This movie was a pleasant surprise for me. I expected a bland boring monster movie and got something so much more. The fight scenes are amazing and the music and sound effects of the monsters makes you feel like you’re witnessing two gods fighting up close. Well done.
How could you expect that out of Godzilla ???

It'd be the human element. It explains the urgency, while also showing how small and helpless we are in comparison. Without it, you'd have 2 monsters fighting and no explanation

@@aiminathshiuna8614 actually the critics liked the first one more and they preferred the build up to Godzilla's epic fight. They criticized this more cuz there was little anticipation and build up to the fight scenes that in the end, it didn't feel epic anymore. And of course, they also criticized too much human characters as well. Personally i loved this movie but I do prefer if they focused more on the monsters and not the human drama.

@@cinnarenaroll1292 yeah that movies has like a metric tons of reference to other (mostly godzilla) monster movie. For exemple, in the first movie (which was released in 1954 don't come crying about spoilers) a character named Serisawa sacrificed himself using the oxygen destroyer to stop Godzilla.

I cried too. I cried hard. For it took me awhile to realize why the docs name was so familiar and then my brother told me after the movie and I cried even more when I see that scene. For that scene shows a character doing two different things in two different timelines but yet they hold a great impact. I will forever cry to that scene

I like Godzilla's Legendary way better than his original. I feel like there's no power in his original roar. Serizawa's death in this movie still made me cry.

@@prska You could say that, but since the announcement of Kong vs Godzilla, the two fanbases split apart, with Godzilla having a huge amount of fans because of his prior movie Godzilla 2014 and over 60 years of running franchise, Kong is the underdog here because he has a very smol fanbase.

i’m so envious of this omg. i watched this film in cinemas in my country and even though the seats were all full, it was completely silent during the whole film. yeah some people prefer that kind of atmosphere, but i would kill to be able to cheer and laugh and clap without getting shushed
