With the markings on the steel all over the new paint of the top hat make no mistake since I have been following this almost daily since it went down it’s not just the trains. I will circle back in a second. I was at the park like normal yesterday entered the park 9 minutes after the announcement for the evening. The signs were up saying TT2 is down for the day 6:01 pm, then at 8:04 pm new signs up with QR codes TT2 will not open for 2024 and left it at that with a QR code (I took a picture of all this). But nowhere in the park or media announcement does it specifically state on purpose that TT2 will open even in 2025. Okay so now circling back to as I and so major players in this have concluded such as ElToro. Cedar Point is considered in the rear end of all new track with the new spike. After the midway point that is all 2002 steel that was welded together. The ride from there while the rains are lighter they are actually taller and other factors. It it has caused stress cracks as recent as 2 weeks ago on the prototype assembly trains and the track itself is not wanting to accept these new trains…. This being said beyond a shadow of a doubt the following of one will now take place. The 42% percent of TT2 which is just painted steel from Intamin from 2002 will be completely replaced meaning the old top hat to hopefully better align with the trains once they get that piece solved but going back to the top hat seeing all the marking the cranes recently looking at the top hat at more yes Intamin will be called in or Zamperla at there cost will fix this disaster. We found out 2 days ago that Intamin did in fact put out the first bid to fix dragster and reimagine it. After tons of discussion and private digging we found out Intamin wanted to take down the Iron Dragon because they wanted to make it longer and plus the bill was very large so instead they went with Zamperla who they had build the mouse ride and enter a small 5 year agreement. Well the agreement is most certainly shattered. Who they will go with I have an idea but I will wait till November to see who they bring on site, I think the layout might change slightly. It is my hope that this does not mess with the very large 2027 coaster they plan on building and slowly clearing the land for it (I won’t say where but its just say in an interesting spot according to satellite clearing of the spot. Going back to TT2, they will face multiple legal challenges which they might challenge. Keep in mind though cedar point has now officially merged with six flags and has 72 parks and a huge cash flow and assets so to speak so it’s possible as the last resort they could make way for a giga coaster as they should have done in the first place. But stay tuned. My bet…. Zamperla fixes the trains, Intamin comes in replaces the remaining half of the track. Cedar Point will eat then some of this cost and they will try one last time to make this work if not they will without a doubt take the ride down. The previous ceo from 1972 to 2012 said this ride was his biggest mistake of his life and now the newer ceo is feeling the burn. It’s all up for grabs right now just some more than others as the outcome. Someone will pay dearly for this year no doubt, but even 2025 is still in the air… stay tuned.

Dragster was a maintenance nightmare for 18 years and Kingda Ka is still. Both of them had major mechanical failures we need to stop acting like Intimin didn’t mess up either. They were going to do something to it anyway but the accident was the final straw

TT2.5 in 2025. I saw that in a Facebook group and thought that was funny. Someone also posted a picture of TT2 with a spirit Halloween sign on it. 😂

It has me thinking though, with it being pushed back without an opening, doubts of safety and that it'll actually be staying open....Are guests even going to care when it does open? I was frustrated for a month and then when I got there, I completely forgot it even existed.

I want Zamperla fired. Tony Clark even. People saw this coming from miles away. Not just from a mile aways. Miles. This is one of the biggest engineering disasters in modern times.

Wonder if the Six Flags merger effected the progress of TT2? Not sure how much input/interference they would have at this early point.

I personally think this ride is done all together! Right after the accident cedar point should've pitched TTD. It's very draining this entire situation and in all honesty I don't care if it opens or doesn't! I'm over it 🤣🤣🤣🤣

We buy all season Fastlane every year. No I don't think anybody deserves any kind of refund because of saying you could do multiple rides on Top Thrill ii. I don't expect any kind of refund it's only one ride it was listed as a perk but it was not the essence of buying all season Fastlane

I bought the fast lane for all parks all year partly because of TT2. I only visited Cedar Point once. So basically, my one-time riding TT2 was a $200 ride when you think about I would have only had fast lane for Kings Island if I would have just bought what I had last year.

I said it when the rumors started swirling about CP repurposing Dragster that it was a big fat mistake 😁😁😁 Who's got two thumbs 👍 👍 and was right..... THIS GUY. I'm sorry but it's 2024 and CP biggest movement in the last 6 years has been adding restaurants... CP has been pretty boo boo in the last decade to be honest... $200 for fast lane passes are a joke. I miss the CP in early 2000's

I have to be the unluckiest person in the world. I went to the park one day too late. I checked in at the Breakers on May 11th and was told that TT2 wasn't going to be open for the day. I was disappointed because I bought a thousand-dollar fast lane plus season pass, expecting to use it. However, I only bought it because I found out that the daily fast lane plus only gets you one ride on TT2. I still used the fast lane pass this season, but I won't buy another season fast lane again.

Cp started offering the gold season pass, and with all that extra foot traffic and riders, i feel like they didn't anticipate the additional wear and tear on all the rides and shit just breaking down all the time niw.

CP been going downhill the last 10y or so fr. Started w the boo necklaces i feel like lol.

Part of the problem is instead of retracking the whole ride they combined new and old track which the new trains were to heavy for the old portions

I hope for 2025 they add large in park improvements like new shows and food stands, otherwise there’s nothing technically new for 2025

if Cedar Point doesn't willingly refund the fast lane plus money they could have a class action lawsuit on their hands, much in the same way that Kennywood had with Steel Curtain. As far as Intamin being a better choice, go watch El Toro Ryan's video. He states that CP approached Intamin first and their plan was to remove Iron Dragon in order to extend the layout of Dragster. CP obviously didn't want to do that and when they asked Intamin to try again, they just dragged their feet so CP went looking to other manufacturers. Ryan also stated that this project was rather expensive for Cedar Point so anyone saying that CP went with the cheapest option is full of crap. I tend to trust what he has to say because he is an engineer by trade and he does seem to have some well placed little birdies in the industry

Smh the trains were designed wrong for the track. They have tried changing wheels and everything but can't make their trains safe for Intamin track 🙄

I wouldn't actually blame Zamperla for this, but rather Cedar Point. Cedar Point wanted Zamperla to work on a project that was MUCH bigger then anything they have worked on, therefor, many flaws in the ride would be expected.

I'm kind of nerdy and I have been paying attention to the operations of Valravn all summer. I've been going on Sundays during the main season and Valravn has been 90 minutes every time. they also have been stacking trains on the brake run every time. this past week, the first week that school was back in session I went up on Wednesday and Thursday. 30 minutes for Valravn and they were rolling trains out of the station as soon as the one on the track exited the mid course. no trains stacked on the brake run at all. I wonder if they were slowing down operations during the busiest time so they could sell more fast lane plus. they are clearly capable of rolling trains but can't seem to do it when it's really busy?

Chuck again, now that Top Thrill 2 is officially closed for 2024 can we please get details on what's wrong with this ride.

Prediction: there will never be another human rider on TT2. Completely flawed design. They'll have to tear it down and rebuild it ground up. CP ain't about ready to do that.

the Immelman on Gatekeeper made me motion sick on the left side of the train but not on the right. the right side just feels unhinged. the only time I really got ill at an amusement park was at Geauga Lake and it was hot and humid out. I was on a date with a guy who loved coasters and he wanted to re-ride each one like 3 times in a row which wasn't a problem until we got to Dominator. it was only a station wait for it and our second go around it was like a one train wait. Let's just say you should not ride anything named Dominator in short succession. I got so ill that it took every ounce of my will power to not vomit all over my date. we ended up going to watch a show which 1. was air conditioned and 2. was dark in the theater so I was able to sort of calm down my motion sickness

I forgot to mention, where we spoke it the RGS was ground zero for when I started recording shows in ‘06. I'll finish that thought(s)... I get my lengthy thought process from Internet forums on specific topics. One thought leads to another. I would think they’re interesting enough. More than I went to Cedar Point what do you think will happen with TT2 lol That spot was where I met the Aunt in ‘07 of the performer/choreographer I mentioned. We found out her sister went to school with my cousin, and they still know her, and their Dad was a longtime mayor who my grandpa knew since he bowled with his brother/her uncle.They’re in a local bowling Hall of Fame together. I showed her team bowling photos from back in the day, she said she didn’t know him from bowling it was parades. I only met the performer/choreographer once when her Aunt asked me to take their picture in the RGS near the bar. Her mom sat down next to me once. She said her daughter was in the show lol She said her bustle part of her costume fell off the velcro didn’t hold, which is rare. She performed with her brother one season. She wore spiked heels and looked like she almost poked one of the guy’s eye out in front of the stage with a back leg kick. She tossed a drum stick at the drummer from back stage in ‘07 that might be in a video. She’s the tall blonde in the 'Here I Go Again Edge of Madness ‘11' video. you can hear how the smaller girl can belt that song. A range that a guy can’t go. It was shot with a Canon PowerShot but the audio is good. I didn’t have a camcorder at the time. It has unique feel to it. Her aunt said in photos and video I captured the spirit of the thing. I said that’s exactly what I try to do. I took good DSLR photos back then. When it had a lens hood on it people thought they were going to be on the cover of a magazine. It ended up being practical when I lost the lens cap so it protected it. The guy who goes to Kings Dominion wears his season pass on a lanyard, which I think it makes it look like it’s a press pass to the performers who don’t know him or what it is. The first time performers reacted to my monopod. I had a hot car once. There is such a thing as a chick magnet. People’s perceptions are interesting. btw the guy who played Manson is in the '20 Red Garter Empty /' 21 Fangtastics and Fangtastics Preview Show '21. They usually have Red Garter Saloon (RGS )shows the week prior to HalloWeekends kind of a dress rehearsal. The original Manson and Lilith was 'Swell Tones second cast '22' also had a guy who came back from '19. Normally, I say I 'm ready for HalloWeekends, but I'm ready to take a break. still have to upload Summer videos that will total about 28-30. The most thru an entire season was 37 in '23 incl the '08 Backstage but not counting ones I didn't upload. That got me a free small pizza from Dominoes via a phone call to India lol There's a story they used to have 30 min or less, a kid zoomed out of the parking lot, got into a fender bender, the manager ran out and grabbed the pizzas. funny but not because there was a wreck.
