I heard about Ancient Bards some years ago, but I never put much attention to them... but when they released this video, I really liked it and I started listening to all their music and I discovered they are a very interesting band... one of my favorite female fronted metal band right now indeed, and even more, because I always enjoyed power metal in general and Ancient Bards is a great representative.

Excellent song, Ancient Bards! I too have also never been so glad to get an ad on youtube. It introduced me to this mind-blowing band/song last night. Now I just checked out about 4-5 of their older releases; I liked all of them too but this is probably my fav so far. That's good, it could mean they're on the rise!

So far I knew Sara's voice only from Ayreon's "The Theory of Everything", now I know her band is also worth checking out... Amazing work with The Girl's part, by the way, her belting is superb!
The Ancient Bards are one of those bands you cannot judge by likes alone. They have earned my respect and loyalty many times over, there is other bands who are the same and then others who i respect also but are not in the same league with more likes. They are not the first band i have followed who wanted to be known for their own music.

Sara, wow! She looks amazing, and this song is awesome! Bass solo, followed by guitar solo, followed by keyboard solo! What? No love for the drummer? Hope there's more harsh vox on the rest of the album as well, adds a cool dynamic to the classic AB sound.

My first impressions. The start of the song got me into it but for some reason i doubted the singing would equal the music. When she started singing it wasn't what i expected but wasnt bad either. Told myself "hmm i can work with that". Then harsh vocals kicked in and i was almost sold cause the 2 voices fitted with each other. Final point that convinced me was that im a sucker for a chorus. Great recommendation from youtube.

I'm so mad with me right now because I consider myself a fan of Ancient Bards but it took me 6 months to realice they already released their latest album. From the first listen, this freaking rocks so much. I'm buying this right now, can't wait a second to hear the rest of the album.
And honestly I've always wondered why the f"#%@k Ancient Bards aren't that popular, at least in their genre, I mean this band is superior to a lot of symphonic popular bands right know but I feel they are super underrated. I have to agree with you there, look it at Epica. It has a lot of Dimension to the song another song that has a lot of Dimension is by sirenia Called Love is Like cyanide, it has the female, a little bit of The Growler, and email guest vocalist. Sounds great in case you haven't heard it.

Yeah, they say that a lot about Epica too and it's the same deal. For me when I first heard it it was a little weird, growls in general were something I'd never really heard before. But it's part of the sound and if you don't appreciate it then you're not here for this band or their sound, but wanting them to fit what you want to hear instead. Which to me seems pointless and honestly a bit shallow. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I would have liked a different approach. I didn't like how the song changed tempo and rhythm. It felt like they randomly spliced another song in this one. But I don't dislike the idea of it.
