      It was not tightened. You can see how he rotates it, to get the angle right, to put it in the water bottle.

      @@krakdaus5442 you can yet these safety clamps that you can put on thr end of the hose to make it extra safe. You slide it on and squeeze it and it makes a more reliable seal when using on fuel, oil etc

    Rob please build some sort of shield between the cabin and the trunk now that you're running a monster surge tank setup there. Best to be safe and seal that area off!

    Lol, laminar flow, yeah right. That hose diameter and flow rate easily puts your Reynolds number way into the turbulent regime. Once it's turbulent it stays turbulent. Those bends help reduce head pressure losses, not to keep it laminar.

    Sooooo... Those pumps depend on the lubrication of the fuel..... Also those electrical connections are not water tight. Same thing with the pumps themselves.

    also when locking down any hose lines id suggest a clamptite tool. it uses wire to pretty much tourniquet any sized hose lines. you should check it out Rob

    Hey rob i just want to mention you need some brackets or clamps for those fuel hoses and you need different fuses you said those pumps draw 7 amps each if you put a too high capacity fuse in it it would still be able to short circuit because it wouldnt reach that peak and still burn down your car

      It looks like fluid is leaking between the hose and the nipple that he pressed the hose onto to me. Unless it is leaking up through the collar of the AN fitting. Difficult to tell since all the parts are black with no contrast.

    First thing I thought off. You could work this out yourself by taking your MPG and speed into consideration. Say you get 5mpg going at 100MPH, well simple math says it takes 3 minutes to travel 5 miles and that would be 1 gallon of fuel, or roughly 1.5 liters per minute used. All you'd have to do is find your MPG at your top speed for max fuel usage?

    Just a hint. Dont use oil for connections use hairspray it dries afterwards thus preventing a hose to come undone.

    Love watching your videos. But if you want to get close to 1400hp out of that surge tank you need a much larger feed. 8an can't flow enough. You need to up that to the same ORB fitting which looks like a 10an ORB on top of the surge tank

      The top unscrews on the surge tank, like he showed last video. He can just pull the pump holder, grab the canister and then tip the water out. As for the lines, it's just 2 vertical tunes, they will just gravity feed back to the surge tank, don't see the issue.

    Hope the main line fuel flow is not to much, for the return line to handle at idle.
    When no fuel is used everything goes back through the return, if it can not, the fuel pressure goes up and the engine could drown in fuel at idle.

      The fuel pressure regulator won't let that happen. All it will do is create back pressure the pumps will have to work against.

    Rob have you contemplated using a fuel cooler, the amount of hot fuel that will be returned from your engine unused will soon bump up your fuel temps and mess with the running of the car if you don’t have fuel temp correction etc

    probably a stupid question but you cant mount the surge tank sideways at all huh? i would expect it to ALWAYS be topped off with fuel but if you drain it quickly enough it will introduce airbubbles into the line im sure.

    Never use thread tape on fuel components. Never use water to test a pump. Don't use oil to press fit fuel line.
