Thanks Ken, OMG what an interesting interview. So good to hear this dialogue right from the horses mouth. It seems Mr. Klein so honest and forth coming with information that is valuable 😊

Excellent interview. What a cool dude. And good business sense. I’ll definitely make a trip out there next time I’m in NYC.

Interesting interview, Ken. I've noticed that asking prices on both Discogs and eBay have gone up since the pandemic. It seems a lot of people just clicked away and bought stuff when there was no place else to go. I must confess to being one of them!

I enjoyed this video very much. Human Head has been on my list of stores to buy from on Discogs.

I had a record store from 2002 - 2012, so was interesting to hear someone starting pretty much where I left off. When we started eBay and discogs was fantastic, unfortunately ended up to what it is today.
Great shop and product ✊🏻 hope you have many more years

I love these videos. It's so interesting to hear from unique record store owners. Any chance we get another jazz lesson from Jimmy the Vinyl Guy? Great job Ken. 👽✌️

Jimmy no longer cares about vinyl. He only cares about conspiracy theories, Bill Gates destroying the world, and other such blather and ballyhoo.

@@kenmicallefjazzvinylaudiop6455 How unfortunate. A wealth of musical knowledge wasted. 👽✌️

Tim Maia is a national hero in a sense, huge talent, crazy life. Great video, Ken. And yes, our 7 inches were all 33 rpm

Also funny you mentioned expansions , I would have always classed it as a £5 LP, I sold my last one last year for £40 Madness

I love this interview. Amazing store that is well run and professional. Not trying to have every record they sell be the highest $ on discogs. Priced and run for the longevity of vinyl and music lovers. Thank you

What is the music you are using here at the start of the video as background? Very sweet! Discogs better than ebay for sellers, Ebay take about 20%, Discogs 13%.

I'm sure Travis has lots of entertaining stories about customers but surely he's thinking that he doesn't want to gossip about his customers in front of his customers lol

Yeah what's up with Ebay taking their % out of your shipping charges? That's B.S! Seems like they are following Amazon's lead, Amazon started doing that to third-party sellers years ago, which is why I stopped selling stuff on Amazon.
I know what you mean about weirdo customers too. When I worked at a record store we had names for all the "special" customers. One guy we called "The Inspector" because he was a bottom-feeder who went through the .25 cassettes and held them up to the light looking for imperfections, then wrapped them in tissue paper after he bought them.
