Damn these guys lasted longer than the dwemer
Because at some point Bethesda realized that they don't want to model all of these other people if they do something in these provinces. These guys, the Imga...
@@colbyboucher6391 Imga are canonically only in the High and Wood Elven provinces anyway, and left Cyrodiil after the Ayleids got wiped. They hate humans so much, it's too bad we don't get that bit of crazy racism from NPCs at least😂
@@thisistherevolt Yeah, I thought I remembered it being mentioned that they disappeared entirely, but I think I was messing that up with Falentesi going quiet (which, again, Bethesda does NOT want to ever deal with a walking tree city)
I like the idea of meeting a hidden enclave of Lilmothiit survivors in ES6.
Maybe the Lilmothiit originate from Akavir? As we know, Akavir is home to multiple beast like races such as the Tang mo and the Ka po tun. So I wonder if it's possible that the first lilmothiit sailed across the sea to Tamriel. This could possibly be the reason for there to be such little info on them.
That would explain why lilmoth is a coastal town and extensive trade through that port. And since they are vulpine-like humanoids, it would be likely
Pretty much my headcanon. Also, their style of clothing has a big Akaviri vibe to it.
@@yokai333 Lilmoth being a coastal town can easily be explained away by the fact that the interior of Black Marsh is deadly to non-Argonians too.
and their dress looks very akaviri too
I admire your dedication to accuracy.
LOVE the Lilmothiit concept art. Very "samurai/ronin".
Black Marsh is so fascinating. Wish there was more lore on the Kothringi. Dang plagues and sentient trees.
That is indeed interesting concept art. It has a bit of an eastern look to it alongside the tribal nomad aspect mentioned in the video.
It would have been fun unearthing one or two relics, speculated to have originated from the Lilmothiit.
Also makes me question, like you said, if they had a special ethiquet or believe that made them go a harmonic way of non-combat towards other sentient races. If this were true, we would have lost a complete race of peaceful nomads ,who seem to care greatly for their own families to a point where they rather run from a fight than to die and leave behind a broken family.
Just gonna say it : We need more Lilmothiit lore ;-;
While I doubt a playable race would ever be possible in a future game, possibly seeing, hearing about or meeting one live in the next game thats like a peaceful nomad would be pretty cool. I doubt even that would come about but still someone can hope
Reminds me of an Elder Scrolls fanfic that I had started where one of the quests is to bring the Lilmothet back to Tamriel. Essentially the Lilmothet had begun exploring with pocket realms in oblivion. When the Knahatan Flu broke out, most of the race went into a pocket realm carved out from Pyraite’s realm and settled down there, keeping themselves hidden with powerful illusion magic.
Might be coping here but at first we thought the snow elves went extinct but we've met two members of the race, so maybe there are some remaining lilmothiit somewhere we could meet in a black marsh game.
The Falmer are Snow Elves bro we've met plenty
@@yvngvuduThe falmer originate from snow elves, but it's pretty clear that the falmer are very much different from the original snow elves
Drop everything you are doing and make a video on Volenfell next
I never got a passionate comment like this. I will do as you say, stranger!
We got lilmothiit wheres bigmothiit?
I got your bigmithiit right here 😁
I don't get it.
Something I love about the Elder Scrolls is how much lore there is hidden away. I guess that's also a benefit of it being a thing for many years now.
What a shame they died out. They would have been amazing to have a playable race.
And unlike the Snow Elf's it would have be harder to bring them back without time travel.
Tbh, both could be explained away as returning with "some survived in X island that has not been touched in Y number of years".
@@saalok Or they are originally from Akavir and there's a ton of them on the continent
It’s too bad these went extinct. Hopefully, they get brought back in the future game, or someone makes a cool mod about them.
Just checked and there’s a playable race mod for them.
@shreksnow1918 Yeah, there's a few mods for Skyrim, and I think there's at least one for Oblivion. I'm not sure about Morrowind, though.
The only way to play as them would be is if we got a game before the flu, maybe during the reman empire. Also being able to play as the yespest, kothringi, horwalli, and orma would be cool too
I would only ever talk to a stormcloak over their dead body
Wish they kept this unique race..
Same with the snow elves they were my favorite elf and I was sad learning about their fates..
In my imagination, playing as a Lilmothiit would be like:
++one handed (long blade)
++strength
++alchemy
++mysticism
++unarmed
+speed
+acrobatics
+smithing
+light armor
+alteration
+enchantment
Immunity to poison
(-)-restoration
(-)speechcraft since they did not try to become known outside of black marsh
(-)-block
(-)-archery
-heavy armor
-blunt weapons
-destruction
-conjuration
-thaumaturgy because they went extinct
+25% weakness to disease (self-explanatory)
Overall, it seems that the Lilmothiit were a peaceful culture that did not prefer to go to war, but trained defensively with long blades, spears, and martial arts, adapting the former two skills from hunting for combat. The Lilmothiit would not be good at restoration, preferring to use their natural environment to make potions or poisons if need be. Since they are described as nomadic, I imagine them having a mystic and extremely metaphorical, metaphysical culture due to being so insular along with being nomadic. This is why I gave them a huge boost to mysticism and alteration. Also, since it seems they have blind warriors, maybe they use mystic sight to fight. Since they are not described as a warlike people, I gave them a minus to destruction. I gave them a minus to block because they are not pictured with shields. I don’t imagine they had different furstocks, which could have been another factor in their extinction, and why the Khajiit survived. Maybe less diversity made them die out along with a limited range and not really existing outside of black marsh. I think they would be a very fun race to play as. I can imagine a group of them in a hut, maybe doing a ritualistic enchantment, I can imagine they are very good enchanters and have a voodoo-like way of enchanting items different from the rest of Tamriel. They are arguably the most alien race on Tamriel since basically nothing is known about them
I'll have to disagree with you on the archery stats since archery is a major component in hunting game.
Seriously, bow hunting is a thing.
@@26th_Primarch if all you disagree with would be the archery, then I would say I did a pretty good job, and my reasoning for this would be to make Dunmer and Argonians the main archery races, considering they both have an assassin culture. Plus the Lilmothiit official cover art only shows swords and spears, and they look pretty jacked, which is why I also gave them a boost to strength. Let’s say the game is in first era/pre flu second era black marsh. My 10 playable races for the game would be:
1: Argonian (obviously)
2. Dunmer, NPCs mainly in the north and cities of black marsh, but would also appear as random encounters as slavers taking Argonians as slaves, where you can choose to free them or not
3. Lilmothiit
4. Orc, since they are destined to be spread out across the provinces
5. Orma
6. Kothringi
7. Khajiit, since they live along the southern coast of Tamriel, but would only be as NPCs in the coastal cities of black marsh or being trafficked as slaves by Dunmer.
8. Imperial, since they are in every province but would mainly be in the Blackwood region since it borders Cyrodiil, and I imagine the imperials the would be living there wouldn’t be very happy
9. Altmer, since they too like the imperials are in nearly every province as mages at minimum.
10. Yespest/Horwalli, either one, but we basically know nothing about them so it’s not known what they are like. The orma are described as blind and mystic, so would be the opposite mages to the altmer, the dummer would be the prototypical spellsword or archer build, Argonians would be medium armored warriors, orcs would be heavy armored warriors, and Lilmothiit would be a light armored nomadic warrior class. I’m amusing the Kothringi would play as mages as well since they don’t wear armor, and would probably play like Bretons. The imperials, of course, would be the jack of all trades they always are.
I would assume their would also be Ayleid ruins in the border region with Cyrodiil, since Ayleid that disagreed with Daedra worship fled to black marsh and high rock mainly
If they were playable race I would say they would have bonus in archery, alchemy, light armor and sneak
I wish Bethesda would include a lot more of the strange/esoteric lore in the next Elder Scrolls. But I don't have any expectations/hope for TES6 what so ever... Don't want to be dissapointed.
Nice work!
I play a lilmonthiit in my skyrim gameplay he wear a heavy crusader armor the crusablade (the 2 handed one) he use healing magic the reason behind that its because its because in skyrim many people have weapon and the dragon he wouldn't resist whit a light armor, the 2 handed sword his because i used a 2 handed sword at the start of the game and i like it and the healing magic simple it make me save on healing potion
They should do a time travel dlc and add them to ESO
Anyone noticed that the lilmothiit outfit looks like the 'honorguard' outfit?
Such an interesting bunch
Pelinal probably seen pointed ears and decided genocide.
The southern parts of Tamriel would be paradise for furries.
i never forgot them after i had lurn of them
Most people when they discover the Lilmothiit: Eww, Furries!
Meanwhile, the Khajiit: Bruh...
Shame they went extinct, now we will never know what does the fox say
What did the fox say
I think they just ran away from Tamriel. 🤷
👍👍
So furrys are canon to elder scrolls?
They have been since the beginning you sperg. What do you think the Khajiit are?😂🐱
Always have been
what do you think Khajiit are?
So what's mysterious here? Seems pretty obvious to me😂
Duh
O w O???
U w U
Average pp size for every race?
