after rank ten in the TCG, there still should be some way to earn rewards even if there not Primos, like talent books or mora even. but since there nothing after the max ranks it just becomes pointless :( which is sad bc i really liked TCG, i hope they do something more with the mini game.
Idk why they didn’t, they did it for the Teapot and not the TCG. Even more so for the fact that the TCG, will require more playtime on the long-term after hitting level 10. As you’d actually need to duel to get the rewards preferably, versus the Teapot where you grab your realm currency every other day to avoid capping and buy the resources from the Realm Depot.
I've barely touched TCG. I just want a vagabond event from back then to come back! Something to challenge my built characters I put a lot of investment into 😔
I wanted Vagabond to come back as well, but seeing what they did to the Hypostatic Symphony rerun event… I’m not to sure, I want it to come back now lol.
You may have, but the game is filled with lazy casuals that dislike vagabond and prefer hide n seek and gathering flowers, so we get challenging events once every three months..
Yeah...painful 😔
@@johnd7760 go to the current spiral abyss and see why non-meta players hate "challenging" content. Mihoyo can't make challenges.
@@zenixkiryu go ingame you mean? i alr tried multiple teams, blessing is broken even for casuals so for this rotation, there's no excuse.
it's that they won't do it' i dunno if you're a veteran or not to remember, back then during 1.0-2.0 and such, it was really challenging even if u had all the current meta teams..obviously back then the casuals were less than now so there's that..
artifact farming is more to flex rather than completing Abyss, now😂
Yeah, this is basically what I thought from the beginning, if they didn't keep up with it, it was gonna die and die fast. There's no reason to play something that is rng based which doesn't give rewards.
Just seems meaningless at this point tbh
The only thing that would make it better is if they had PVP rankings and you get some reward based off of how well you did that particular season. And then they would have to care more about balancing and nerfing and that's a lot of work.
It would be a lot of work, but at the same time they definitely have the resources to do so.
@@SpaceDuck they have the resources to do a lot of stuff. But noooooooo.
Тогда казуальные игроки останутся недовольными, нужно же постараться
I litteraly forgot the minigame exist and also I blame that notorius dev interview because that interview was out few weeks before TCG officialy out and the reception of player dissapointent that no actual new future combat and exploration endgame contnet like the dev said which caused a chain reaction with how people see TCG minigame and this is not gonna be the first someday when Liyue chest millenial minigame out that soon suffer the same fate. In the end action have consequence.
its still a fun mode. but once reaching lvl 10 on the tcg, its a no real incentive to do matches against the lvl 10 duels.
Achievements though, can give u the incentive. Though, they're easily completed, besides the coin gathering ones
The problem with the side games is the lack of rewards. Mihoyo creates these side games and conveniently forgets to add incentives to play them.
Fishing is another thing that needs more incentives (beyond "the Catch").
I agree, they really should of added more incentive. But it is what it is, I suppose
I like it, and plan to play more of it in the future (hopefully), but between two accounts, with one barely touching Sumeru, it will take me hundreds of hours to catch up (not exaggerating)
ranked mode is fine as long as it doesn't give out any rewards. genshin is not ac card game and not everyone is bothered to even play the tcg in the first place. they should create a seeprate game if they do decide to add rewarded ranked modes
I have been saying this for ages. If they want to add better options we need event gamemodes from previous events on a weekly repeatable basis with primo rewards. The rewards don't even need to be so high.
I didnt like it from the start, even more when they added it in a quest, sure yes was it fun but kinda stretched.
I think addding windtrace a permanent event would be more of a fun and MANY people would enjoy it more, than this. But man can only dream like they say.
Gotta say fishing is in the same category, was doomed to fall like literally the only good thing in that is the catch, and farming that is kinda out of universe too.
Great video and i definitelly agree with ya.
Felt a bit forced with the quest ngl. Maybe one day they'll add Windtrace as a permanent event lol. Glad you enjoyed the vid tho!
Meh, not rl.. though many casuals kove Windtrace, if u dont play with friends but randos, it can get annoying fast if ure with teams that just get caught fast and such..
It was boring for me anyway, let it be forgotten..
im just glad i rushed it before they nerfed Yoi & some cards🙄
it's honestly fun playing casually, maybe one game once a month? but more than that isn't a vibe for me
but it was a nice surprise to stumble upon playing a single game of it in the new dirge of bilqis quest line! just a casual appearance with a low level difficulty made it nice
Surprised they added it in the world quest. Personally wasn’t a fan of it, but at least it was fairly quick
wasn't rl a surprise, it was a game u could finish blindly by tapping random cards 😂
As a casual player, I think a ranked mode would be nice for once if there's no more rewards left kind of like the spiral abyss, have rewards on a patch basis. I think this is fair for once because TCG isn't a game where you can buy yourself to the top as opposed to characters and whaling. But I don't want ranking to be based on how many games won cuz that's not fair to people who don't have time and that doesn't demonstrate the person who won so many games is any more better at the game than someone who doesn't have the time, yet can strategize better. Thus, I think they should hold official tournaments on a patch by patch basis to encourage people to keep playing and build their decks.
Crazy their excuse for no end game content is anxiety when it’s literally a gacha game w/ some of the worse rates and limited events , region locked and limited mats but ofc that’s not gonna be the source of anxiety…
TCG becomes boring once i reached lvl 10
and also, some NPCs using 4 or more character cards on board wtf
that's against rules. Even enemies in Yugioh Steam never do that
I did the quest and them never touched it again, its so boring
The reason why people enjoy physical card games is that your opponent is forced to give you a reward when they lose
i haven’t even touched this crap. Like i honestly didn’t understand the hype…i personally didn’t crack out my characters to play some stupid card game. If i wanted to play a card game i i’d go play Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, magic or even fricking UNO.
Exactly what I'm saying
I rarely play TCG but it's fun when I occasionally do
What would you rate it out of 10?
This mode perfectly encapsulates the Genshin gameplay loop.they release something big that no one asked for and it dies 1 patch later. 😂
Instead of releasing these dumb gimmicks that they probably wont support long term how about give people more story mode per patch.
HYV BTW... I have no idea, what they're doing at this point lol
that's their idea of a nin anxiety end game 💀
let's see in two years when a candy crash like mode may do its appearance 😂
I am one of those peeps that didnt bother about this shet, just got forced do it before the the duel summoner event ends 2 days from now, damn thing is not only boring, man its freakin slow, they couldve just add something else from the old event.
I literally only did the forced cutscene quest and never touched it again, if I wanted to play a card game I'd go download a card. Very misleading this game is nothing as it's advertised and this patch could definitely be my last after playing since day1. I just can't anymore
Tell me about it dude! It's really sad to see where the game has ended up tbh
As a person who likes competitive games and is a master of TCG, I would say that the way it was implemented is actually really good. Adding a ranking system would definitely ruin it. As you mentioned Genshin is a mostly casual game so why would you want to take away that? The way they have it set now is you can play for fun against other players for no reward. The competitive aspect of the game is literally only in your mind. And if you want to get all the rewards you don't need to play against real players at all. They do have weekly tavern invites so that is something and they just added a temporary blitz mode so they are trying to improve it. And the RNG factor is super important. Yes a lot of the game revolves around luck, but that just means that an underdog can beat the master just with pure luck and no skill. Don't you want to see a massive comeback? It makes the game less predictable and more fun. If you are a pro though you will use cards at your disposal to the best of your abilities and you will minimize the disadvantage that a bad roll might give you. Also there is no one real meta. There is quite a lot of flexibility in your team composition and support setup. And the luck aspect just makes it more difficult to consistently run meta all the time.
Well, it’s more so that casual can often be deemed as a double edged sword. Yes, it’s nice that the game can be chill, and easy. But at the same time, if it’s too easy the end goal is a lot simpler and quicker to reach which is where the repetitiveness and boredom comes into play. In terms of the RNG, I was more so referring to individuals on the lines of equal skill level. So if the dice rolls screwed someone over, it’s not so much skill but RNG that resulted in their loss. Also, the competitive mode is already there. It’s just there’s no rankings tied behind it. If there were no metas, cards such as Yoimiya wouldn’t have gotten nerfed. Ayaka/Yoimiya decks were just too strong and I believe are still strong despite the nerds atm. I don’t follow the current metas as I’ve dropped the TCG atp.
@@SpaceDuck I see your point about the casual mode being a double edged sword. But I would argue that it doesn't matter. It is an optional gameplay feature and it's not at all required to participate in it. You're also not loosing out much if you don't participate in it. And besides, it can always change in the future. My point was more to do with your title and video being overdramatic and that the game was never intended to be the next big thing that would elevate genshin players to the next realm of consciousness, but rather a fun way to kill some time.
I don't play TCG so much, only in some rare occasions if I need primos and that's all
What level are you at currently?
@@SpaceDuck I think 3/4 it's not that high but primos are primos
I hate the dice part of the game, there's no skill in this game so i only play it for primos once I get it all I'm out but if they give mora or resin at the very least I'll come back or else hell nah... Nice vid btw I agree !
Tell me about it dude! Glad you enjoyed the vid!
There is, strategy. The rng of dice isn't that harsh since there are cards to work around it.
But it's easy judging smth when u have zero experience at it👌
first
Ngl the TCG was a L from the start, still waiting for hoyo to add in a guild or raid mode though
Imagine guilds and raids in Genshin
It’s just really boring and I am almost at lv seven after not playing it since other things are more important

Genshin is a casual game the fact they don’t up the abyss should say that end game content won’t be capitalized in this game a ranked mode will only bring the complete try hards out more and more I get it ranked more rest every 2 weeks with abyss sounds amazing but let’s be honest it’s genshin impact we are talking about that said I think they’ll build on the TCG hype a little more or else they have to throw it away like the tea pot. Genshin will continue to add more and more stuff and not build on it cause if they do they’ll go in hardcore category tea pot tcg next thing you know you have a space type game 🤣
100% it's a casual game! The thing is that the hype for the TCG is pretty much nonexistent now. Either players have made the choice to hit player level 10, which has been long overdue now if you started from the beginning or they are either on the fence of not playing the TCG to even begin with. The thing is they've put a good amount of resources into it, which let's be real here, no one asked for lol. The fact that there's essentially no incentive to keep playing, feels like a slap to the face tbh. Even the Serenitea Pot has extra resources, let alone the TCG that requires much more effort than going into your Teapot to claim realm currency, grab x resources, and leave.
Genshin is not a casual game, it’s a gacha, and gachas need endgame content.
Eeeehy
Heeeeeeyy
first!!! :D
:D
Yeah it’s a shame that the tcg flopped and didn’t even last a full patch. As much as I would love to play it again, hoyoverse really need to add some meaningful incentives to get us players to actually wanna play it again
Tell me about it, I feel like at this point they probably won't but who knows lol
