characters, police station, villagers having better dialogue, the holiday house, kicking balls, HHA showcase, roost, sending not in a bottle with others, making constellations, furniture sets, Gracie and features from HHA academy
Things that I want in Animal Crossing New Horizons now that it's out.
1. Give us the power to kick out villagers at will or at the very least make it much easier. The current way is a royal nightmare to deal with and can take several MONTHS!
2. Give us an option to buy more similar clothing at once. Now you have to buy 1 at a time if you want all color options.
3. Make us able to separate stacks by more than just 1 item at a time.
4. Give villagers more personalities or unlock all personalities with both genders. Males can be "normal" too, you know!
5. Make our wallets bigger. Just... Why not?
6. Make campsite visitors more common (related to the first one.) Now it's just a useless piece of land that never gets used.
7. Unlock all fruits and flowers on mystery ticket island tours. As far as I know, you can only find one neighboring fruit and not even sure about flowers. Not everyone got friends playing this game or are as social as others... They should still be rare, though.
8. Make us able to order more than 5 items from the nook stop. 10 would be much appreciated.
9. Even if your village is full, you could still sometimes find villagers from mystery islands and invite them to your campsite. (Yet again, related to the first one)
10. Make all trees look different from one another ffs...
11. Make us able to craft more than one item at time.
Just some simple quality of life upgrades. That's all I'm asking for.
We seriously need a quality of a life update. Its what this game NEEDS the most! I hope Nintendo catches on.
Of all the "what I want in AC Switch" videos I've seen, this one is the most reasonable and realistic. I don't agree with the grass wear, I like making natural paths out of dirt, but I can see why you'd want it gone. Great job man, I especially loved how you showed how each idea could work instead of just explaining it
well you got a few of the things you wanted i think 😂
THE POCKET SPACE THING. I watched the entire thing like “yeah I guess that’d be nice” but that one is a MUST
Being able to hang pictures on walls, choose where you can place your villager houses and the old music
-More slots for designs, letters and pockets!
-Optimizing the sound of the design on the floor (so it sounds like stone when you have stone and you can choose it)
- I AM the mayor so I decide who can live where! Or if the villager are allowed to move in to my town
- You should be able to carry more then just 100000 bells..
- more little secret events (or bring the old secret events back at least)
- You should be able to choose the appearance like in happy hope designer
- more and longer hairstyles
-more skin tones and different hights
- more things to buy on the island (where turtle etc is) or make it able to upgrade this shop
- be able to choose your facial expression for more then 5 sec (like a normal mouth that doesn't smile 24/7 creepy at you xD)
- being able to make your own birthday party we the friends you want
- being able to change the name
- MORE CUTE ANIMALLLLLSS
I know this is much but yeah it goes from most important to less important stuff
The 6 first things should be in AT ALL COST I need this
Edit: I wanna write my parents too xD
