    I'll probably try to do this next year. Post up them Sucker Musky Catches. I tried the past few times I went out last week using suckers on my local Clear water Lake and only had one pickup and drop... Fricken wind kept me off the water the past few days. Sucks with New Moon being today really wanted to be out there... Heading out 2morrow morning for a few hours to cast dem Pounders down deep as the winds will finally be light. I Missed on a Beast 2 Sunday's ago on the 8 with a Posseidon right @ Moon Rise! Would've been great to fight a high 40's-50" on my 8' med-heavy mojo musky rod lol and the gopro was rolling. Damn it! @HumminbirdHelp  Před měsícem

      If you can keep it under 70 it will be ideal as bacteria grows fast above that. 60 you will have no problem keeping the water clear and bait alive with weekley 1/3 water changes

    Use a external overflow solids removal swirl filter then a biological then put another spot for the pump to just return the water completely removed the pump from your tank and reduces clogging and extends the life of your pump dramatically and keep fish from getting sucked up into them or weaker fish stuck to the side just a few tips if you've never seen swirl solid removal filters definitely give it a few minutes and as simple as it is it make keeping a clean tank so much easier hope it helps if u need links just lmk

    I have a blue sterilite plastic tub, 33 gallon as container, wedged between two pieces of furniture on the tub's sides so it doesn't bow out at all, then I can fill it all the way up with water. The blue sterilite container is better because it's a lot taller than the clear sterilite one.

      Dont get me wrong, it kept the bait tank super clean and clear but the internal parts of the filter were neading cleaned every 2 weeks r less. Now i have a dozen filter socks that I just rotate when overflowing and wash in the washing machine once all r dirty. Then good to go for months

      Where the water flows In across the top of the bait tank in naturally spirals around and keep sediment off the bottom. Once in a great while if I have a ton of fish in the bait tank I'll take my net and stir it around the bottom. It then gets over flowed out and caught in the filter socks.

    • @HumminbirdHelp
      @HumminbirdHelp  Před 5 lety

      That's a great idea, right now I have between 50-60 live bait in there! Since the suckers expell ammonia thru there gills I would recommend starting off with only a dozen! Feed them everyday and get the good bacteria in the biofilter set up before putting in a ton. U can always start off with some goldfish this winter and by spring will have plenty of good bacteria set up

    Under your micron filter bag , about half the distance that your filtered water has to drop . You should install a simple bio wheel . If your not familiar with what that is or how amazingly beneficial one would be in your system then allow me to enlighten you . They come in many shapes and sizes . Nothing to it really . All you need is the wheel that is close to a new roll of toilet paper in size . Just close to it in diameter and with . It's a aquarium product that is intended to be a replaceable component in a multi purpose tank hood , light , filter , pump , wheel , all in one unit . But you've already got all that and more . However the wheel is the key that serves many purposes other than a biological dynamo , it's the living heart and lungs of any system one is implanted in to . Trust me , you'll have fun incorporating one in to that system that you've got going there and want to make a part two video after . Pimp my bait tank would be a accurate title . Think of your bait as your ladies , your providing the big fish a service that looks and feels high price . So healthy and so fine ... Your going to be using your pole like a cane strutting down the dock raising the water quality as you go . Ain't no red nosed tired ass looking fitches in your live well . Every one is classy with shimmering fins that flow from a perfect fish shaped body . Every scale in place flashing under a slime coat that tastes like honey on a hook , mmm , mmm ! Go on Mr. Bass . You can afford a taste of that stuff ... My eye candy never looked so good as it does today thanks to my new homey Big D turning me on to the bio wheel . This is all just off the cuff comedy for if anyone who is wondering . But the wheel is as real as it gets . What is this bio wheel you speak of and how dose it work ? What's it made of ? These are questions that I had in the beginning and I will do my best to paint a image in your head . Remember the old Mississippi river steam ship that powered it's self with a huge paddle wheel at rear of the ship ? Okay remove that paddle wheel with it's axl in the center and sink the ship . We just need the wheel and water for an example . Remember another type of water related wheel used in the past that served as a power supply during the gold rush ? The big wheel set up over the flowing water . Lined not with paddles but independent trofes that would fill with water as each one went round . The weight of the water being the force that turned the huge wheel that would power a peace of mining equipment ? Well take those two wheels and shrink them down to the size of a roll of toilet paper on a perfectly centered fixed axel that portrudes

      Thanks for the heads up I may add this to my system
