Stay 1 minute from Cedar Point Property for cheap! Baymont Inn and Suites

- This hotel has some issues, but it also has a fantastic location just at the end of Cedar Point Drive and down the road from Castaway Bay.
It was a fantastic price and... well... let's discuss all the rest.
Let me know down in the comments if this is a place where you would want to stay.
Baymont is not cheap!! It is definitely on the three star tier, with all the standard amenities, unlike somewhere like Wolf Inn.
I've stayed at the Baymont in Sandusky right there with 2 different girlfriends a total of 8 nights of stay at that Baymont. It's more motel than hotel, technically, but we always requested upper floor rooms. This is actually quite a solid Wyndham motel/hotel, before I became a platinum Diamond Choice Hotels member.
These days I'd probably only stay at a choice hotel like Quality/Comfort/Clarion etc because I get member perks, but I never had a problem with that Baymont.
The Wolf Inn with Marissa was an adventure but we appreciated that for what it was, too.
Staying in your car at Meijer is the "one-star" experience.
I've done it all, and more.

I always stay at the Sandusky Inn! I love how close it is to the park and how cheap it is during the week. I can't believe you found someone's THC dab pen! Being from Michigan, I'm very familiar with what those look like lmao.

We stayed there monday-thursday night this week for our first trip to Cedar Point. I actually see my car below your window during the video, How Cool! Thank you for all the guides it really helped us prepare for the trip!!

Try Quality Inn. Loud air conditioner, trains going by all night. Hated it last weekend. But the room was decent. And must say, I really enjoy your videos, thank you

This hotel seems a little sketchy, for many reasons, but notably the outdoor room access, 2.5 star rating, and pen of whatever that was in the room. Kinda seems unsafe to me. Maybe it’s just my anxiety talking but honestly I’d just rather spend the money on going to hotel breakers or something than here.
i myself never stay at a place with outdoor entrance to your room. Always like the holiday inn express style of indoor access to you room. Call me a snob .
Not a snob. That’s why I make these videos. Anyone with any taste in hotels can find a video that might either appeal or REALLY REALLY NOT appeal to them.
We stayed at Cedar Cove right across from Thirsty Pony. Wasn’t too bad, actually.
That hotel used to be a Comfort inn a few years ago.
I'll be out in about 2 weeks can't wait!!!!! Staying in port Clinton so we can fish a day or 2 but thinking of getting a night at breakers

I’m confused. There are these videos basically saying that Top Thrill Dragster will reopen next year, and I want to believe it will happen, but I don’t want to be disappointed if they announce the worst. I have a strong feeling that Dragster will be torn down and I want to be wrong about it, but I don’t know the truth. I’m scared and I’m confused. What are your thoughts?
Don't worry about what you can't control. It will shorten your life span. You'll feel better when you've lived long enough to have grand children ask you, "what was Top Thrill Dragster like?" but worrying won't get you to that point
I think it will stay, but there are underground utility markings on the ground all around it,. So in some capacity, I think it will be different. Maybe as little as a rerouted queue, or possibly as much as a new launch mechanism, but it's not for us to determine. One thing I would suggest is to imagine how they could change it or replace it, that you think would be an improvement. Dream big. Realistically knowing that they wouldn't possibly spend the money to do all you imagined may allow you to accept any changes they do make, even if it a slower launch, or not as fast. On the other hand they may make some changes that you do prefer, like a more reliable ride system will likely allow it to be down less, giving more opportunities to ride.
