I feel that Johnny is one of the most misunderstood and misrepresented people in social media. It would be so refreshing if people would actually listen the podcast and the entirety of discussions before making their absurd public declarations. The whole reason I love Johnny and Kevin so much is because they're just so real, with huge hearts, deep thoughts, great humor, expansive beauty knowledge, and they just say exactly what they think rather than what may be popular with certain demographics. B & B is my weekly therapy, and I anxiously await the upload every Sunday.

Cool is pink, warm is yellow and neutral is a mix of the too basically :) but I’m sure a lot of people would appreciate seeing the differences 😊

Yes! My struggle is that I'm a rosy cool and my makeup tends to turn orange on me over time. I know proper prep helps, but in the summer when I want to wear less, I'm not sure what to do.

I’d love to see tutorials for the warmer weather makeup. Like what you mean when you are saying color blocking or doing a garage door with a graphic liner. Also color theory videos would be awesome. Like when Johnny was talking about cool tone eyes and needing the right pink so you don’t look dead. I think that’s a very common problem many people have that they are working with colors that fight instead of a cohesive look.
Here I am loving the "garage door" allowance for spring and summer!!
You are my two sweethearts! You are literally the reason I am able to get out of bed and face the world again. I am going through the most difficult time any mother can go through! My dear Johnny and darling Kevin have helped me transition through all the stages of grief and help me smile, help me feel joy once again in one of my favorite passions, makeup and skincare! You both have made me feel so special and the out pouring of love, caring and support from my Beautiful and Bothered family are so appreciated that I seriously have no words! So if anyone wants to say that they are annoyed by Johnny and Kevin’s laughter for me, their laughter is contagious, and I am now about to laugh with them after living with profound sadness for months! Johnny, as a mature woman with oily skin, I strongly recommend the new Paula's Choice sunscreen/primer, and also the Haruharu or Centella sunscreens, both of which are K-beauty. Your skin will thank me. And don't be afraid to start on full-blown tretinoin. Agency Skincare has been a life saver for me. I started using low-grade tretinoin last September and I'm blown away by how much it's improved my skin

I *love* the Bloterrartzi by Beauty Blender. It absorbs sweat *and* oil and has a mirror in the compact as well as 2 flat sponges that don't remove makeup and are sperated by a sanitary sheet and the compact has breathing vents and you wash them easily in warm soapy water like a beauty blender.
As an oily and sweaty person living in Australia, i find it to be a godsend.
Normal blotting papers are ok but these are *so* much better and not as wasteful.

The wet and wild tinted moisturizer is the truth. I have dry skin and also sweat so much, and it's so light while evening my skin out just the amount I want.
I'm 30 minutes in, less is absolutely more. I finally perfected my usual makeup starting with swaping primer with setting/prepping spray (Nyx Oil Control Spray), and as little makeup on my eyes as I can (so oils/sweat doesn't give me raccoon eyes with lines). Very sheer layer of eye primer on the lids (tap/blend with brush to make thin over skin). Contour, bronzer, and blush to marry my face to my eyes (liquid Nyx contour is very lightweight, powders for the rest of the complexion products.) Hint of highlighter on the brightest spots on cheekbone in the light. And a huge brush to pick up a little powder foundation to tap/roll onto places I want to even complexion and control oil (Sephora Collection powder foundation -- very much want to try baked foundation). Finish off with setting spray, and my makeup wears soooo much better for me.
No liquid foundation, very little/no concealer, complimentary eyeshadow colors (opposite to my eye color on the color wheel - grey/blue/hazel eyes with coppery, red shade), pop of bright white shimmer or matte on inner corner for a super youthful effect, hard eyebrown pencil to add hair strokes in bald spots, and a lip stain.
Do you mean that you use the setting spray as your primer, then use it again after your makeup application? I struggle so much with finding primer that works. Thanks a bunch for clarifying for me! ❤
@lesliehatch-herman9325 I *do* use a setting spray as a primer! It works great to control my oils and prep my skin to smooth products over top. I do use an eye primer afterwards when I do my eye makeup because I have VERY oily eyelids.

Y'all there is a reason k-beauty is obsessed with deep hydration (esp via toners, essences) and barrier care, because both make a HUGE impact on 30-something signs of aging! Focussing on hydration helps delay fine lines, plump up existing ones, helps the skin retain moisture better, and improves natural skin cell turnover.
I highly recommend the following products for dehydrated skin:

- Neogen Surmedic Soothing Peptide Ampoule

- Glow Recipe Pore Tight Toner
I think y'all's skincare routines tend to be more focused on retinol and exfoliating which are great but can really dry the skin out, even the nicest products. Highly recommend adding multiple hydration layers to your routines especially at night!

Naturium has one that is thin thin thin and is wonderful for SPF. Peach Slices, which is a Korean skincare brand has their snail mucin line and all of there products are wonderful and affordable. They also have a line of oil control and matte of serums, cleansers and moisturizers. It has quite literally been a game changer for my makeup to control my oils. I’m blown away.

When you laugh, we laugh...it is so nice to have levity while learning about makeup and skin care, "the tea" in the beauty world, finding all about products and what are good and what are not. I was an acne-prone teenager in the 70's. I think I used Rubbing Alcohol most nights to wash my face and remove my makeup. I know... crazy but true. We were the same group that slathered our bodies with Baby Oil (enhanced with Iodine) and broiled ourselves in the sun. We weren't very smart about skin care but we sure were fun! 😂 ❤
