It didn't end on a cliffhanger. They were making a joke on how they cancel stuff and he was changing everything to not get canceled but they did get canceled and that's how they showed it
A movie and 7th season is in the making. The 7th season is gonna be released sometime in 2025, and I’m not sure about the movie.

In terms of what gumballs world is supposed to be, it is said that they live within a tv show, The Signal is basically a fourth wall break episode that plays on this fact. Also someone else mentioned the episode The Disaster which basically proves they do and Rob is pretty much the only one aware of it.
I didn't expect you to jump straight into the series finale. So, a little context: Rob, the glitchy character that was pretending to be the superintendent, is one of the few characters that know it's all a cartoon. Even though he's the villain, it's implied that he was actually trying to stop the show from being canceled.
From what I've heard, this was supposed to be followed up by a movie and then a sequel series, but sh*t happened and now we're not sure if we're getting the movie or not, but from what I've heard they're still working on the sequel series

Seeing as you likely won't see them in order, or remember too far to the point, here's a full context on who Rob is: he was probably one the most minor students in S1, a lanky blue CG cyclops, most seen in The Party and The Fight.
His S2 appearance in The Pony was on how Gumball and Darwin didn't know who he was.
S3 is where continuity started becoming more prevalent. In The Void, Gumball remembers a classmate (from S1's The Pressure) and they join the school counselor to find her. The Void is a dimension of TV static filled with 'all the mistakes that the world has ever made'. Rob also cameos by a rejected render of Gumballs house.
Come The Nobody, we see him cling on to their escape but left disfigured (as he's looked since). He camped out in Gumballs house, as his family 'were the only ones thick enough to not notice', having a basement they didn't even know about. As Gumball and Darwin tried to come up with a role in the world for Rob, they considered how there was no bad guy. Rob's memory then returns and he vowed to be their nemesis. In The Nemesis, his plots flopped so the boys tried helping him, and Rob made a pretty big surprise in The Bus.
Come S4's finale, The Disaster, he obtains a magic TV remote from a red van selling cursed objects (Gumballs dad calls it The Awesome Store). He proceeded to Ruin Gumballs life ultimately telling him "you've only yourself to blame, you made me the villain". Gumball got ahold of the remote and reset the day in S5's The Rerun. When Rob got the upper hand, he wasn't happy with it, and reverted everything and destroyed the remote.
By The Ex, he tried moving on to Banana Joe as a nemesis, but Gumball proved annoying enough that he took him back.
The Spinoffs sees Rob show random clips of characters in attempt to find a better lead than Gumball.
Earlier on in S3's The Oracle, we see Joe's mom had been painting scenes of past episodes before they happened. By the end she painted Gumballs family running through the Void - a scene that hasn't surfaced...
These paintings return in The Future, where Rob kidnaps her to paint him the future, only for her to continually paint static. After finding her painting seems to control reality, they managed to erase Rob ,but feeling sorta guilty, they painted him back. It end with Banana Joe's mom ominously saying there is no future, with a static silhouette of Superintendent Evil last second.
And at last we reach The Inquisition. Rob's objective of making them into realistic humans to 'escape to the other place' likely was for them to survive in our world with the demise of their show. Rob also had the same end pose as The Future.
With a Gumball movie uncertain with HBO Max's behavior and a S7 yet to release, we've yet to see how things 'll go down.

basically Rob was an irrelevant character in the first two seasons of the show and so he was deleted from the universe and sent to the Void, a dimension that banishes failed ideas from existence. when he escaped it disfigured him into the glitchy form he is now and he became Gumball's arch nemesis for revenge, and later understands that they live in a cartoon world. In the last season of the show, he learns through the prophetic paintings of Banana Barbara that Elmore would be consumed by the Void because the show was ending, so he tried turning everyone into humans so they could escape into the real world but failed

There were 2 teachers in my high school who were married. Same last name and everything. One taught biology and anatomy, the other history and driver's ed. IDK if they were married before being hired there, but relationships between school staff isnt entirely unheard of.
Yeah. My FACs teacher in middle school we had in the 8th grade and a school admin got married like maybe a year of dating (the FACs teacher was a tutor for some special ED kids including me the year before). I don't think niether of them had any backlash from doing that.

9:27 There’s a little bit of truth to this. In my old school district, we weren’t allowed to have any facial or umbilical piercings, unless it was an earring or nose stud. The main rule was against having nose rings, lip rings, tongue studs, belly button studs, etc.

There was SUPPOSED to be a movie to tie up the loose ends. Unfortunately, Cartoon Network wouldn't make it, so the show is left without its ending.

I think a real life human in a cartoon world is breaking the law of physics. Like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, when Eddie traveled into the cartoon world. I wished he was real, that would have been funny. I like the idea of cartoon characters turning into not only humans, but live action humans. And the cartoony characters not knowing what they are. It’s a funny concept in cartoons. DuckTales 2017 did something similar where they broke the fourth wall and found out they were in a Tv show and the audience were humans. Although they were cartoon humans, but every character has only been animals.

Oh my goodness, Brandon, I'm so so sorry that I left this channel for like the entirety of May 2024 and the last remaining days of April 2024 ever since I let you know that your channel was about to reach 100 videos and that April 25th 2024 was my 18th birthday, I am aware that your channel already reached 100 videos, your channel has like 120 videos now I think, correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm might not be as smart as you, I want to let you know that while you're doing you are doing, I'll be watching this channel's videos and commenting on them, just not all that often, maybe it'll be more often when I get a few days free from school in like June or July, I happened to get too busy with my own personal work in school, with studying for a test I left unfinished and that I knew I had to complete on the day it had to be finished, I even got two school essays yesterday, one for mathematics and another for language, and I couldn't use my phone to talk to you in the comments at the time I was doing the essays because that would be illegal and something that would be banned by whatever teacher was in the classroom, and I think you would even know it considering you're a high school principal from the US state of Georgia and not a doctor on a medical channel, today, the first day of June 2024, my brother is taking a test even though it's Saturday and I personally don't have school on Saturdays, and before you ask, that test that my brother is taking IS an essay, I'm back on this channel now as you can, anyways, I can see that you watched for the first time what people considered the last episode of The Amazing World Of Gumball, I surely was not expecting this video to come out on the first day of June 2024 but eh... I can deal with it that unexpected surprise considering that those people in the comments have been asking you for this specific episode overwhelmingly, and yes, as a person who has The Amazing World Of Gumball as one of his favorite childhood shows, others being Phineas and Ferb, Clarence, Mr. Bean, etc, I do admit that the ending of this episode was so dark and sad, I mean, I get that it's what Banana Barbara painted at the end of the episode The Future (a previous episode that doesn't take place in school) but still...
My favorite moment in this episode was honestly Gumball and Darwin stretching their arms all the way to space until giving each other a completely silent high five 💙 🧡
Please excuse me if those other 3 shows I mentioned are ones that you haven't seen or known about before, I know, if that's the case then I came first when coming to watch them.

I really want them to make another season or a movie because this feels like the ending of Woody’s roundup from toy story two and I just want them to continue making it or at least to put a real ending cause you can’t end the show like that you have to know what happens. It's a real ending. Rob even talks about how it'll all end and whatnot. And he was changing everything to not get canceled but they did get canceled and that's how they showed it

Around the older seasons, the tree esque librarian looked more 8-bit like an old video game. I think this rubber hose design came in late S5 circa The List, tho I'm not sure if it's solidly the same character.
The orange Puppet, Rocky, does the cafeteria, janitor and bus driver. His parents, Mr and Mrs Robinson live next door to Gumball. Gumball and Darwin love Mr Robinson, but he can't stand them. Rocky's cool tho.
Mr Cornielle, the pixellated Frog, I believe is a geography teacher and introduced later on around S3 or 4 in The Others, when Gumball finally opened his mind to students outside his grade (Gumballs pretty self absorbed like that).
Gumball was originally pitched as starring a school full of cartoon rejects, hence why the animation styles are so varied.
Banana Joe has dropped his skin numerous times. Some stand outs I can think of include The Joy, The Butterfly and The Test.
I'd really recommend The Sock, regarding Brown and Simian dating.

17:29 of the crowd here, I think the only ones we haven't seen transformed would be the ghost, Balloon, cactus, Flying eye, and Principal Brown.
We can have an idea of how Gumball would've looked via The Nuisance, where his family tried being nicer to the town, but apparently they went too far and did a horrific transformation into 'model citizens'. Gumball, his sister and their parents having the same design as the students, while Darwin unfortunately became a dog.
