I’m actually shocked by the amount of people who don’t remember how good Enzo was in the deep-lying role under Potter. He was clearly our best player during that period, and he was not a defensive liability. He is much more physical and mobile than Jorginho. People are judging his mobility on last season, but he was injured nearly all season. He isn’t particularly fast but he’s certainly faster than Jorginho.

Im a new viewer but a chelsea fan since little, and getting to see your content and opinions its really comforting, you analize the things that are happening, the singnings. But above all you have that positive aura, watching the comments in the Chelsea insta page its the most negative takes of all, and you get to see the things with great arguments and cold headed, we need to be more patient with a club that had its head cut away and its trying to grown a new one. The more videos I watch on Maresca, his style and system and how he adapts the team based on the oppositions setup, the more I think Nkunku profiles as his ideal #9 (go watch the masterclass from 6 or so months ago with Maresca speaking about his tactics).
I still think if we need another attacker, I really like the value proposition Johnathan David offers (can play multiple roles, still young at 24.5, but has played about 250 senior men's games, contract expiring in 12 months).
That's a big if, though, more pressing IMO is the GK situation. Again, watching videos on how Maresca plays, I have literally never seen Rob Sanchez do any of the things he asks of his GK. Spend the 40-50M on Unai Simon or the Georgian GK we would have otherwise spent on a new 9, and pick up a cut rate David to rotate.

As a Colombian and a brown person myself, my take on the French song is that it is kind of 'racist'. Its intent is definitely to mock and deride with a strong message of 'you guys are african, not french'. But this political correctness bs is something that I can't stand and I don't give a sh about them celebrating with a 'racist' song that they didn't come up with. The truth of the matter is that it was a song that was popular when they won the World Cup, so when they're happy and want to recall those emotions and feelings, they'll sing that song.
Also, some insight as a Colombian and as a Souith American. This is a constant thing the Argentinians do (hence why they came up with the song), when they banter or also when they are being aggressive (which is often to be fair, Argentinians are known to be a bit hotheaded in South America) they tend to call the rest of us South Americans 'browns' or 'monkeys'. The 15 year olds call us brown people, negroids, sub-humans and stuff like that. Yes, this is not all Argentinians. Most of them are nice people that wouldn't resonate with the sentiment. This is usually a loud portion of them because they want to be heard. I know for a fact that black people and brown people are welcome in their country. Heck, many great Colombian players that are black and brown are deeply loved in Argentina because they were so good for their local clubs.
Just so you know, this (the 'racist' insults) doesn't affect us whatsoever. We call the Argentinians rats and mugs and other terrible things. Should we be doing this? Probably not. But it is not all the time. We are all civil with each other, we are South American brothers, we are usually loving with one another. The thing is when football is involved and some rivalries form, a lot of emotion bubbles up, and that's when you'll see the aggression come out and that's when these insults, trying to get under the skin of the opponent, come from.
And btw, Colombia was completely robbed in that final against Argentina. It's clear as day that the VAR didn't intervene in 2 clear penalty calls --> And this is one of the reasons the rivalries form and the insults get slung. In many South American minds, mine included, it's become kind of like seeing the Barcelona - Chelsea match of 2009, the refs have clearly favored the Argentinians again and again and again. Reminds me of that Barca time of Guardiola and Messi (what a coincidence he's in both team, eh? /s) when it seemed like the refs were always favoring them. I personally, and many others in Colombia and South America, think that FIFA and CONMEBOL are cuddling Messi in his last years (among other things of course), and corruption is not a distant thing in South America. It's an everyday thing. There's corruption here in every corner. So when we see this corruption on the field, we project it to the rest of the Argentinians whenever we're discussing football.

Adeyemi is just awful. A LFC Diaz from Wish. Dribble, dribble, dribble but no endproduct. And i support BVB as my Bundesliga Club. He had a decent UCL Campaign last season. And thats it.
Watching that 8min training video was such a massiv amount of copium. Im still flashed. 🤣Did i realy watched our gaffer giving instructions on certain plays/patterns? Did the players worked with the ball? Short passes under pressure to deal with pressing? Not just running around and have some shots on goal? Did i realy watched a proper training? Am i awake or dreaming in the matrix?🙃I dont expect wonders aka compete with City or Arsenal. But i do demand UCL Football and some sort of Silverware aka winning Conference League.
