Jason has the most beautiful soul I've ever seen in someone. You could hear him getting choked up. He is such a beautiful man inside and out and what I really respect about him is his love of people and of adventure. He's extremely passionate and treats every day like it's his last day on Earth. He has the heart of a lion. He's a protector and he's an advocate and he's absolutely selfless. The world would be a much better place if there were more people like him in it.

I think since Jason has children he's able to relate with this boys parents and he's trying to make the kid feel good about himself. Maybe it sounded a little weird but there was nothing but good intentions behind it.
