KDH would fit this team ESPECIALLY with the injury record in midfield, extremely well, and would help Maresca bed his system in. Gallagher doesn’t perform well unless he’s playing regularly and isn’t suited to a possession team frankly. Think about this: Gallagher is a good looking, charismatic leader. He is exactly the type of guy people like Clearlake, who want to create branding around their players would DREAM about having on the squad. Given all that they still want to sell… that has to tell you something. Conor got much better with his errant passes last year, but he’s still at the point where half his ball recoveries are balls he lost to begin with, and he still has to look down to check where the ball is before passes. We have our starters. As much as Conor loves Chelsea he already said he loves playing more. KDH can slot into those deeper roles and do a technically good job on a moments notice, and he would be first cover for me in Palmers advanced 8/10 role. 12 goals 14 assists and excellent awareness. And a little added maturity back to the team.

And I don't think KDH is good enough for a team with aspirations of challenging for the PL and UEFA competitions. And Maresca has Casadei, who made 22 starts in the Championship for Maresca and knows the system. And I don't think Murillo is worth 70m. That's an insane price.
I'm a fan of managers bringing in players from their previous clubs. Brian Clough and Peter Taylor is a classic example for team building which seems to be ignored at many clubs and international level.
