There are two basic approaches to extracting a grounded ship. First, salvage crews will work to increase the vessel’s vertical buoyancy force, which means the whole boat floats higher in the water.
Second, tug boats will apply sufficient horizontal force to overcome the static friction generated by whatever material the boat is resting upon. The larger and heavier the vessel, the more force required by the tug boats to refloat the ship.

Shifting of responsibility rather than accepting the responsibility is now our national strategy. Following should have been the priority: 1. Safety, security and wellbeing of human onboard ( crew).2. Seamanship and technical under the prevailing circumstances. 3. Coordination among Shipping company, port Authority, Master and agents. 4. Commercial and financial effects. 5. Will to do.

Another great idea :) - Make holes sideways in the sand going under the ship (diagonal drill). Like 50 holes on each side of the ship in the sand. Now apply water pressure in the holes, the same pressure which a fire brigade produces. The water pressure will reduce the sand frictions and tugs can pull this out.

In my opinion the easiest way to float the ship is to ask the owner to arrange/rent another ship and unload/transfer the cargo before pulling it. I have a joke from an American show; one 70 years lady and one arm wrestler were to open a jar of olives. The lady opened it with a sort of wrench in under 30 seconds, the guy couldn’t open till the end of show with hands. Host of the program revealed to him near to end that his jar lid has super glue (elfi) on. You will not be able to afloat the ship with unloading the cargo.

I have an idea i name this idea trench and canal. We need to dig a trench around the ship leaving tge sand around to make it watertight too and a canal long enough to float the ship vertically. (same position it is grounded).
When high tide starts it flushes the sand that holds the ship and because of trench it spreads leaves a relatively deep water to float. At tgat point of time using tugs we can pull out tge ship. You can also use fire houses to flush the sand beneath the ship. Trench must be as wide as length of the ship and we have that capacity.

Instead of digging from shovels they can use sand dredging underneath the ship by using the dredgers. Maybe it can help them to make path. as in dubai they used this technology for making artificial islands.

  • @classicgamer8165

    I got an idea
Dono side se iron track rakhna chahiye fir thodi sand remove karke ship k niche ek ek karke roller (Launching airbags) use karna chahiye fir tug boats use karke thoda thoda move karke sea me float kar sakte hai
    1:Iron Track
2:slowly remove small amount of sand and fix launching Air bags (rollers) below to the ship on iron track.
    3.Move ship using tug boats
    4.Repetations untill ship float
    I hope it may work
    Waiting for experts opinion 😁

  • @postgo
    @postgo Před 3 lety +1

First unload all cargo after doing official paperwork and authoritys should force the concerns to make this happen
Second thing hire sea water pumping ships and satele them as near to this ship as posible and attach long distance pipe as needed then ground big pipes around this ship then start pumps to suke sea water and drain ship around all sides to reduce sand up to sea and it will not float imdiatly but results will apears after few hours under the ship when the level of save shake achived as ship sides become fully lubricated sand or wet sand then use tugs to pull out slowly and repeat 🔁 this method again and again till ship fully out of ground

    Sir,
    1) We can do one thing, dig surrounding with enough dept.
    2) pump water from see itself and let the water flow in that dept.
    3) same time set up one pump to remove the sand after enough level of water.
Since we are using see water to pump we have good amount of water source and only maintainance will be of pump if it fails at some point.
I feel, once we see the ship floating then we can use same idea to make a route for it to see.

Thanks for providing excellent knowledge. I thing barge can take out loaded containers one by one if owner agree.i am very surprise that why the owner did not try to repair engine of the ship, Karachi have excellent engineers which know about ship engine. As propeller will start work ship will start to move starboard side and tugboats also need to puled it in same time, if it will be offloaded in the meantime I fully hope ship will move.

Sir I have zero knowledge about vessels. But I have a opinion use inflatable tubes, place it below and at the same time use some water suction motors which are easy to handle use the sea water to flush the ship towards the sea and on the sea end small tugs can pull. As i told i have zero knowledge about vessels but its just an idea which popped up in my mind
