I don't think honking would make dinosaurs less scary. Sure doesn't make geese less scary.
I wouldn't say that... Ever had a flock of geese running at you while honking? I've had... son, you better run...

They mostly roll intimidation, though. They don't have the mass to back it up in melee. Grab them by the neck and toss.

The T-rex most definitely had wings. Those tiny arms don't even make any sense
“Triceratops might not be a real dinosaur”
The general consensus is that Torosaurus and Triceratops were not the same. The idea came from how the marginocephalian dinosaurs have extremely plastic skull bones that change appearance significantly through life. But there are a number of issues with claiming Torosaurus is an adult Triceratops; the transition wouldn’t match any other ceratopsian, there have been younger Torosaurus discovered with the same basic frill shape as the adult, and there aren’t any fossils of individuals transitioning between the two frill shapes.
“Dinosaurs probably honked like geese”
Listen to the massive variety of bird sounds you hear today, as well as the bellows of crocodilians (the closest non-dinosaur relatives). Dinosaurs didn’t ROAR, but there are a number of different sounds an animal can make besides a roar.
I'm losing confidence in these videos with each one i watch...
Yeah this channel is BS
I will never see Power Rangers the same way. RIP Blue Ranger.

I remember reading in a book that gave a quick overview of important philosophers, the American philosopher Charles Sanders Pearse who was also a scientist, claimed that all information was provisional and was in need of constant updating.
Actually it's still debated whether or not pachycephalosaurus butted heads. But I strongly believe that it did. The only arguments against it butting heads is that it would be too much of a risk on the user and that their skulls could crack. But the same can be said about modern animals that do the same sheep, goats, Buffalo, and various other animals. It's dangerous but they take the risk anyway for the sake of dominance and breeding.
Exactly, Also the Elephant example kind of contradicts this point... As Cartilage or Soft Tissue wouldn't be preserved...

yes there is a recent discovery of a dino named thannosaurus in southamerica
@@karlreneerubio4706 It isn't called Thannosaurus it's just called Thanos, an Abelisaurid discovered in Brazil
That's not the problem, head slippage is. You realize that you have two dome-headed animals charging at each other incredibly forcibly. These domed skulls only have one point of contact and smooth sides. Therefore, if they headbutted, their heads would literally slip against each other, breaking the neck.
So, T-rex is a big chicken
I knew chickens were scary.... 😭
No, more like a walking eagle
As i recall from school, a chicken is the closest living relative to a T-rex in todays world...

some of the stuf here listed as "new" discoveries, were already in the Jurassic Park and The lost World Novels Like warm blood dinosaurs, that they cared for their eggs and offspring, that they had birdlike structures, even speculated that their blood cells was similar to modern birds blood cells

My 5 year named his triceratops toy "horny" ....i couldnt stop giggling. Ahahahaha
The jury's still not in on head butting in Pachycephalosaurs. I think that they almost certainly did, just not as vigorously as goats. More akin to how giraffes head butt.
They would've moved faster and hit harder than goats due to their speed and high metabolism that carried over into birds. The jury is still out though and tbh giraffe headbutting would probably be similar due to how hard they hit
They found damaged tissue on the dome heads which other pachyrcephalosaurids without dome heads didn't have. so they definitely did but heads and fight among each other
I remember having a dinosaur book when I was a child that stated that there was only one T-Rex and he was the king of the dinosaurs....I now see how freaking stupid that book was lol
They found fossilized t rex skin. It was definitely scaled.
Depends on which form, early T.Rex had feathers, later T.Rex (possibly only, as the sample is tiny and from one particular area of the body) might not have had feathers, losing them in transition. Bottom line is we can imagine T.Rex as with or without which is cool in my mind :)
Check out about the fresh T.Rex flesh found frozen in Alaska. Not sure how that would last even a hundred thousand years. Just saaayin.
_"fresh T.Rex flesh found frozen in Alaska."_
Stop talking shite.
Sure but the scales we have are tiny, you might as well just say it had bare skin.
james morgan no evidence for this, we don't have direct evidence of feathers from any specimen of Tyrannosaurus. We have scales but they're tiny, in tiny patches, and they're for the most part where we'd expect scales not feathers so we can't say much about the animal's integument. It could have had feathers and scales, but saying an "earlier form" did without a doubt have feathers is inaccurate.
My fav Dinosaur I can’t pronounce, so yeah bummer.

How do scientist come up with all the crazy names! Why cant we just call them, Joe, or Bob.
😂😂😂
Cause, scientists need to feel exalted in their positions. By giving some newfound species some crazy-long Latin name, they become the person that found the, insertnamehere-saurus! Not the Joe... but I do agree with you on making things not so darn complex!
Man imagine there is a big beast monster and the name was Bob

Great video as always, did you know those 2 paleontologists that broke Guinness world record(they're rivals)they really butched up the fossils and even made some dinosaurs would never eveeerr be discovered because the one would dynamite some fossils to piss the other one.
This is a really good video, keep em coming ☺️
I keep losing things from the past. First Pluto, now this!

Actually those facts are old af.
Imagining seeing a gigantic T-Rex with wings come around the corner and being absolutely terrified, until instead of a roar, it quacks, then falling down laughing. The poor t-Rex would be so humiliated!
Something that weighs 9 or 10 tons, and is charging towards you, even if it is "honking"(birds make many sounds, and no doubt so did different species of dinosaurs), is going to be really loud, and the sound would no doubt be deeper, not to mention those wicked steak knife teeth catching the sun, and the massive talons...I don't think you'd fall over from laughter. me thinks you'd be rooted to the spot in terror, or high tailing as fast as you legs could accelerate. Not even going to imagine the state of your undergarments.
Your Jonathan P. Tennant impression was dead on.
I appreciate the Prefontaine reference, you don’t hear it often.
Hypothesis is not the same as a theory. So, the second brain on a stegosaurus is just an Hypothesis.
T-rex screaming like that was hilarious
For some reason the thought of a 40 foot honking T-Rex scares the shit out of me
I love this freaking channel
Sue is my favorite. The T-Rex at the museum in Chicago
Paleontology is such an amazing science. I wish it received greater funding and had more workers. I'm always amazed that a new insight or discovery about dinosaurs comes when work is finally done on some specimen that was excavated years or decades earlier but has been sitting in storage all that time due to lack of available people to work on and analyze it.
the elephant analogy really made a point
I'm sorry but Spino is still so much cooler than T-Rex (No shade on Rexy either!)

The triceratops/torosaurus thing has been rejected in 2012, there are inconsistencies in the theory, so at bare minimum, is not a fact yet

Science is ever evolving
U sound so dumb. Shut cho bitch ass up
Did you think info about things before recent decades had partial and ill constructed remains would remain static ?

Yes and the fact that thier head were like a bartering ram. Coulda stunned spino then took a good chunk out. Text shoulda won
Can we all just shut up about this?
Thats true because in real life spinosaurus snout was too slim to bite very hard so yea t rex could win for sure

Wait so Cranidos and Rampardos(the pokemon) would actually hurt itself when it uses Headbutt or any kind of heatbutt attack because it was inspired by a Pachycephalosaurus which according to the video only had big skulls for display? It's so sad but I still love Cranidos and Rampardos hehe

Same here
much of the information provided in the video has been proven as false or still in debate, specially the syrix, the feathered t-rex and the torosaurus/triceratops missindentification issue. And the interpreation of C.M. Kossman lacks any scientific rigor
Not sure he said all those werr concrete facts tho just pointing out theres still so much to learn snd not everything we thought was true is true
But the descendants of the decepticons definitely did land here and assume Dinosaur forms, that much is certain.
Good vid... but why would a Jurassic Park movie make us think we knew everything about this era? Considering how little fossilizes... I imagine we'd be more shocked than we think... if we could just take a 5min peak at the actual Triassic (or any other) period....
Superb editing on this episode, I can’t believe more people are acknowledging it!
