Halloweekends is one of my favorite times of year. From the entertainment to the haunted houses to the scare zones and the screamsters, each part is fantastic.
And that's to say nothing of the rides, the food, the drinks or the family friendly daytime entertainment.
so... we're gonna talk about everything I know and have experienced in past years from this event. I want you to be prepared for your visit and (as a matter of fact) thats kinda the point of this channel, so you should subscribe!

What I know about HalloWeekends ‘24
Part One
They’ve had CPHW open til Nov 1st before.
Officially all of the houses and zones will be the same. The Screamster Manager recruiter with the long hair is a bungee jumper in Blood on the Bayou. He’s been there for over 15 seasons. (each season they have a lot of Screasmster turnover). He gets to walk thru it alone before it opens each night. He said that the Screamsters time clock is outside of the Red Garter’s back door. The performers run out that door to go up the stairs on the outside to the dressing room so they tend to run into each other. That’s one place I didn’t go backstage (sidenote I have videos and photos the performers shot in ‘06. The guitar player was playing Nintendo. They were licking rows of alkaline batteries lol I wish I could upload it but it’s not my video).
Mr. Midnight is back. Not sure about the actor (he was one of a number of the recent performers who acted in Forbidden Frontier) He was watching the final Pep Rally. I don’t know if he’ll be the actor since he’s management of some sort. My friend sat with a former performers and him at Class 99. The one time they let management perform is the lady who’s still management Lisa J. (they name dropped her in the Class of 99 Pre-show Homeroom PA Announcements) in my Backstage and Monsters Rock! ‘07. The regular girl was still performing on a cruise ship. Lisa J. did it for a week or two since she choreographed the show, so that video is a rare performance. She has a management Tombstone seen in the Witch Sisters ‘23 video. It used to be by the kettle corn they set up by Auntie Anne’s. Another one who performed in Monsters Rock! ‘05-07 choreos some of the shows like Boneyard Battleground ‘19 and Class of 99 (I know her Aunt. Her mom directed the first season of Forbidden Frontier and went to high school with my cousin)
The Frontier Trail won’t be a Screamster zone anymore since it’s a log jam on Saturdays. But glorious fog always!
The Slaughterhouse Maze is next to the Barnyard Petting Farm (get it lol) the Farm is leased to a Farm in Kentucky. The camels are Samson and King Arthur.
I found a picture of what The Witch Sister’s cabin looks like inside it’s rather detailed with props you can see some thru the window. It has a fireplace but that’s blocked off from the Jail cell. I have a video clip of the cell when it was inadvertently left open this Summer I haven’t uploaded yet. It had a sheet music stand and cooler.
Watch my Tell-Tale Heart and Black Cat videos and see how good those guys were in’06-’08. I still know them. The Glassblower’s kiln was damaged so it has to be replaced by Labor Day.
The pirate ship is only there for Cut Throat Cove. CTC used to be Terror Island where Blood on the Bayou is but you entered & exited on pontoon bridges from the boat ride side. (I’ve seen the production video with the theme song of the Pre-show Snake River Expedition ride. I think Alex wrote the catchy song).
Can't wait for Halloweekends! I hope they have shows still at Lusty Lils and bring back shows Jack Aldrich this year.

When we went in early May, snoopy land wasn’t open. Does it stay open for Halloweekends?
It depends on which one you're talking about . Sometimes, I've found that planet snoopy closes in lieu of kiddie kingdom and camp snoopy stays open.
It depends on a variety of factors though.
Almost always, one of them is open. usually, they keep open camp snoopy though because it's the one with the kiddie coasters.

Great preview video as always! I like how the park has been putting bands on top of the shipping crate bars. Just wondering if you have any information as to why Midnight Syndicate is not returning. I know that they were associated with HalloWeekends for over 25 years, commonly had their show in the Jack Aldrich Theatre, moved to Celebration Stage last year, and then announced it's over earlier this year. It seemed sudden and a shame that this relationship ended, as Midnight Syndicate's show and vibe was a perfect fit for HalloWeekends.
@@jefffargo-fargoracing3163 I think midnight syndicate decided not to return because it wasn’t beneficial for them anymore. I think they enjoyed being used inside jack aldrich and cedar point wants them outside at the main stage.
To be fair, that show did not NEED midnight syndicate. They were merely a side note in that show. Where, in the jack aldrich theatre, they were much more important to the entire experience.
My teens can’t wait to get out there!

Cedar point needs to step up their game for Halloweekends. The houses were much better in the late 90's early 2000's.
The houses have barely changed over the past 10 or so years. The best part are the scare zones.
Thursdays are are OK in theory but you sacrifice like 7 hours. And while you can argue less people I'd argue the last 2 hours on any night can be spent hitting any heavy lined ride.
Also if you plan on buying a meal pass it barely pays for itself on a Thursday vs. a Friday.
Raptors been a walk on at night since 2002, Millenniums line dwindles to a 25 minute wait come 10 o clock and rides like Gate keeper and Valraven become non existent due to the front of the park capacity and everyone being in the back of the park.
I've only been to CP 10 times in my life but nothings changed in terms of how to work the park on a busy day. 1-2pm is congested regardless but if you use this time to eat and hit less popular rides you're good.
Part Two
Unofficially from someone else who knows performers “I shouldn’t tell you” but they do anyway. Joy won’t be back, but Baby (I knew she wrapped up a rock themed show at Busch Gardens) and Uncle Buzz actors will (he’s here I think he drew the SeaGals on their StageFloat). Therefore presumably unofficially Wake the Dead. If so not sure about Lilith you would think and hope so. I would think Principal Jessica will be Purple Witch. My Class 99 joke is “Gasoline not included.”
Fangs you know at least one who will return. The first performer to wear vampire fangs, contacts and costume on his own is a performer named Frank in the Fall to Pieces ‘06, ‘07, ‘16 video. He did the backstage video I mentioned.
The RGS show used to be called Monsters Rock! then Edge of Madness with a different Subtitle each season such as Still Crazy. But then a mental health advocate group complained about the maze in the back (now Freak Show) being an Insane asylum. So they changed the name to Eternity Infirmary and made it a hospital theme….with a rubber room wall still at the end. They also changed the name & theme of the RGS show so they chose the non-offensive Vampire theme. However, I am writing a strongly-worded letter to Cedar Fair I do not care to see a gentleman in a mesh shirt lol They used to have the Snoopy Surfing show in the Jack Aldrich the guys wore swim trunks and no shirts. It made me uncomfortable lol
That’s all I know Officially-told/Knew and Unofficially. Otherwise I like to be surprised. Oftentimes it’s hard to tell who’s who in makeup and wigs.

@@notyournormalg1 I can appreciate people who work out and eat healthy no doubt. I'm just not into guys although I watch sports so that doesn't make sense lol I've seen the sketches for most of last seasons HalloWeekends costumes. The shoulder pauldron is Roman Galiator-esque. I don't think he wore a shirt at all at ScaroWinds performing on a shipping container bandstand like they have here. Unless you count a guitar strap lol
I think the girls are very clothed though.
So now my stream of consciousness thinks about the topic thru the years...
The least costuming I've seen females wear is Pep Rally '20-'21 no tights and bare midriffs cheerleader costumes. When the dancers were more variety of shapes and sizes they did away with that.
Kings Island Hot Island rhythms a girl had a belly ring she was the lead in Dead Awaking come to think of it. A girl in '10 CP Lusty Lils Country show had a hole they wouldn't let her wear it. I don't have a video of that. It was like a Daisy Dukes costume.
A couple CP dancers went to Vegas in topless and pretty much bottomless tastefully done burlesque shows. one of them's a bikini fitness competitor. which honestly I don't think that suits her.
In the Surfin Snoopy show the girls sang the Itsy Bikini song and they were dressed head to toe. I'm thinkin what's wrong with this picture lol When they did that show on main stage it was better fwiw Sidenote The lady who did the Peanuts show in Camp Snoopy for 15+seasons called them "Roasted Peanuts" when they performed in the heat. She always requested a covering for the theatre. When she had to move with her husband's job they finally installed one- dooh
Sexy moves-wise Edge of Madness Sharp Dressed Man '09-'10. I have '09 up you should check out. And to a degree All Wheels Extreme '08 and Vertical Impact '19 Dancers. (one of them was in vegas now a cruise ship doing a pole routine also a go-go dancer in vegas) HalloWeekends (I type CPHW) 'Dance in Boneyard Battleground '19' that the lady who did Class 99 choreo'd. I could picture her doing all the dance moves. She teaches kids dance. Her daughter's a really good competitive dancer. Maybe one day she'll be here.
Originally there were two Lady Popcorns. They do their dance stop right in front of the camera by the arcade in the Spectacular Parade '22 video. They had popcorn buckets on their tops. She didn't for Boardwalk Nights. I don't know if someone complained or if was restricting or the costumer didn't like the idea or both. Cotton Candy's was completely different. It was very interesting seeing The Rally dancers dance completely different especially the Swing Dance, and the SeaGals singing pretty good.
Regardless CP has always had top notch costuming. They let one of the performers design the Red Garter HalloWeekend '13. He had been there a while. For some reason I don't have that up. It was the year Lou Reed died Oct 27 is how I remember it. They did the Aerosmith song Rag Doll with rag dolls which was different from anything they'd done before. A little girl would sit up front with one and mimic it.

@@magicallymatt6358 there is a specific fast lane “fright lane” that you can buy for haunted houses. It will give you one walk through each haunted house. I’ve never gotten that before… do you think I should?
I was also wandering if they were gojng to have the same show at the palace theater or a different one! I absolutely loved the show they had there the last 2 yrs but do understand the need to switch it up, if they do they have some big shoes to fill!
I’m still really bummed that Midnight Syndicate won’t be there this year. I hope they return in the future!
All that being said I can’t wait for Halloweekends and will be there on the 12th for opening night 👻
I'm going to Halloweekend for the first time in September with my son for his 5th birthday then again in October to experience the Adult only section
We're trying to decide on which weekend to come up and spend a few nights at one of the Cedar Point hotels during Hallo/ Haunt... suggestions?
@@nikolehoskinds2011 the earlier, the better the crowds. But the crowds are huge pretty much no matter what.
Try to get one of the days to be a Thursday for the ease of a less attended night.

I would be highly disappointed if there was no Wake The Dead this year
I expect that it will change at some point. I might be disappointed, but I'd just want to know that it was replaced with something equally as creative. Live entertainment has to take risks from time to time, so I'd just be happy if they were branching out and doing different things.
I know Blood Bath is supposed to be a night club but I think it looks more like a haunted strip club. 😂
I mean, it DOES have a red room. lol
