Turquoise is not only beautiful and comfortable to wear but natural turquoise has healing energies.

@@turquoiseinamerica3164 so your saying it's one of the crystal / gems that gives out a resonate/vibration?

@@jeffreymonahan6826 Everything has its own unique frequency and vibration. Natural turquoise has a different frequency than epoxy plastic.

I have a coffee can full of Turquoise from an estate sale of a rock hound, and I have been told that some of the larger pieces look like Hachita. Most of the smaller stuff looks more like Kingman. When I picked the coffee can up, I had to spit on the rocks for it to reveal the color, so a lot of it needs to be stabilized, but when it's wet, the colors are so nice. What are the old ways of stabilizing before two part epoxy and acetone?

Modern means of turquoise treatment began with the introduction of plastic polymers after WWII. While there are any number of homemade treats good results require professional treatment.
Prior to plastic I imagine most treats involved surface oil or wax.

Thank you for your education! Are you able to identify turquoise from a picture? I was hoping to find an expert opinion on a piece of my own. I’m not looking for an appraisal, just help identifying. I have watched all your videos and I am still scratching my head 😂 Thank you!

I can try but it is very difficult in most cases.

@@Mb-yb9op That was a short look. I do think it is turquoise and my first guess would be King Manassa. As you say it could also be Royston or Cerrillos although not as much New Mexico turquoise has ended up in jewelry. Very pretty stone.
