2023 is gonna be SICK for endurance racing!!!!!!!!!!
Red white and black, never would have guessed lol
@@sambird141 its simple, but effective XD
And imagine the years beyond đ€€
nah with the power limit all race cars are boring now! Only 680hp limit
This looks fantastic, can't wait to see it in action!
I seriously think the series should up their game on advertising to get more people to know about it with this golden opportunity, can't let F1 took all the spotlights!
I'm a big fan of F1 and I tried to enter the GT/endurance world but I got overwhelmed. There are so many categories that I lost it all.
The fact that there are amateur drivers with not elite level of skill, involved along with pros wont let it become an appealing as F1 is to the public that isnt deep into motor racing.
@@guilhermelopes7939 So many different drivers to remember too
@@guilhermelopes7939 its a little to much for you common f1 weak fan huh?
@@Sicxo thereâs the issue with endurance racing for some people, there isnât a sole driver to support and the emphasis is on cars/teams.
I like how it is one number greater than the 962, it is an excellent callback and I think this new era of the WEC will be very reminiscent of the group c days.
its imsa... oh correcting myself. did not know they start in WEC aswell
@@schore69 The LMDH class is allowed to compete in IMSA and the WEC, that is what makes it so great.
@@benrodriguez675 Also it is way cheaper than LMP1 was and allows for more design freedom than LMP2 so itâs a lot more attractive to manufacturers
The greater design freedom is quite subjective, they're all going for the same kind of shape but the details are very different from one another.

It's like a combination of the 919 EVO and the Vision GT, absolutely stunning.
letâs hope they make an unrestricted EVO version some day
I think it kinda looks like the Mazda DPi
It simply just looks like a LMP2-IMSA. Hypercar cars are far more unique
@@JustusKuroVT same chassis so that could explain it
@@turboplaygame the LMDH are basically hybride LMP2 cars with liberty for manufacturer to add identity visual clues into the headlight design.
Whatâs crazy is that there are so many manufacturers entering the LMDh class next year, and many of them are coming out of left field. Cadillac is making its debut, same with BMW with a Dallara chassis, Porsche is returning as a factory team, Ferrari is returning as a factory team, Acura is in the mix (although expected), Glickenhaus may be in there in 2023, Alpine is developing a car for the 2024 season, Audi may return in 2024, Peugeot is partnering with Ligier for 2024, thereâs so much going on that I wonât hesitate to say that we may be entering a new golden era of endurance racing in the next 1-2 years. This will be truly incredible!
Don't forget Lamborghini and ByKolles!
Ferrari will enter by the Le Mans Hypercar regulations (full in-house built)
Peugeot is not partnering with ligiier it's a lmh ! Audi will not return they're replaced by Lamborghini with a litter chassis, acura will be there with an orceca chassis, also Porsche chassis is made by multimatic ...
Dammit, I didnt know that quite a few manufacturers were waiting for the 2024 year to enter, I thought 2023 was when we would see a full grid of manufacturers. I guess another year of waiting isnt too bad, that will give gt cars a chance to evolve and hopefully we'll see some new ones like the beautiful new m4 gt3 race in gt alongside the new prototype class. Also dont forget I'm pretty sure toyota is of course going to be racing in lmdh. Its something like 10 manufacturers, Incredible for a prototype class.
And lamborghini in 2024
Looks very similar to the monster that is the 919 evo. I think Porsche's going to have yet another great year of endurance racing.
But it's much much slower than 919 Evo
Bear in mind that it will be a Penske/Porsche pairing, not a Porsche works entry. Much less money involved
I think it looks alot different.
@@TheSanco26 me too much more like a group C / 919 melt, and I like it (didnt like the 919)
Looks are deceiving they will be slow, they are LMP2 with a stock electric motor on the front axle.

That thing sounds INCREDIBLE - the huge turbo is something from the 80s! I guess with the additional electric package they can forget about turbo lag altogether and just bolt on the biggest, loudest thing they like
Anti-lag is pretty much standard fare on racing turbos now.
It's got two turbos. And it's a pretty big motor at 4.6 liters so lag should be pretty minimal anyways.

I'm so excited for the future of LeMans. I like that Toyota has a few wins under their belt, but it's really time for more competition by other major manufacturers in the LMP1 class

I think the Toyota only fighting against themselves and to not breake anything was a bit boring and not really worthy of an overal Le Mons victory. But now the fighting at the top finally comes back.
All the most iconic manufacturers, all winners of the last 20 years are going to be on the same grid fighting for the title of the century. So exciting after these last years of literal drought for fun and suspense.

@Rob why changing something beautiful already ?
I can't wait Le Mans and Daytona 2023! IMSA and ACO having a compatible top class is beautiful!
Even more lovely sounding then the initial first footage dropped for the car on track! Absolutely beautiful I canât wait to see this future lmdh grid
The car looks amazing particularly in the color scheme. I really like how the car's chassis is 963.
The exhaust note sounds like a small displacement turbocharged V8 unless I'm mistaken and sounds grunty and lovely.
I really like how they have integrated a lateral rear taillight strip across the trailing edge of the rear wing deck that looks a bit like the current 911 and it's far more distinctive than just the wing tip brake light LEDs it's important for the fans to distinguish the car from the front and rear when it's nighttime. This rear running light feature on the 963 makes the car unique and easier to recognize for all us fans and would like to see the other manufacturers adopt this in some way to make their cars recognizable at night from the rear.
The series which this car and other manufacturers will run in such as: WEC, IMSA and the ACO via Le Mans is going to be absolutely amazing. Golden era arriving.
@Rob It's the company colour though. Yes, they could have made it Yellow and Blue, like the Penske colours, but then it wouldn't be recongnisable as a Porsche anymore (in a colourful way).
This car is a version on steroids of the 918 spider, same twin turbo V8 and hybrid. This beast will dominate for sure

I'm deeply saddened nobody did the sexy whistle. LMDH in 2023 is going to be a new golden era of racing. Such a gigantic, diverse grid. I dont think we've ever even had a prototype class with this amount of manufacturers before in modern racing. I'm hoping soon gt3 hits its next generation or we get a new generation of gte/gtlm to compliment these beauties.
I really hyped, the new era of Endurance could be amazing and one the best of all time
Porsche, BMW, Cadillac, Acura, Alpine, Ferrari, Toyota, Glickenhaus, Peugeot, Lambo. Just two cars a piece is pretty incredible for a top class not counting customer cars or potential corporate rebranding like Nissan(Alpine) and Dodge(Peugeot
Toyota, Glick, Porsche, Caddy, Ferrari, Peugeot are on the start next year... Vanwall is a possibility too, although with only 1 car. BMW is 50/50 sure to join in 2024 to celebrate 25 years V12 LMR, Lamborghini will join in 2025 and Alpine will build a LMDh for that year too. 7-9 LMH cars, 8-10 LMDh cars, and possibly some spec Hydrogen cars built by Red Bull... (Those will EVENTUALLY be on the grid for sure). We could see 25 or so cars fight for the win in 2025!
And if Acura decides to commit to WEC, +2. If Mr. Stroll decides to go for it (highly unlikely) +2, if McLaren commits (still being decided) +2, if Audi decides to unfreeze their development in the coming years (meh, idk) +2! Turnout could be 30 cars, but 20 cars isnât even that improbable!
