Fantastic, I can’t get around the belief that this (your ability) is from years of painting experience. Loosely for sure but not accidental. Perhaps 300 attempts for an newbie like me and I could get close to the freedom you are able to paint with. Thanks for sharing your talent. Cheers

Assalaamu Alaikum Samir. I just discovered your channel today and am so grateful. I'm trying to learn to paint. Could you tell me what the underpainting was? I don't have oil paints. I have a gouache set. What could I use to make an underpainting that goes with gouache paints? Thanks in advance.
Alaikumu Salaam, i use any earthy color to tone the canvas. I did't use gouache ever, so I am not sure I can help you. Best painter you can find on yt using gouache is @JamesGurney. Hope you can find everything you need on his channel.

Thank you glad you like it. It is just some earthy tone mixed with some linseed oil to tone the canvas.

Don't use puré white in your paint. Put anything of color.
