    Is Remmy one of the hardest you have ever had to help? I can't imagine what has been done to her in the past. Bless Devon for her devotion to helping this mare.

    Thank you for educating how time and efford consuming is undoing the harm done by irresponsible people.
    Remi is so lucky to have her lovely owner and horsemanship master as a trainer.
    Thank you for taking us along on this heartwarming journey.

    I really am happy to see her progress. I noticed you were working her right side in this video without her being reactive. It is a pleasure to watch your training videos and how you inately understand what the horse you're working with needs. Wonderful, and thank you for sharing!

    I’m glad you mentioned this is a trainer thing and not a DIY thing. It’s tough when these horses get pretty messed up, it takes tremendous skill and dedication to fix. I really appreciate the work that you and Devon are doing for this mare. Thanks for bringing us along.

    Jake, you're truly a blessing for Remmy and her owner, good things come to those who wait. How does Remmy like her bath? has she ever been swimming?

    • @peartreeranch
      @peartreeranch  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I don’t know about swimming but she likes the pampering. Especially when it’s so hot 🥵

    Man I am so impressed with all the work you have done with remi, she has come along way. I wished I was closer so you could work with my mare, I try to do things that you do, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. 💕🐴 Good job Jake with remi.

    I think a sensitive horse like Remy can become trouble if they are pushed hard and treated rough. Old style training. She has come a very long way, and Devon is committed to giving this mare every chance. Amazing! I am hoping Remy keeps making progress and that her mind "clicks" with realization that her world really is better now! Building that trust.....step by step! Quite the process....and I have enjoyed every video. Great horsemanship.....

    lovely Jake. please can you tell me, I always worry that they might hurt their shoulder with the leg outstretched when getting down. is that true?

    • @peartreeranch
      @peartreeranch  Před 2 měsíci +1

      If you pulled on them, made them fight, I’m sure you could hurt them, but I have horses that stretch harder than that getting grass under a fence on their own. I haven’t had a problem with that. If you go back I talk about using the bare back pad to protect their back from the rope when tying up a foot, that and then kicking the opposite knee are the two things I’ve seen a horse “hurt” themselves when using lie down as a training thing to help a bothered horse. I used the quote marks because they weren’t really hurt or lame just banged or scuffed and they were really bothered horses, and horses that really turned out great in the end. Hope the sharing helped you feel at ease and more aware of some details with this as a training tool.

    I would love to know what could have been done to this horse to make her this way. I have ridden and trained my own horses and I can't even imagine what was done to this pretty girl. BTW I was putting horses on the ground way, way before it was an acceptable practice. I am almost 75, so I have quite an extensive experience. My mom always said I was born saying the word "horse" on my lips😂 Bless you for all the excellent humane resources you employ help our equine friends ❤

    Hi Jake. I'm curious what Remmy's breeding is. If unknown, is the owner thought about doing a DNA test?

  • @forsythia33
    @forsythia33 Před 2 měsíci +2

    It's really remarkable the progress you are making with this horse, and admirable the dedication, but I would just not use her as a riding horse. It seems far too risky, given her rather delicate mentality and her big reactions to new things.

    • @peartreeranch
      @peartreeranch  Před 2 měsíci +2

      It’s a gamble on any of them. So far good progress that gets me thinking she’s gonna make it. Time will tell.
