Tamriel wouldn't have such a bandit problem if Uriel wasn't constantly releasing prisoners because he had a dream about heroes.
Thank Talos he never released Valen Dreth
I was born 87 years ago.
For 65 years I've ruled as Tamriel's emperor. But for all these years, I've never been the ruler of my own dreams. I have seen the gates of Oblivion, beyond which no waking eye may see. Behold, in darkness a doom sweeps the land. This is the 27th of Last Seed, the year of Akatosh, 433. These are the closing days of the 3rd Era...and the final hours of my life
Uriel Septim VII is both quite the impressive and tragic figure.
Imagine how different Tamriel would have been if he was not repeatedly interrupted in his unification policies.
in a sense, he IS the elder scrolls main caracther. the amount of lore and adventure he has is enough to fill the lifetime of SEVERAL emperors :D
probebly one of the most importand videos you could have made tbh
Perfect timing, my DnD campaign is taking place during an alternate timeline of the oblivion crisis and I just had the mythic dawn kill the emporer and his heirs. This will be great if my players start digging into this plotline and want to learn about the history of the Emporer.
Hey that guy’s also in Daggerfall
Daggerfall ist elder scrolls 2
The MARBLE DRAWERS of Oblivion.
I want a Cadwell video! History of his life plus interactions with the vestige
I think the Nerevarine was released because their birthday/what song they were born under is what made them part of the prophecy?
well appearently uriel was a realy good astrologist which allowed him too glimps into the future, which he could have used too forsee the nevevarines rise
Can we get a video over the Komal invasion of Skyrim? :)
So he was the emperor up until Skyrim, emperor even when Martin fulfilled prophecy of safeguarding Cyrodiil. Skyrim started the elder Scrolls being the central narrator and most important to the series continuum. When it comes to a close I desire that we can explore the whole world of the Elder Scrolls.
Skyrim was 200 years after his death. The Mede dinasty that followed the Septims had no dragonblood. And to be honest I had loved to claim the imperial throne as a dragonborn in TES 5 Skyrim! Had they just released a real expansion going back to Cyrodiil!
Without him we wouldnt have Skyrim. He guaranteed that the last Dragonborn prophecy would happen. Plus our home boy Martin.
Emperor Uriel VII reminds me of David Attenborough for some reason
good Video my friend!
With Morrowind, it's apparent that the Nerevarine may not have been a true "Chosen One," you just acted like it for long enough that the Elder Scrolls figured, "Meh, good enough."
You meet several other failed Nerevarines at one point in the story. It's pretty interesting how the game tears down the concepts of prophecies and chosen ones. They were clearly fans of Dune.
you didnt tell the names of the people he had affairs with in order not to spoil daggerfalls story right?
becouse 1/3th of the main quest in daggerfall is finding the emperors smut and it would have been fun too see where those ended up :P
Tbh I feel like he probably slept around in most of Tamriel especially in his younger years so I think there are far more mistresses around tamriel than we know. Perhaps even more bastard sons (unlikely considering oblivion, but its possible someone hid a bastard from the emperor and the blades, again, unlikely, but possible)
@@ImperialKnowledge free claims to the throne for everyone! :D

"I am the Dragonborn"
"I! Am the Dragonborn!"
"And I'm Dragonborn"
still of the line of a wc, we mer do not need your empire to rule ourselves. we just don't need or want the thalmor to rule us either. - Leafblade in Exile
Well was it not the dragon blood that offered him the visions of the future?
8:58 TRT? Frost troll testosterone haha
Best Emperor ever!
I know its been 4 years now but do you know what happened to lady of scrolls?, i was wondering if she just stop doing youtube or did something happen to her, regardless i hope shes ok and doing well
I have no idea, and also hope she is okay and well. Last time I spoke to her (2-3 years ago) she was doing fine, just burnt out on YT. But since then she also dissapeared for me.
Isn't it that when a dragon dies his soul stays in his body unless a Dragonborn is nearby, what would that make of Uriel Septim VII when he dies?
I liked bald Uriel VII
I think he lost his hair after Arena, showed up to that private meeting how he actually looks, then wears a wig for public appearances
You know, odd bit about "Justine". It's Tamriel. It's a highly magical world filled with all manner of Ghosts, Daedra, disembodied voices that can whisper to you, invisibility, etc, etc, etc.
... how can one be sure Justine was in fact Imaginary? Particularly for a figure who got known for having prophetic dreams and farsight and all that?
Toad would fight and die for emperor Uriel Septim IIV
